I've semi-recently got my PPL and realized that some of the names of the facilities here are different than what most people would think. Here at PHNL, you still have Honolulu Clearance, Ground, and Tower, but outside of that, it's all HCF (ie. HCF Departure, HCF Approach, just HCF everywhere in between.) During a tour of the center here, it turns out the reasoning is that they had to change the name of the center to Honolulu Control Facility when they moved from Diamond Head to the airport. That way apparently, the entire facility could stay together and the funding wouldn't have to be split. The only exception I've noted is Maui Approach and Hilo Approach and Depart…

HIWhen I last looked into getting RC I enquired about the availability of callsigns (I suspected rightly that numerous were missing) and about a method to add/edit them (something like EditVoicePack for the default ATC). At the time, I found the list too short, missing many of the callsigns I use in AI traffic of flying myself.Hwoever, that was two or three years ago. In the meantime, things have changed. So what is the current list of callsigns? Is there a method to add callsigns in case there is one missing?I read through what RC can do, and I am VERY VERY tempted to install it for my FS9. Hello!Recently, I lost the ability to re-establish unified control of the throttles on my 747-400M. I finally traced the problem to Radar Contact, which was monopolizing the numeric keys on my keyboard. Such behavior prevents me from doing the E + 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 dance that becomes necessary when MSFS decides you don't need linked throttle control in a multi-jet engine, and you need to correct Microsquish thinking by relinking said throttles.Anyhoo, I discovered...by doing a forum search (gasp!)....that you can remap your RC keys away from the numeric keypad by using Shift or Control, or even assigning completely different keys. I am considering purchasing Radar Contact V4.3 (or whatever the latest version is). However, I understand that V5 is coming out soon supposedly. Is this new version going to be a free update for people who already own Radar Contact? Or, we current owners have to buy the latest version? If they do have to purchase, will there be a discount for current owners? Obviously, if the V5 release is imminent, and current owners would have to purchase it at full price, I would just wait on the latest version to be released before buying.Sorry if this has already been asked. Dear All,I have noticed a recent problem with Radar Contact v4.2 and FS2004 on my computer.There are two parts of this problem, but I think that they are related.Firstly, when I am heading to the approach part of the flight Radar Contact directs me to a heading which is totally inappropriate. When I ignore the directions, I am constantly told to take this heading even though it directs me away from the airport.Secondly, I have noticed that when I am using Radar Contact, it seems to affect the aircraft's compass such that the heading as presented on the displays is wrong by up to 70 degrees.Has anyone else found this problem, and if so, how did they fix it?Best regards,Pe…

as per the title, is it possible to add pre recorded act chatter to specific airports/frequencies with rc4? I have collected some files for my home airport of EGPH and would like to have these play while I am in and around the airport rather than the default UK files as these all tend to be for heathrow. I see that in the winwood folder theres already a folder for EGCC which is what i'd like to achieve for edinburgh. Not sure is this is possiobe or not so and input appreciated.Cheers

Hi there from Spain guys!I am an avid Radar Contact v4 user (with PMDG 737). The other day I used it together with Level-d's 767 for the first time. I encountered the same problem in two different flights. While cruising in one of them, I changed some altitude restrictions in the FMC. Until this moment everything was ok, but suddenly the aircraft started to descend (my fault, as I hadn't noticed that I had reached the TOD and the plane had automatically started the descent). Very quickly I requested ATC to give me a lower cruise altitude to settle myself there until ATC gave me the descent levels. So, I waited and finally I was cleared to a lower flight level and so on. …

I'm flying the Flight1 Cessna Mustang in FSX with SP2. I'm using ASA for weather. I'm landing at KALN (Alton-St. Louis) on March 7th using Historical weather for that day and the 1500 GMT hour. The ASA report said I should expect winds @ 13 gusting to 18 at 180*. RC said I should expect 80kts at 235*! RC also said the temperture was -45/-50! On final the wind was showing 32kts @ 280* on my PFD and RC actually had it around 13kts when they cleared me to land on runway 29.My question is, why the differences? What's with the tempertures? Who do I believe? Is RC not compatable with ASA ?

Hi,there are certain runways at Schipol that are unsuitable for take off of heavy aircrafts, but sometimes I am given instructions to leave from one of them. Is there a way to let RC know that some runways must not be use for departure? I have tweaked the Afcad files already by marking "Closed for Take off" and rebuilt the scenery database to no avail.Thanks

I installed Aerosoft EDLP for FS2004, rebuilt the DB, made sure I had the latest version of MakeRwys.exe.hen I selected a fp from EDLP to EDDH RC4 did not recognize EDLP.The loaded Flight Plan window displays like this: to EDDH@25000 (Alt1- , Alt2-) / WRB.TOLGI.DLE.AGATI.NOLGO. *RVSMThe controller info is completely blanked out.I searched the forum but couldn't fine anybody else with this problem.Thank you for your help.Dan

I am getting crashes of RC4 when trying to use it with the recently released Active Aky Advanced (ASA) in FS9. Anyone else experiecing this? RC4 works fine with the older ASv6

Haven't used RC in quite a while, in fact I still have ver.4.01. My question is how do I update to ver 4.3? I tried to follow the path to upgrade from 4.01 to 4.2 but can't find how to do that if it is still possible. Tried to follow the pinned topics but couldn't get very far.Should I just upgrade straight to ver 4.3?Sorry if this is an old and repeatedly asked question but I have been out of the loop for awhile. Do you know a tool or a gauge that can allow me to know which rwy is currently in use by AI and RC at a particular airport (destination ifr airport) while inflight ?

Lately I've found that RC is not picking up one of the airports of the flight plan. The plans are fine in FSC and FS9 but RC misses one of either the initial or final airport. Anyone else have this trouble? Using FS9, Flightsim Commander, FSBuild, Vroute....etc.

I'm a newcomer to RC that I recently acquired.I'm trying to set up a flight from LGIR to LGRP for which I've aiport mods.I've rebuild the data base but RC still looks into the stock airports instead than into the mod aiports to fetch the com frequencies (confirmed with AFCAD). Question is there anyway for RC to give a ground delay due to fog? I flew out of IAH last night and the visalibilty was 1/4. And there was no ground stops. I have even been cleared by RC when visialibilty was 0 miles. Is there anyway to chaneg this?

While RC is loading I get a Runtime error 7 out of memory messgae. Any idea how I can eliminate this?ThanksErik

Hello everyone,Firstly thanks everyone who is able to help here.I am totally new to RC4, in fact only purchased it today via download, and I am generally a novice when it comes to FSX.Anyway I seem to get RC4 to start working fine. I ennter load my flight plan and everything seems fine at first. I can respond by pressing 1,2,7 etc or whatever is required when prompted. My problem is occuring almost only a minute after takeoff when I am requested by ATC to press 1 to change frequency or acknowledge im leaving the airspace or similar.
