Hello allAfter having problems with long delays before ATC would speak in 4.1 and micro stutters with ADVdisplay in the VC, i am now free of both thanks to the new Fuipc window and a defrag with O+O defrag using the defrag by Name method.RC4.1 now responds straight away and the speech is so smoothPeter dowson has made a huge difference with the new display window as far as using RC4.1 in the VC is concerned.

Dear support,After exporting my flight plan from FSB i got strange drifting problem from the FS9 database, in praticly the FSB FP is drifted from the FS9 VOR,AIRWAY,FIX.I use RC4 and I get busted because on non following the FP importend in RC4.This is the first time it append to me as i never got any problem.Hope someone can give me some suggestion.:(

Greetings!I've installed RC v4.01 on my computer...here's my specs..Intel Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz with HT (Hyper-thread)1GB RAM256 MB nVidia G-Force FX video cardWin XP Home SP2FS9.1Okay...here's the problem. I try to rebuild the Scenery Database using the "Rebuild Scenery DB" button. I wanted to do this, because I'm usure whether I have installed any new scenery recently. When I try to rebuild, I get the error message "Run-time error '5': RadarContact.rcv4module.RunShell"...what does this mean, and how can I overcome this problem? Also...when I'm modifying the AFCAD's (to..for instance permanently change tower freq etc), do I need to rebuild the scenery DB? I've read the manua…

I love this program but I had to go back to 4.0 so the stutterin/pausing would go away. I have tried the things suggested in other posts but was wondering if someone had success in stopping the pausing that happens just before someone speaks?Seems funny to me that 4.0 works without stuttering and the update stutters. Oh well just checking and like I said I love flying with Radar Contact!ThanksDarcy Coutts

I hope I haven't missed the info for this in the tutorials :/I normaly use SIDs to depart and have RC4 set on Departure with Altitude Restrictions. When I engage VNAV the FMC will limit my altitude at certain waypoints however, I get clearance from ATC to higher altitudes so I am obliged to turn off VNAV and set the autopilot climb rate.For example, climbing out of EHAM the first waypoint is meant to be at FL060 and my FMC duly levels me out at this altitude. However, ATC has already cleared me to FL150.What would be the real world procedure here and what should I do?Many Thanks,Dan Parkin

Gentlemen:What are the allowed limits in nm from the course line for weather deviations in this here game anyway???Since we don't have "Terrain Deviations" I tried the following:Some ATC guy got his panties all scrunched up because I asked for a "weather deviation" over Alaska's Wrangell Saint Elias Wilderness Area. Running FS98/FSNav in RadarV4/AdvDiaplay 2.14/FSUIPC 3.53. Fs98 will only allow export to Radar, in old adventure format APL.Need to be able to save in "pln" format to Radarv4. I've searched, but haven't found a solution that works for me.I love RC4- never fly without it. But that's lead to a frustrating problem, in that I can only complete 2 flights in 3 or so- on the rest, FS9 crashes either when I contact approach, when I turn to final, or when I contact ground after landing. Never before that point.It doesn't matter where I fly or what I fly. It's happened with add on scenery, it's happened with default scenery, and with everything from the default Baron to the PMDG 400F. With chatter, without, with ActiveSky, without. Been using the option to play the live ATC in the background, which I assume is a collection of WAV files recorded from actual ATC calls.I am almost to the point where I can't listen to them anymore. Here's a suggestion for future versions: Don't include (record) anything out of the ordinary. I have found I am much more likely to remember ATC calls that are out of the ordinary - such as the case when the ATC ground controller has a convo with a pilot about pilot training with the "big dog" at such-and-such airport. Hi,I am a new user.I just installed the RC CD Version 4.0Got my "key" and it loaded up OK.The "ABOUT" button window said it was Version 4.0.3737I next down loaded Version 4.01 update.I ran the rcv401update.exe and it went OK as far as I could tell.The update screen mentioned requesting a "key" again.When I started RC it opened up without the request "key" screen.Is this correct? Hi guys,Since installing RC I have perpetually found that it won't instruct the AI to hold short when I've been cleared to land, and it will instruct me to line up when other AI is on short final. I also hear no radio communication between tower and the traffic at the hold short point. In short, RC APPEARS to not be handling the AI aircraft.I'm also finding that RC will freeze on me when I try to create a log file so in effect that avenue is currently not available to me for getting the problem analysed. Hello all -I'm a new user and I must say that things haven't got off to a smooth start. I read here that a replacement for ADVdisp is available, but I don't quite see where you go to download it at the Peter Dowson website. I see where it is described under "interim versions", but not how to get it. Is it a fact that it IS available to those who have the unregistered version of FSUIPC?And it sounds like v4.01 is a major update from 4.0, which is what I got on the CD. But I don't see where you get this either. I have just installed RC4 after getting my registration key, but every time I go to start RC4 it trys to start FS Flight Keeper at the very begining ( I all ready have flight keeper installed well before insatlling RC4 ) It trys to look for a file Flight Keeper.MSI ??After cancelling several times,RC4 eventually starts up, whats going on here ??

Several times during my recent flights I have heard ATC call aircraft with somewhat strange callsigns. These call signs are always a random letter followed by four numbers; e.g., T4887, B3828, etc. I have searched my flightplan.txt files and nowhere are these call signs found. I'm flying in the US BTW so most non-airline callsigns would be prefaced with a November. I'm pretty sure that all of my callsigns are up to date in my aircraft.cfg files also. So, where do these random call signs come from anyway?

I wanted to recreate an Austrian Arrows flight from Innsbruck to Vienna, but I couldn't find an entry in RC for Austrian Arrows so I made do with the callsign "Austrian". However, en route I heard multiple aircraft using the callsign "Tyrolean" which is the correct one for Austrian Arrows / Tyrolean. However, I can't find any way of using "Tyrolean" as my callsign. Is it possible to do this?Thanks for any replies.

First of all RC 4.01 is a terrific product and affords so much more realism to the flight sim environment.However, is it possible to apply EV to RC4 by modifying the code a bit? is it xml? Not sure what EV does to default FS9 but it works...the difference in cadence between default FS9 and FS9 with EV is significant...since RC4.01 is my fist experience with the product I can't comment on how much the voices have been sped up from previous versions. A bit of a nit, why are the sliders maxed out (faster voices) when full left?...seems backwards to me (unless from the UK, etc. : )If there were some way to marry up the speed (wave compression) of EV to the flexibility and re…

What controls the cruise altitude of ai traffic. When cruising at 310 or 350 eastbound (RVSM) I constantly get traffic calls about westbound traffic at my altitude. I have also had several head on near mid air collisiions. Is RC setting their altitudes or another program. I also get a lot of resolution advisories from the TCAS. It is rare that I get more than one RA per year in real life. I get them all the time in FS.Third I though I read that RC was supposed to keep traffic away from me. I have had several conflicts with other traffic including an unintended formation approach into Cleveland.

I've done an out and return flight (Birmingham, UK EGBB to Amsterdam Schipol EHAM) and on each leg the same thing happened. After flying at cruise on nearing the destination I was instructed by the centre to descend through various levels and the last one given by the centre was 12000 feet.I use ActiveSky and it was windy and turbulent and my altitude was varying by +/- 20 feet at times. The centre controller kept telling me to maintain altitude of FL120, even when the altitude was rock steady. Hi all,Just started using RC4 and love it! Nice job to the RC crew!Question: I was on final, about 10 out, at KRNO and noticed an AI Dash 8 about 6 miles ahead of me for the same rwy. I figured he would be sent around so I continued with the app. Once I got the "CTL", I noticed that the AI plane was still on app. The Ai a/c continued his landing and I had to go around or hit him. No warning or mention of the AI plane from RC.Did I miss something in the setup? I have had a couple of other AI close calls in mid air. This may have been raised before, if so I apologise, but I can still hear FS ATC in the background talking to the AI a/craft, usually just before RC controllers talk to the same a/craft. Is this normal or have I set something wrong?Iain
