Hi, After I installed RCV4, I click the rcv4.exe icon, and nothing comes out. Do anybody know why?? BTW, it doesn't crash with anything... just couldn't start... and I can't even register..I have ASV, but I just uninstalled it and try it again, it doesn't work as well.thanksben

Hi JDI have RC4 running on a client and on the main FS PC. Just before I started up RC on the main PC when the following message came up: "This Version of Radar Contact is Unregistered". Hi all, I am trying to get RC4 running via my laptop, which has the WideFS client ont it. Activesky is running normally via wideFS, so my network settings are not the problem. After installing RC4 on my WideFS machine, and trying to rebuild the database, as instructed in the manual, I never get the question"is this a wideFS configuration".I don't have FS 2004 installed on my laptop, only on my main FS computer. can this be the problem?Thanks for any help,Arjen Nederstigt

Why is it that we have to listen to two simutaneous ATIS announcments? One seems to be in the background while the other is the RC guys voices, which is the one that counts. It's a little disconcerting having to listen to both at the same time. Doesn't seem as if we need both.Jim

Hello, I'm new to RC4.1 having only used it a few flights, but every time I fly it seems only one runway is in use for arrivals and departures, no matter how many runways are available for parallel approaches/departures etc. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

I am missing calls occasionally for AI and I belive my calls too sometimes.I was just waiting at rwy holding point as requested with an a/c on final with co-pilot on radios. But after that I had no call to line up. I am having a problem getting a flight plan to import into RC.EDDF-EGNM always throws up a 'Runtime 62: Input Past End of File' error.Into and out of either airport to anywhere else (even EGNM-EDDF!) imports OK - I use FSBuild so I even tried plans created in FSNav and the default FS9 planner but RC still won't accept it. The plan loads OK into FS9, FSNav & an FMC.I've tried a scenery rebuild & all kinds of routing but no joy at all.Any help would be most appreciated - thx!- Chaz

As a new hearing impaired user of RC4, could I offer a suggestion for the text display in a future version?Can the text display at the same time the controller speaks? It now displays after the controller finishes speaking which doubles the delay to respond. It also would be nice to have text for the pilot's replies since I can't hear them as well. Otherwise I have to use my imagination.When I flew into Denver and left freq to get the Wx report it did not display in text. Was it suppose to display text?If I am doing something incorrectly in regards to the above, please advise. Thanks.Ken

I have had RC4 for a while now but have just had a chance to try it last night. I am trying the tutorial one and I am having random crashes of FS9 only, RC4 is still running. I get no error messages, FS9 just vanishes from exsistance. This can happen anywhere from 3 mins to 15 mins. It's happened on the ground and in the air not long after takeoff. I've tried this with 2 different default a/c, lear and 737 and one payware the DF Cit2. All with the same results. I'm not running any addons at the time of testing. I just tried a flight using just one of these a/c with out RC4 and no crash what so ever. Also both are running at normal priority. Sys specs are:Athlon 64 3200+Ep…

JDKWhen expanding the zip files from your site ie. rcv4_20.zip to the windwood file there is already a folder with that file, do we let it overwrite it. I'm using v 4.01. Thanks

Hi! I just completed a flight from KPDX to KPHX. It was a routine flight, no problems until it was time for RC4 to let me descend. I was on the BEARR4 STAR and thus arriving from the northwest of KSLC. I decided after hearing ATIS, I wanted to fly the full ILS into runway 16R, and as a result of my flight plan, I would be on the nearside of the field.The problem came with my descents. I was less than 7 miles from OGD, the IAF for ILS 16R, yet I hadn't been able to request the IAP menu yet. I was at 15,000 and needed to be around 9,000 at OGD. By the time I was able to get the IAP option and clearance to descend, I had to really push her down fast. This was a probl…

First question is when I open the Controller Info dialogue box after I loaded a fs2004 flightplan, I found that the initial default frequencies given by RC4 were not the same with that of the airport in my addon scenery,however,they were the same with that of the airport in fs2004 default scenery!! I wonder whether it is normal or not? Dose RC4's initial default frequency consider my Addon Scenery?(my Addon Scenery is set to have higher priority than defalt one in fs2004 scenery library setting) Second is when I unchecked the Ground frequency of some airport, the Tower frequency of it was unchecked automaticaly. Have RC4.1 installed without chatter files. Can I install these files now without re installing whole program? If so how.Thanks in advanceDL

Last night I flew QF400 from YMML-YSSY and found that ATC were consistently slow to assign further climb and descent clearances. I ended up levelling out 3 times in the climb and twice in the descent, whereas normally I'd get clearance in advance of reaching the assigned altitude.Is this a feature that is deliberately coded into RC4 to add a degree of real-world 'imperfection' or was it something else? My rates of climb and descent were within normal parameters for the 763.
