For some reason RC has been giving some bad ILS vectors. SometimesI,m so far out I don't pick up the Loc and other times I am kept toohigh to pick up the GS. This has happened at KBOS,KSLC,KLAX,KJFK. ATJFK I was on base at 9000 and then given intercept vectors and toldto descend to 3000. This seems happen on a regular basis lately. I have to blow the approach and ask for IAP. I.m trying to remember exactly when this started and I think it is more since I went FSUIPC3.60. I have downloaded the 3.615 tonight but have not had a chanceto try it. All these flight are with LDS 767.

The F4.csv file doesn't list an ATIS, clearance, tower, or ground frequency (fields below cut and paste). KDNN Dalton Mun 0 120.25 0 0 122.7 0 125.1 125.1However, when I start a flight plan from KDNN, the controller frequencies in RC4 include an ATIS, clearance, ground, and tower, with frequencies that don't match any real life frequencies for that airport. I can workaround this by unchecking the incorrect frequencies in RC, but why does this occur and is there a proper fix? Thanks.

Ok, i bought rc4 some time ago, got a key, all worked fine.Yesterday i formatted my pc, reinstalled fs9 and all my addons including rc4. Requested a new product key. Received it 20 hours or so later, when i enter it into rc4, after a few seconds delay, rc4 closes. When i start it again, it asks for the key again. Now i have tried to contact the help email (around 6-7 hours ago) with no reply, so im taking my chances that the support on here will be a little quicker......................

Hi,First off I'd like to thank everybody who worked on RC for their hard work, it's changed my experience forever, only used it on three flights so far and already decided I can't fly without it.A small suggestion, would it be possible in a future update to do the following?1/ enable Com.2 support (not as big a deal as I thought it might be) as then I could listen to ATIS w/out leaving frequency.2/ show distance and approximate heading to the ramp/gate whatever? This would be a cool feature as I don't always know exactly where on the airport my gate is unless I used FSNav to select it and have a printout diagram handy. Not so bad at say Livermore KLVK but somewhere like …

Hi EverybodyI am new to Radar Contact.First impressions are wow!!!, what a relief to get away from the Default ATC in FS9(FS2004)However I am experiencing some problems installing the 4.01 Update and wondered if anyone could help me ?After installing the RC4 Disc to the default directory in C:/ Program Files I get a folder in the Start Menu containing a Launch Radar Contact 4 Icon, and everything runs fine. However when I install the 4.01 Update it adds a Radar Contact 4.01 Icon to that same Start Menu Folder containing the Radar Contact 4 Icon.Is this OK so far ?Now when I start FS9 and Radar Contact 4.01 and press any key to either get Weather or Clearance the reply seem…

Had my first commanded 'go around' yesterday with RC. I was at about 500 ft going into Richmond, VA in the Coolsky MD80 when I got the command. Not sure why it happened as there was no other traffic at the time. Anyway, it taught me another lesson: make sure you have plenty of fuel as I had to do an "in flight refueling" ;-) in order to complete the flight. RC's flight critique said I did an excellent job, but still a mystery why I had the go around. Mike

From the bottom of my heart. I expected to be flying with RC4 tomorrow night, on receipt of my key which at best I thought would come too late. It came, within moments of my submitting the request. I have 2 flights to do tonight in my lil ol' B1900, which can now be flown with RC. So again, whoever is responsible for sending keys out, thanks sooooo much.I'm off to fly now.

I have a problem with one or two of my add-on airports. Specifically, Gary Summons' Heathrow Pro.As the scenery is modelled on Heathrow itself, some of the hold short points are a bit further back from where they normally are at default airfields. Sometimes I have a problem with RC not being able to see me holding short, unless I go through the hold point and approach the runway. The AFCAD looks to have the hold points in the right place, and the AI aircraft can function from it fine (although I understand that on the ground you just mimick the commands that the default MS ATC is giving.)Any hints?

Hi AllThis has now happened on two flights in a row---I start out from EGLL going to KSFO--I make a flight plan in FSNav---export it to 2004 to RC to PMDG ---I open flight tracker---I open RC and load the plan--I also open the flight plan in the 747 fmc---the flight goes along normally and then out in the middle of the Atlantic the controllers start to vector me back on coures---I see myself dead on course as it relates to the FSNav plan and the fmc--what is the problem---I have not had this sort of problem in a long time using RCCheers and thanks for any help

Hello,Before asking my question I would like to say how great I think this programme is. My issue is a minor one, I cannot see that it has been discussed in the forum. If it has appologies.I use a voice recognition programme with RC4. It works very well and keeps my hands free to fly the aircraft. Occasionally, the keystrokes assigned to various actions change, this renders the voice recognition unusable at worst and unreliable at best. To explain: The key stroke for Push Back and Engine Start is normally 5, but sometimes it is 2, others also vary. This does not happen all the time and only happens during the ground phase, but when it does it appears to happen in fits and…

Hypothetical: Airport ABC has a single, towered East-West runway and is at sea level. Weather is 5 miles vis and overcast at 3000ft. You are approaching from the south. Approach descends you to 10000 and soon informs you to expect vectors to rwy 9. You request and are cleared for the full GPS. The chart shows that the IAF is a hold at 2000ft at a fix 10 miles out on the extended runway centerline. It also shows the MDA 25 miles of the airport is 5000' given your direction. Question: When you were granted the GPS clearance, responsibility for clearance over terrain is yours, correct?Question: AS I understand it, the MDA permits you to descend confidently to 5000 …

Something has changed in my Rc4 as, initially, I could save partly flown flights using the Ctl-Shift-; and recover them OK using the "Load Previously Saved RCDs" button. However, whilst the one saved in Flight Sim loads fine when I go into Rc4 and try to load it I get an immediate CTD - MS report window shows the cause as something like "ai.dll". I then revert to the last Rc4 autosave entry and it loads OK, Stange. Any ideas and thanks in anticipation.:-(

When flying from EGLL to LFPG on Auto with the co-pilot in command, descending towards LFPG instructed to descend to 120. Passing through 14600, asked to contact Paris Control, did so co-pilot stated- Speedbird 333 with you at 120. Reply Roger. If we are at 14600 why state that we are at 120, is this a glitch or is it correct.x(

Hi all,- RC4 give departure instructions that vary according to your distance from the first waypoint.- RC4 normally give vectors for arrival which are different from the star in the cleared flight plan.Though there is an option to choose IAP so that you can fly the cleared star.I wonder how these procedures are handled in real life and also how AVSIM/IVAO controllers deal with sid/star procedures when flying online.Frans

Hi,I have a new install of V4.0 and have downloaded the 4.1 update on running the setup for this new version and pointing it to my RCV4 directory it proceeds to install the updated files. Looking at the RCV4 directory after the installation application 'RCV4 Radar Contact v4.0'has changed to 'RCV4 Radar Contact V4.01'However when launching the application and from the user interface still displays as version 4.0.3737 is there another way to confirm that I have the latest version installed? Feel as if I'm missing something very obvious here. Sorry for the post.Regards,David

I understand from the manual that the CP won't control speed, but what happens if I have a plane with an IAS/Mach hold function, and change the speed in the A/T setting, will the CP automatically hand the plane back over to me? Or will he/she still continue to fly it?And one more question if I may, as I don't yet have the program:If I receive an emergency that's not covered, what happens then? Ie an engine fire or depressurisation, or my gear is jammed?

Tonight I set up a flight in the LD767 using RCv4 and AS6. The flight plan was from KIAH to KSAT. Lot of traffic to 15L and I waited my turn. Finally was told to taxi into position and hold. Before I could take off, RC landed a plane right on top of me and there was a collision. I don't think I did anything wrong -- what happened?By the way my traffic density setting was 67%RegardsDave

I prepared a flight plan from KPVD to CYQB and loaded it in FS2004 and in RC. RC does not show KPVD as being part of the plan, and the FSUIPC dialog box shows frequency info for CYQB, even though I'm sitting parked at PVD. I am running FlightZone Rhode Island and have not made any changes to it or RC. I ran "Rebuild Scenery DB" just in case, but to no avail. Attached are pix, a debug, and the origianl flight plan. Please let me know if this is a config issue. I can tell you I've never seen this before.
