Hi,I have a strange problem with AI, I don't know if it is RC4 related. After I start RC4 everything is normal for some minutes, then all in a sudden, there appear clutters of AI aircraft, even 15-20 aircraft grouped in small areas (at different altitudes) in the zones around me (I can see it on my Flightsim Commander window). This creates a remarkable decrease in frame rate, that keeps until many of those aircraft have spread (and also a lot of TCAS traffic advisories).Has anyone had anything like that?I tried without RC4 only a couple of times and the problem did not show up, but this does not mean that it's RC4 related.I don't have any particular AI software, I just dow…

Prior to running the Rebuild Database utility, RC4.01's runway database for KMIA included the old 9L, which is now 8R. Upon Rebuilding the database, the utility eliminated all but 12 / 30 at KMIA, oooppps!!! Now, I am using Fly Tampa's KMIA and their AFCAD2 as well. I checked the r4.csv and runways.csv excel files and indeed, only 12/30 are listed. How can I correct this and addin the proper runways for KMIA ? Randy Jura, KPDX

I have noticed this in the past, but have not really paid much attention to it. I was flying out of SBGL today and got clearance to taxi to runway 10. In the process of the taxi I was told to contact tower. I noticed on the AdvDisplay that I still had over 6,000 feet to go before I got to the hold short area. I usually just wait until I am at the hold short area then contact tower. If you contact tower at the time you are told, you will be told to taxi into position and hold, in my case 6,000 feet too soon.:( It doesn't seem to present a problem by waiting to contact tower. Just was curious if it was a normal thing to happen or not. Thanks.jman214

Hi,I was taxying at Edinburgh this evening and an aircraft landed and taxied right across my path. I was not asked to hold, nor was the other aircraft. Is this correct?I was under the impression that RC4 avoided this sort of thing!:-( Regards,Paul

Having read through other posts on the subject of new callsigns, I decided to add my own into RC for the VA that I fly for (Connect). Creating the sound files was easy enough, as I just used the QANTASJETCONNECT callsign already in RC, and cut them down for each voice. In actual fact it only took a few minutes. I made the necessary amendments to the c4.csv file as well as adding in the necessary textfiles to the controllerscripts and pilotscripts folder. So far so good.So then I loaded up RC4, and went to test my new callsign. It all started well with the CONNECT airline appearing with the correct callsign. I then hit the osund test button, and was delighted to hear the …

Why is it that even with proper STARs as part of the flight plan, RC won't let me fly one, not even on an empty airport with no other traffic around? Is that so in reality? Shouldn't there be an option to fly STAR as filed? Cheers Martin

I've just had to buy a new hard drive, as my other one ran out of space. Re-installed FS9 & RC4, but when I start RC4, the product code is 0. My main drive is not drive C, it's drive E. I don't know if this has anything to do with it.Any ideas???Thanks.

Hey guys,I know there is a way to fix this but I'm a bit nervous to change anything. China Airlines Cargo should be Cargo King. When I set that into RC4.1 and click OK for some reason it changes the callsign to "C" so I don't get Cargo King. Here is what I have in RC4CHINA KING cargo king China Cargo Airlines - China 0What should I change to fix??Thanks!!!!!

Some of you will know that i had problems while flying tut. 3. Well, the flight stopped with a loud buzzing sound & immediately executed a scan disk which threw up some file entries(can't remember details except the number 130) but the scan said it was deleting the following index entries; Ctrlr.wav 149827 & pilot.wav 149827 which i take to be Radar Contact files. To cut a long story short, i am having my 2 hard drives formatted although because of a program called Partition Magic (aka Boot magic) this is proving both hard & costly but very necessary.i can confirm i was using fsuip 3.553 but shall use 3.558 when i eventually get up & running again. At prese…

Hi. I want to be able to use RC4 when loading a saved "mid-way" flight (specifically, an approach into KDEN out of FL240). But I can't seem to figure out how to get RC4 to accept this. It seems there is no way to bypass the whole Clearance Deliery, Ground, Departure portion of the flight plan with RC4.I have searched all through the documentation, website and this forum, and I find no mention of this topic. Any related info. would be much appreciated.Thanks.SK

Could anybody explain or point me towards a resource about how SIDs and STARs are used and assigned in the real world? When do pilots know which STAR and approach they will be using? Does this information come mid-flight, or are STARs planned from the beginning? Definitive answeres for aspects of these procedures seem difficult to find. Thanks,Alden

Hello all,I'm one of the users with an AMD Athlon64 processor. I did add a message to the thread on stuttering which may not have been picked up. After installing 4.01 on my second HD (I went straight to that version not having had RC before), first impressions were that it cured the problem but after a couple of days the visual stuttering as the voices started became very bad. So, taking a hint from one or two others I uninstalled and installed version 4.0. The difference is amazing, I have no stuttering at all! The only compromise is the rather more robotic and "stitched together" voices.Of course it would be nice not to have to compromise this way and the point of this…

During my flight with Level-D's 767 (first with FSUIPC v3.5.5.3) from LDDU to LFPG as I was receiving radar vectors to LFPG's runway 26L FSUIPC's new multiline display froze so I ALT-TAB to Radar Contact and the following message was displayed:"fsuipc_wait, can

HiI'm going to buy another pc, which will be my main computer.Since I have a P4/3.0GHzHT old 478 socket, to buy the new 775 I want to make an upgrade of equipment going for 3.8GHzHT or 3.2/3.4GHz dual core.FS9/RC4 is my way of relax and I'm really interested in power, not in running FS with low framerates, so I would have to shutdown firewall and some other programs to run it as smoothly as possible.I'm waiting for FSX (4th trimester of 2006?) and expecting the RC5(?) too. Until then I'm becoming better and better with RC4.ThanksEduardo

Im trying to decide whether or not to run RC4.0 from my main FS9 computer or on my other PC via WideFS. They're both pretty strong machines. Now, if I recall, if run on WideFS, RC sounds comes from the WideFS computer, correct? Anyways, are there any real advantages to running RC4.0 directly from the FS9 based PC? Randy Jura, KPDX

Isn't the time before the "Watch your altitude" warning a bit too short compared to reality? I flew into EDDF this morning and was asked to descend to FL350. Less than 1 nm later I got warned to watch my altitude. Seems a bit harsh.
