    Hi to everybody,a litte question only. I use rcv4.1 and fspassenger always together. During a flight I had a flame out of one engine (flying a Fokker 70), decleared an emergency, changed the squawk to 7700 (as requested in fspassenger) but "radar contact" wanted me to switch back to the squawk issused at beginning of the flight. The whole flight back to the starting airport, untill I landed. And there were no other announcments, only the request to switch back to the old squawk.What was my mistake?     Hi all,Today I had my busiest flight under RC4, BA553 LIRF-EGLL in the LDS763. It was all a bit of a disaster in the end. Read on...Points of note / concern.-Was at the holding point for runway 34L, number 2 behind a Beechcraft Baron just lining up and with a 747 on short finals. At that point I was ordered to line up and wait. Would the lining up traffic and the 747 on short finals not be enough to trigger a hold short command?-Enroute traffic advisories had incorrect 'o clock' references. For example a 737 received an advisory about me, saying I was at his 12 o clock, 4 miles. Thing was, I was flying alongside and slightly behind him same alt/hdg/spd, putting me in his …

    Hello,Flew a short flight last night in rather rough weather. I had to level off and my vertical speed indicater was going up and down due to the wind but I was perfectly able to keep altitude within 20 feet up or down. But I was getting busted by ATC for not keeping my altitude (and yes, I had the correct QNH setting). Has this something to do with the vertical speed going up or down and if so what can I do to prevent this? (my altitude deviation is set to the default 300 feet)Kind regards,Huppel

    I'm sure that some of you have noted that if you try to run an nVidia card at AA 8xS, you get a black screen from the top of the AdvDisp box to the bottom of your screen. One solution is to run at AA 4x.Another solution I have found is to move the AdvDisp undocked box to a second monitor. You can then run FS9 at AA 8xS. So far, I have not found any problems doing this on my system and I really like the way "spot plane," for example, looks at AA 8xS.

    Hi, First, I'd like to say that I'm extremely pleased with RC4. It's a great program that adds alot to the dimension of Fs2004.I have a few flights under my belt. All so far have been fairly good except for the one I did last night in a Mooney Bravo. I checked the prop setting etc, etc. All was good until I was cleared for the ILS 24L in CYUL.Granted, the Bravo is a fast aircraft. However, it can't keep up with a CRJ on approach. Yet, RC4 cleared me to the ILS and had a Ultimate Traffic CRJ descend 500' in front of me even after I was on the glide slope... he even told me that a CRJ was less then a mile at my 12 O'Clock!     I have been using RC4 a lot over the last few weeks since getting it, it has renewed my passion for sure. I have a small question and a possible suggestion for an enhancement...When I run it I someetimes have small issues where one or more keys (usually just one) stop working. It is usually either the 2 or the 7 key that stops. If I stop Rc and restart it, all is well. Sometimes... the problem re-occurs during flight, but not that often.My setup is the PMDG737, RC4 in a Widefs setup, FS Live Cockpit on another system and weather in another machine.     Since loading on RC4 my AI traffic (airborne) has dissapeared. I get lots of AI on the ground but none in the sky and that is over London which is always busy.I have my settings up to 100% in FS and still no chatter, although the AI chatter is enabled in RC4.Also I have just tried flying a route without having the pilot autoreply, and I do not hear some commands from the ATC, even though I get the 7 Agnowledge prompt appear in the ADVDisplay.Can anyone help please.Drayton

    Hi,I am a new Radar Contact user, and enjoying the product very much. I have a question regarding AI chatter.Am i meant to hear callsigns within the AI chatter? In all my flights to-date I hear aircraft registrations (i.e G-ACGG) but no callsigns. Is this the way is works or do I have an issue?Any thoughts appreciated.Regards,Luis

    Hi. I'm wondering if someone can give me the whole story on this. I understand RC does not direct traffic on the ground; that's fine. But once it's in the air, does it handle getting the traffic to its destination? With step climbs, hand-offs and descents? Or does it merely direct traffic out of your way? Thanks!

    I am sure I have seen this before, so I apologise if my searches have missed something.Shortly after take-off I get a series of messages:- 'Unable to save .rcd files', followed by Run-time error 55. RC4 shuts down and that's it. RC4 has alway worked fine so I don't understand why this has started to happen now?Any pointers would be appreciated.

    I've searched a lot on the forum, but since now I haven't found what I wanted.I fly my own company created by myself, so no callsign are displayed in the list (obviously). Using EditVoicepack I've made my own callsign (before using RC4) and it work wery well, I'm very proud of it!!There is a way to cusotmize in RC4 the callsign? Please don't tell me no, I am able to "play" with .wav files... maybe changing another callsig (i.e. Aerosur that I don't use at all) and with a copy-paste play is possible to make the callsign... or there will be an application more user-friendly (like editvoicepack) to make these "corrections" more simply?     Hi,I was flying one of the tutorials and had to save the flight and shut down FS9. When I resumed the flight I had a problem with my desktop. Here is the sequence of events.- Start FS9 by selecting the saved flight (in full screen mode).- Use Alt-Tab to get back to the desktop.- Start RC 4.01 and load the previously saved RCD.- The RCD loads and then RC minimizes itself.- When I click on the FS9 icon in the desktop task-bar, the icon is highlighted but FS( does not reappear. - The only way that I could get back to FS9 was to run the Task Manager and "Switch To" FS9.This does not happen when I am loading a PLN.     Hi,It has happenend a few times when flying on the FMC that RC4 misses a waypoint when I pass it.Instead of turning back, would it be possible to have an extra menu-item 'Skip Current Waypoint' so a pilot can continue to fly?Or alternatively a setting in the 'General' section to set/control the pass-by distance of a waypoint.

    Just purchased and updated to RC4 and so I am impressed with everything. I do have one question. I was on a takeoff roll when an aircraft crossed my runway about 200 yards in front of me. There was no warning or interaction from RC4. I also , on another occasion was taxiing to a runway when another airliner crossed in front of me--again, no warning from RC4 but the default ATC told me to hold.Is this normal?Thanks for your assistanceRoger Hollands

    When I select an airline (eg KLM) the callsign shown is for the airline listed above(eg kivalliq). I also notice that I have 2 listings foe "beechcraft" #1 callsign=batonrouge,#2 callsign=bearskin. Similarly there are 2 entries for "kingair" #1=khalifa air,#2=k. How can I rectify this?

    Would it be possible to insert the airport name in the approach controller stage, where the name is available? e g "Birmingham approach...." I think it would sound much more friendly if the destination approach were to identify himself with the airport name. Also it would be comforting to be assured you were tuned in to the right approach controller when there are several airports in close proximity.I don't know what happens in real life. Mine is just a suggestion for a future update if it reflects TRW.Thanks for a great productDon Hunt

    I've used RC4 now for a week. Done all the Tutorials, which were terrific!The ATC is much more realistic, and flying the Big Birds on commercial routes is much more satisfying.I have used it with the Cessnas, The Default 737 and the PMDG 737.Note: The save flight feature does not work with the PMDG 737 - this is a problem with PMDG not with RC4. Only about 80% of the settings are saved. PMDG says too bad!Thanks for a Great Product.Jack Laschenski
