I've followed the instructions quite carefully for the sequencing of loading Fs9 and RC4.01. 1) Load FS9/select flight planner and load appropriate flight plan (built from FSBuild 2.2)...full screen cockpit appears...ASv6 weather loads automatically2) Hit ALT key and go to view tab...uncheck full screen mode...FS9 collapses to a 5x5 box in the middle of my desktop...Fs9 still running3) Select RC4...load the same flight plan...start RC4...it minimizes automatically to taskbar...FS9 automatically pauses in the same 5x5 box...RC4 dialogue box (loaded with the new FSUIPC 3.553)appears and is working fine4) I go to the view tab in FS9 and recheck full screen mode and FS9 scre…

I was flying a route into mexican airspace and remember in an earlier version of RC that when told to adjust altimeter settings the call was QNH but with RCV4 the call is in "US measurements". Has something changed with Mexican airspace, or do I have something not configured correctly?Thanks,

Had a strange thing happen on a flight yesterday. I have AI chatter enabled and I'm flying merrily along when I hear " November 8416 Clear of Traffic. Resume own navigation" I then hear the ai pilot respond. Fine. 15 seconds later, I hear the same message only this time a different pilot responds. Another 15 seconds - same thing. This continued for almost 9 minutes. I then received a transmission to ME from RC4 and responded. After that the 15 second loop was broken and it didn't happen again. Today, I was flying from Mazatlan (MMMZ) to Mexico City (MMMX) with RC4 w/ActiveSky downloading real-time weather. As I approached Mexico City, skys were overcast with scattered clouds at 2500 with rain in the area. Initially, Approach assigned me 23L which has an ILS (Great, 'cuz I can't see a thing!) but then just as I am about turn turn downwind, I get assigned 23R. 23R doesn't have an instrument approach. Why would ATC/RC4 give me this runway?Bob

Hi there - I am not sure whom I shold direct this question to, so here it is:My friend and myself enjoy flying using the Multiplayer feature of MSFS. To be correct, we actually use FSNet (aka 'Copilot') by Gates.Both of us, when flying solo, enjoy RC and definately don't want to fly without it anymore. So, once hooked up in a multiplayer session Radar Contact doesn't seem to get syncronized, therefore RC "sees" us as two seperate planes. Is there a way to include RC in a FSNet session? Is there a way to combine these two products? Right now, the only thing we can do is that one (usually the pilot non flying) is running RC and repeats the RC transmissions to the pilot…

Hello,Got a quick question..whenever I'm final and this is especially if i declare a visual approach, but has happened with regular vectors as well..and there is an AI plane landing ahead of me..next thing i know it hes doing some type of missed approach but there is proper spacing and everything..its like hes getting vectored out of my way but doesnt need to. Is there no way that i can land behind AI so i'll hear like "UAL 497 you're number 2 cleared to land"? or will the AI always get vectored out of my way even if they dont need to?Regards,Stephen

Hi Guys,Having just installed Ultimate Traffic I loaded up a transatlantic flight from JFK to Paris CDG.I ended up joining the end of a 15 aircraft queue for 4L. I was told to monitor tower, which I did.The thing I found odd was that I didn't hear any of the communications between the departing AI ahead of me. Then when I was still number 4 for departure I was told to line up and wait.This is not the first time I've suspected that RC4 isn't seeing AI, as I've previously been cleared to line up as another aircraft was doing the same, and also have been cleared to land only to see a 747 lining up for takeoff.Presumably I have an incorrect setting somewhere but I'm unsure wh…

Hi RC team and advance user ....I am a new user of RCV4 update to v4.01I have this trouble with RCV4.01.When I test pilot voice under radar contact option with pilot's page.And when I press some pilots' voice to test , such as "Mike Turano v4" , then this runtime error messenger appear --Run-time error '6':radarcontact.rcv4module.pilot_ack-- then radar contact close immediately. How can I find out this problem.Thanks.

I was flying yesterday using Rcv4.01 and heard Cleveland Center call "foxtrot lima echo x-ray juliette echo tango" who promptly answered in kind. I wondered why such a call sign was used and did a little research. Two of the entries in my Ultimate GA Lear 40 aircraft.txt file were listed as 'atc_airline=FLEXJET'. Now, Flexjet is in the sound packages and scripts so I was still baffled. The only thing I could find was the entry 'atc_flight_number=0'. Would that make the Controller call our the airline name phonetically? I changed the flight numbers to 605 and 606 but won't know if they're used until I hear them again. Just wondering.

How radar contact choose the runway? Because in some airports, the runway in use is not the same as the atc of FS9. I had an experience in LIRN where there is only one runway 6 and 24, the wind was 040/12 and rc4 says to land on the runway 24!! the AI aircraft taking off from the runway 6 (the opposite) why? At LIRN the runway 24 has an ils but not the runway 6 is for that he chooses the runway 24?Thanks

I am new to RC. Have only used it once. I just installed the update 4.01In my start menu, all programs, I now have an entry for starting either version 4 or version 4.01. Is this supposed to be this way?When you launch version 4.01, what is the exact version # it should say at the top of the window?Thanks Al

Why does rc4 approach at YSSY send me to Runway 07 for landing when both fs9 atc and sydney weather have 34L or 34R in use? I use fs9atc (no text,low volume) as background chatter.

I am a new RCV4 user and need some very basic help.I have RCV4 installed on a laptop which is networked into my FS9 PC via WideFS and FSUIPC. The link seems to be happening OK. I am flying the LD767.I start RCV4 and load in the first tutorial(KDSM to KORD). The first screen gives me the choice between CD and the ATIS briefing. When flying from EGPH on Runway 24, it is necessary to enter 24 from runway 12 in order to depart, there is no taxiway direct to 24. As soon as you enter 24 in order to turn around and line up you receive the message " Brake that aircraft". This means that you can expect to receive the wrath of you know who at the end of the flight, can this be avoided please.

Hi,I'm currently trying to get used to 'real' SIDs (or DPs) and STARs.After planning a flight with DP including altitude restrictions for the first five waypoints (4000 ft in this case), I was surprised to hear my first clearance to 7000 ft, and the next to FL 150 while I was still in the 'restricted area'.So what did I get wrong here - do controllers actually give another altitude and expect pilots to fly according to DP anyway, does RC4 not honor the restrictions in the flight plan, or what else ? I tried to find clues in the manual and in this forum, but failed to locate a specific answer ...I use FSNav 4.70 for planning, and run RC 4.01.
