I just installed RC 4.3 and ran into a problem for which I have not found a solution so far. I see the Radar Contact Window and can move it around just fine, however it doesn't recognize my keystrokes. For example, if I press '1' to request a clearance, nothing happens. The windows stays the same, the frequency won't get changed and I hear no chatter.I already tried all predefined keystrokes, checked for interference with FSX keys and all that. I don't get it done.I have the Options FSUIPC multiline display window and Hide all single line messages checked in FSUIPC, just like the manual says.Can anybody help me please?Merry Christmas to all of you.pepeI have installed:Win…

Hello!All flights I have had with RC up to now:ATC tells me to leave cruise about 145nm from destination, evne when cruising at only FL330.This is in my opinion too early (of course especially when the opposite runway turns out to be the runway in use, making the descent at least 35 nm longer. Iknow RC doesn'n knowabout that until later))After leaving cruise, ATC always seem to tell me "when ready, descent to FL200..")Leaving cruise 145nm out when in FL 330 is too early, so if you can change the logic so that you are told "descent when ready to FL.something" would be nice.Now it seems like there is aIF plane < 145nm out THEN clear him to CruiseALT -4000;)

im not for sure how to run a log from your desription.i have radar c. networked from another com.i copied a flight plan to the computer with radar contact, i then loaded it into radar contac and started RC.on the other computer the interface came up and said it was ready.i then hit the 2 key and got the error 75, and there is a couple of times that i will get error 52 but mostly 75.im not for sure how you start a log , i will start the debug and start it but where do i go to send you a log after i get the error.im sorry for my ignorants.im getting close but no cigar:)the anti virus im using is AVG.thanks>Robert

Hi all,I've been using Radar Contact 4.3 for about three days now, working my way through the manual and training flights. It's a great piece of software which dramatically enhances the realism of ATC in FSX.However, I've got a major problem:On a seemingly random basis, the keystrokes for RC as defined in the RC keyboard dialog are not recognized!It may happen that I can see the push-back menu option in the RC window after having contacted ground and copied my clearance, but on pressing the assigned key nothing happens. Hi allFSX Acceleration, RC4.3, Vista 64bit. Load a valid FSX flight plan into RC. Start FSX, aircraft and flight plan loaded correctly. Start RC. Menu appears in FSX. Select Option 2, to listen to ATIS. RC exits upon selection of ATIS from within FS. RC does not generate a log file I can send.Any pointers?RegardsPaul

Hi JD&Co,what can I do about it? I had to reinstall Windows and lost even my backup of many bought FS9 ADDONs incl. RCv4. How can I get RCv4 for a new install without having to pay a second time for it? I got the e-mails with the keys etc. but not anymore the install files.Regards, Torben Hadler

I was sitting at KIAH waiting at the short line waiting for ATC to tell me to position and hold. I sat there forever while the AI planes were landing. It never told me to taxi into position and hold. Did RC just forgot about me sitting there landing all the AI planes or should I turn the traffic slider down?Thanks

Like other users, I'm looking forward for v5 (hope it will include taxi in ground control and also SIDs and STARs - not only waypoints). My question refers to landing clearance: I have noticed that AI traffic is "cleared to land" before my aircraft has left the runway. It happened 3 times. I decided to wait in the runway and see what would happen. The AI traffic did not land, but I also didn't hear any go-around instruction from the tower. Is this normal? Hello all,I bought RC a few day ago, worked myself through the tutorials and made my first flights with RC.First of all - I think it is a great program.But... I experience some problems, where I don't know if it's a fault of the program I have to live with, or if I'm doing sth. wrong.1) I have a lot of AI Traffic on my system (Ultimate Traffic at 100%). While on a flight from LFPG to EDDS (middle of AI-busy Europe) I had the problem, that RC forgot to score some checkpoints and ordered me to turn back. I've been using this for a few weeks now, and it's great.I just saw one issue today- thought I might let you know. Don't know if it's rc4 related or not.After I landed at Corpus Christi, Texas today with an American Eagle flight, and as I was lining up to park, all of a sudden a Southwest 737, parked on the other side of the terminal, blasted forward, through the building and me, as if it had slew mode. A few seconds later, I heard that SW plane requesting pupshback + taxi. It then proceeded to taxi around over the water.Just reporting it. Hi guys/gals, got a bit of a problem with 4.3. When I reach the runway and theres an aircraft on the runway waiting, and one ready at the hold short point, radar contact doesnt seem to clear the aircraft on the runway for take-off. Nothing happens, and it leaves me there waiting. Eventually I give up and refresh the AI using activesky. I have recently turned out autoreply, but everything else has stayed the same. Please note: before and during taxi, I can see aircraft taking off, so it appears to occur when I'm told to monitor tower. Many thanks and I hope some one can help.Sam.

RC is one fine product. (Obligatory blatant attempt to curry favor from the developer :( ).Please answer a couple questions if you will. Where in heavens name does RC get the ATIS information? Today RC ATIS said it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood when Active Sky v6.5 said it was like 500ft overcast with light rain and fog. We're not in the same city, country? I purchased Radar Contact in January 2006 and it was supplied on a cd.I do have the original key supplied to me.Since purchase I have updated to version 4.01 and I am running it with FS2004.I have now purchased a new computer with Vista 64 business and I am running FSX,My questions are:1. Am I going to be able to run the latest version (or any version) of Radar Contact, without further charge, on my new computer runninf FSX ?2. I've been putting in some time with the A2A B-377, which, as I understand, would typically descend at a rate of 500-700 fpm max. I find when using RC with the 377, I am almost always forced to descend at a rate close to 1,000+ to meet crossings and requests. I've tried using both prop and turbo prop as selections, but regardless always seem to be 'dive bombing' this old bird.Am I missing a 'trick' here? Or is RC simply created to believe you are in more modern aircraft and assuming I will/can descend at 1,000 or more? And if so, would it be a consideration to develop an RC selection in the future for aircraft as the 377, or DC-3, or similar?

Hi,I bought the Captain Sim C-130 during the one day special sale. Can't get it to work with RC4.I load a fp, start RC4, get the Avdisp ok, but when I ask for the weather briefing (2-wx briefing) its total silence.I tried other key combinations as well, no luck.This is in FSX Sp2, Windows xp sp3.I don't have this problem with any of my other addons, anybody else with same problem?Thanks for any advice.Helmut

Using the PMDG MD-11, the cargo doors close using keyboard Cntrl + Shift + N. If I perform a flight without Radar Contact, the cargo doors on the MD-11 close normally using keyboard Cntrl + Shift + N. But whenever I perform a flight with Radar Contact, the cargo doors will not close using keyboard Cntrl + Shift + N. I tried it both with the RC4 window in view and also with it hidden, but the cargo doors will not close. So it seems like RC is interfering by using Cntrl + Shift + N for one of its functions. But I have been thru the RC4 keystroke list many times, and there is no Cntrl + Shift + N keystroke associated with it. Just wondering if anyone else using this t…

Hello all,Have just purchased and installed.Am experiencing following problem:After having loaded and started RC, I want to switch FS 2004 from "Window" view (necessary to bring up RC from the Taskbar when FS 2004 is running), to "Full Screen" view. Then FS 2004 "freezes" and I have to restart FS 2004 all over. It won't maximize to "Full Screen" view when RC is running.Without RC running I have no problem to switch back and forth between "Window" view and "Full Screen" view. Also, after having completed a flight with RC (in "Window" view necessarily), and with RC having itself switched off, I have no problem to switch to "Full Screen" view. Hi guys,Not sure if you can help me on this one. I've had a look through the forum and haven't seen anything on it. I am using FS2004 and when OTTO tells conrol that he is leaving the frequency to get weather, Flight sim crashes - in a fairly big way.This only seems to happen if I fly two flights in a row. The first flight is always fine, then on the return flight it always goes wrong.
