Hi,I have RC 4.3 for FS9.At the very moment when destination airport ground frequency is activated FS9 quits.The flight is from ESSA (Stockholm, Sweden) to URSS (Sochi, Russia).I have made the flight three times, turning off the RWY at three different TWYs. I made a hold each time.On final I did pre-set the ground frequency to 119.00 (on the standby frequency selector) .When at hold after RWY-turn off and switching 119.00 to the acticve frequency selector the screen turns black and FS has quit.Below is a print-screen of the frequencies used in FS and in RC, in case it is of any interest.I have made a log-file which I can send "the normal way".I'm not sure if this really …

My understanding, from what I have read on the subject, is that in RL, if TCAS orders a manoeuvre such as "ascend" or "descend" the crew must obey that regardless of what ATC have instructed.Now, we all know what would happen in RC4 if we did that! We would be shouted at to watch our altitude, with no way of us explaining why were doing what we did. My question is will v5 have anything to cater for this?Iain Smith

I just installed Radar contact and it is acting really weird. Notice in the RC box the words are all mixed up, almost unreadable. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Just started using RC4 again,i seem to remember the last time i used it the ADV Display would hide itself until the next message came for your attention,but now it stays on.Any ideas how to make it go away.Ta Dave

Has anyone got an answer to my question,When Itry to install RC on my Vista 64 bit system I get the following error, C:\Windows\Ststem 32\std ole2.tlb unable to register the type libary,register type Lib failed:code Ox8002801c,error accessing the OLE registry, It's driving me mad ,any help would be appreciated ,Thank you Eric

RC4 is repeatedly ordering me to do a missed approach and scolding me for not having my landing gear down when on final in the LDS B767 in FS9. But my gear is down -- three green and locked! Anyone else experiencing this?

Hopefully someone can clear this part up for me. I downloaded Version 2, Parts 1-10, which was a total of 100 zipped files. I have unzipped those 100 files. Inside the unzipped files are folders containing the various wav files, with numbers, 1, 2, 3, ...up to 98. These folders are going to replace the original/wav files folders in the RC4 Winwood folder. However, Version 2 Part 1 has a folder 1, 2, 3, etc, as does Version 2 Part 2., as does Version 2 Part 3, etc. If I place Part 1 in the winwood folder, then copy Part 2 in the winwood folder, part 2 will replace folders 1,2, 3, etc from Part 1. Do I just install the unzipped folders from Version 2 Part 1, or just Part 2,…

Hi all,Thanks in advance for your help!I am running FSX with SP1 and 2 installed (via acceleration)I have RCV4.3.I am running Vista 64 bit.I registered the msvvt file (forgot the exact name) in the syswow64 folder.However, during running FSX it keeps on freezing at various points for lengths of time (it seems to be especially when Radar Contact is trying to play a message from ATC). It freezes for a good 6-7 minutes than comes back for 10-15 seconds and freezes again.I know it is Radar Contact as when I end the program FSX runs perfectly smoothly.Is there anything else I need to do to get this running smooth on my machine? A question about STAR approach.Will RCv5 allow to fly real STAR and not only 12000 feet at 40NM from the airport?Yesterday, I landed to CYUL coming from CYQM on rwy 6L.My flight plan included the MAIRE.6 STAR which calls to be at MAIRE below FL170 when landing east (6L and 6R). MAIRE being only 25NM from the airport, RCv4 ordered me to be 15NM prior to MAIRE at 12000, which means that I had to fly 40 NM at 12000 before commencing the approach...On the other hand, landing at SEA on 34C/R coming from south, being at 12000 40NM from the airport is too late and results in a difficult approach because you have to descent quickly to make your approach.Will RCv5 be more realisti…

Hi..I would like to confirm my understanding about RC4.Is it true that we only get the menu Direct waypoint (Dir Ckpt) after we are passing +/- 30Nm from the departure airport or when ATC instruct us to contact center?If this is true, how to skip waypoint/ SID that is located < 30NM.Is it true that we only get the menu IAP approach (Dir Ckpt) after we are closing +/- 30Nm from the arrival airport or when ATC instruct us to contact approach?If this is true, how to fly following a specific STAR if the 1st STAR waypont is still beyond 30NM? (suppose I do not include STAR in my flight plan at first, so it does not appear on RC4)

I was looking at the new voice sets by Nick Schreger. In Version 2 there are 10 files per 10 parts, i.e., 100 files. Just before I download 100 files, are they all required? Just wondering.

I have rc4 fsx & acceleration.i run rc4 on a network machine and it works ok appart from being a bit slow in responding to commands. But i never get any traffic warning from rc4, my aircraft tcas will be shouting at me but never radar contacti am wondering if there is some thing i have not done right in the set up over the network?the seccont issue is that i never seem to get holds even when i select always hold.normally i have the hold for weather and it never holds me . i fly with ASA weather and browsed to the FLT/WX folder(i assume this is the flight simulatorx files folder where all flights are saved?)even with full imc i dont get divertedkav

Hi,If you think like I do it put some extra kind of reality to the sim hearing som country related chatter when flyingthrough different countries with different languages or dialects.I have collected chatter files from various sites and sources in order to fill up the winwood country-chatter-folders.I you have done this yourself you will of course have experienced how time consuming this often will be. Just to find these files is time consuming, but often there will be a load of work also to devde them into app, atc1, atc2 and so on.I want to make such chatter files myself by recording live chatter through streaming on internet.There is as an example a site where you can …

Is there a way for RC ATIS to reconize the Active Sky weather? When I tune to ATIS it may give me a 50 mile visability. Active Sky is more realistic with a 10 mile visiability. Is there a setting for RC to reconize Active Sky?

lately, RCD has stopped saving an RCD file for me. When I hit ctrl+shft+;, it makes 61-62289-RJAA Narita Intl - EKCH Kastrup-7$1.FLT, 61-62289-RJAA Narita Intl - EKCH Kastrup-7$1.FSSAVE, and 61-62289-RJAA Narita Intl - EKCH Kastrup-7$1.WX.I get a WX file, a FLT file, and an FSSAVE file, and can't reload the flight.I haven't debugged and done the log yet, but before I do that, is this a known issue? Anybody know what I need to do to fix this?

I seem to be afflicted with almost all problems trying to open these files. I purchased winzip 12 to see if that would help so far no luck. I will keep trying, hate to see your hard work just sitting there. I have the files I can see their contents, just can't get them to RC. They just won't transfer............ :(Sorry this was suppose to be under current thread of this topic.

John,Since I uninstalled FSX, I've had either no RC4 display or the green box extends horizontally across the screen and displays some white letters and numbers but mostly just white boxes. The program UI appears fine but the AdvDisp is seriously messed up. I performed a full uninstall and reinstall and new key activation yesterday, but to no avail. Any ideas?Dave

I am running RC-4, Ver 4.3.3843 on a networked machine running XP. I have the latest version of wide client and Show Text installed. I am running FSX on the server using Vista 64 with all files shared with full rights, etc. I have the most current version of FSUIPC installed in FSX. I have run Makerunways exe, updated RC-4 etc. I have rebuilt the data base. I have completed the Flt Wx path. I start FSX and am connected to WideClient. Start Show Text, it is connected. I have RC verson 4.3 installed on my PC and it is working perfectly for FS2004. I just installed FSX on the same PC and want to use RC4.3 for FSX. I have read the published Notice About RC 4.3 but have a question about the correct procedure for installation. First I made a copy of the rcv4 folder and named it rcv4x and placed it back in the program files as instructed. Now the question. What do you mean by unzip the new rcv4.exe into the rcv4x directory? Does this mean to run the exe (double click it) and then install it into rcv4x and then overwrite when prompted? Thanks, Al

Is RC using reallife approaches for airports? For example I fly from the UK to The Netherlands, to EHAM. ATC give me a clearing for landing on runway 18R, I fly first above the northsea directly to the airport, than gives ATC me a left heading to fly along runway 18R and than again a right heading to intercept the ILS. I'll see this sort of approaches not only with EHAM but also on other approaches with other airports. When I'm looking to reallife approaches for runways to EHAM, ATC gives better approaches. I hope somebody can answer my question.

have reinstalled rc4, got the new key...when i put it in the box as required the application just closes down with no warnings, nothing.when i try it again same thing over and over again..please helpmany thanks

Hi JD,First off...I'm really enjoying RC3. Thank you for all the hard work.On a recent flight from Centennial Airport in Colorado (KAPA) to Aspen (KASE). I was receiving vectors to the approach to RW15. The controller descended me to 10700 then cleared me for the approach, which upon my suprise put me vis-a-vis with a cumulus granite. I did get to practice my terrain avoidance manuever, however I'm still picking pine tree needles out of my wheel wells :). My question is obviously, does RC3 take terrain into account? (does it know where the terrian lies?) I followed every vector to a tea...even received the congrats message after the flight. Just wondering. Best Regard…

I filed a Flight Plan from Avalon (VIC) to Canberra (ACT) via LLOYD, ML and thence via DOSEL. I was given my airways clearance on departure R/W 18, to track via SID. This turned me left after takeoff and intercepted the 027 ML VOR inbound, passing abeam LLOYD by about 8NM to the east. At about 20 DME north of ML on track to DOSEL, I was advised to take up a heading of 225 to regain track and advise when I could continue with my own navigation. When I did not comply, the controller got quite indignant! I assume that by complying with the AV SID and not tracking initially via LLOYD, the program lost track of me. Is there any way to comply with the SID and not confuse …
