Hi.I have been desperatly trying to get STARs to work in RCv4 but so far have failed to fly a single one! :( Today I tried a short hop from EGPH to my home airport EGNX. Routefinder came up with this filght plane which I put into FSBuild and then into RCv4: EGPH SID DCS UN57 POL STAR EGNX.The SID worked fine. I have looked at other posts on this forum and they say that you don't need to enter the STAR in FSBuild just the start point, in this case POL then direct to EGNX. I did this. Hi AllFirst of all,this is a great program.However...ive got this weird problem,as you all know,in order to start up RC you need to make ur FS screen small hitting the keys; alt+Enter simultaniously.all goes well here........but as soon as i go back to the FS screen to make it full........it doesnt do anything,instead of that it appeares that something is loading,but it takes to long.(like 5 mins)Isnt there a way around this? i mean that you dont have to go outside FS in order to start RC.right now i only use RC in the small screen,but we all like to have full screen.I hope someone can help me with thisgreetz all.

Been running the program fine until today when then this error came up on starting: "Runtime error 62 - Radar Contact rc4module - read_callsigns". A search here found a thread suggesting deleting then downloading c4 from the server. Did this. Despite the new copy, the error persists. Help! Thanks

Hi all,Quite new to rc4,but almost everything seems to be going fine.Just having the one problem and that is on arrival at the destination airport I only have a 50/50 chance of being allocated the same runway as Ai traffic.Often have aircraft taking-off towards me on touchdown. Have the latest fsuipc 3.617 (registered) and I am running on a wide fs setup. Have set the Tcas range from 40 to 0.Tried using with and without Ai smooth.Have landed at airports with single and multiple runwaysFor weather using Fsmeteo with pre-downloaded weather. Upon arrival at the destination airport "ground" says taxi to ramp or gate. Should it not say where????, ie gate number.

I reinstalled rc4 and on top 4.01, I experienced the stutters and uninstalled the update. After wards a message came up:C:system volume information_restore{a registry code follows}rp30rcv3.dat not found cannot continue, I uninstalled the whole package then, an reinstalled it and still got the same message. Any ideas whats wrong?Thanks, Kurt

RC4 was working fine, now all of a sudden it is asking for a key #. I put it the original I got several months ago but it does not seem to work any longer??? I upgraded a few weeks ago to 4.1 and it went smooth. My FS9 ATC is no longer working also????Can anyone help me out?

I've suddenly started to have a peculiar problem. This has happened on the last four flights all in Europe but to differing destinations. Just after I leave frequency for wx - so approx 50 nms out and at an alt. of around 13000ft I receive an instruction to fly a heading which is about 90 degs from my filed route. I comply and wait for a further instruction - which never comes. I do get calls to contact other Controllers, but no instruction to change either heading or alt.I've not so far as I know transgressed any rules and I'm flying with the correct Eu trans alts.Previously all has worked fine - I've no idea why this has cropped up, I've made no changes to RC or to FS…

Love RCV4. Wish I could get flight saves to work consistently.Using FS2002 and have reinstalled latest FSUIPCv3.53 and Autosave.All is well and Autosave always captures the .FLT, .WX and .RCD in the mylfights folder just fine. When saving a flight using the ; key or the CTL+SHIFT+; the .FLT and .WX files are always saved in FS2002/flights/myflights(with or without my file naming respectively) but the .rcd is nowhere to be found. On rare occasions, using just the ; key all three files will be saved with the file name I create. This success only happened on two of the dozens of times I've tried. I enter my Flight Level as normal eg 35000 and all is well until I suddenly start getting chastised for busting my altitude. This cannot be so because everything is spot-on. I looked to see that I had entered the correct info and found that it showed 35010. This has repeated every flight. Any thoughts on this, please?Rob

I'm a bit confused. I have just installed and started to use RC4. I tried to run the "Rebuild Scenery DB", get asked the question about WideFS, answer NO, and then it tells me it can't find the Makerwys file. And it's right because I can't either. My question is, should I be running this rebuild? If so, where can I get the file.Also, I can't find the file AdvDisp. That should be in my FS9 directory, correct? I know I can get it from Peter's website, but was curious as to why it appears these files are missing.This is a great program and trying to get back up to speed after not flying for the past two years. Last night, on a flight from SLC to LAS (Salt Lake City to Las Vegas), I had an interesting problem while being handed from one controller to another.I had just executed a go-around, and the tower handed me back to approach control, as expected, after I reported the missed approach. Approach gave me some instructions, asked for my intentions, and I asked for vectors. He then handed me off to another approach frequency. Something I learned this weekend that lets me duplicate the way the original FS9 ATC window works exactly with the new RCv4/FSCUIPC transparent window.First, using a registered version of FSUIPC on the "Buttons & Keys" tab, assign the original ATC menu keys to something different, such as Ctrl+Shft+1 for the menu item "ATC menu 1". Repeat for each of the other original FS ATC menu keys. Basically, this moves all the original ATC keys, 1 through 0 out of the way.Then in RCv4 Keys window, set each numeric menu key to the original keys 1 through 0 (i.e., no "Ctrl" or "Shft" boxes checked for each of the RCv4 numeric menu keys).Now, here's the new part, for me at least,…

Ok, for some reason when I 'hide' or close the FSUIPC window it keeps poping up after some seconds or minutes. Also, the 'close' keyboard shortcut doesn't work. I need to close it pressing the X in the FSUIPC window, this is annoying.The other question is: Can I DISABLE the Checkpoint/Distance/Bearing caption? I do have a legs page on the FMC with that info, so i was wondering if I can disable to save some real state.

OK, I seem to have come across some kind of anomoly with a particular key-sequence only while RCv4 is running. For a long time now, I have always programmed Ctrl+Shft+H to increment my MCP (autopilot) Speed variable in the PMDG Keys menu. When ever I start any PMDG aircraft, this key sequence works fine from both the keyboard and via a programmed TQ button via FSUIPC. FWIW, Ctrl+Shft+H is not listed at all in my FS9 key assignemnts either, as designed. When I try to run the rcv4.exe as instructed on the back of the CD box, I get a message saying "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005)". Is this a defective CD?

Hi, I'm new to RC4 and I am trying to use it with FSPassengers.All is well until I try to input Nav1 or Altitude etc using FSP sound inputs. I read somewhere to change to keyboard assignments for numbers 1-5 the Ctrl/Shift which works fine for 1-5 but what about numbers 0, and 6-9? For example A19000 to set altitude at 19000 just does not work. Any help would well appreciated

I have been trying ever since I received my RC4 disk, to do a flight from LIRF (Rome) to EGLL (Heathrow-London).All goes well at Heathrow until I try to turn off the RWY 27R onto the taxiway, then the screen goes black and I get the message "MS Flightsim has encountered a problem and will close now".I thought it might have been the 4.0.1 update so I uninstalled this and it still happened. I uninstalled all my addon scenery back to default and it still happened. I uninstalled RC4 and alls well again, landing and taxying just fine. After starting FS9 and RC4.01, the FSUIPC window displays the opening two options as expected: 1-CLR byCD 2-Wx Brf. When entering the keystroke to access either one of these, the contents of FSUIPC Display blink, there is for a very short moment the "standby" message, and then it goes back to the original two choices, with no tuning or contact made.This problem is not aircraft specific. Everything is enabled appropriately, and until recently, the program has been working fine. I did install FSCommander. Has anyone experienced this, and found a solution? Hello:I was leaving EDDF for KJFK. I imported a plan from from MSFS 2004 (made with FSBuild). I checked to make sure the altitude was correct in the controller section as 310.I was to to climb to 11,000. Upon reaching 11,000 I was told that I busted my assigned altitude. I hit B to make sure the altimeter was set correctly which it was.What did I do wrong.BTW, PMDG 747TIA*** EDIT ***Nevermind, should have searched first. Found the answer.
