hello fols i have the version four cd in my hands and i have been away from the game for awhile.after i load the cd do i have a whole lot of updates or do i have to buy it again.and im sure i will need fuicp which i do have to network it.Thanks....Robert

Firstly I'd like to say sorry if I'm missing something here as I am not a real world airline pilot.My question is:Lets say I start a flight from LAX-SFO in an aircraft with a full fmc system (so I can choose runways and approaches).Do I have to choose an arriving runway before i leave my departure airport? Is this how its done in the real world?I ask this because some times i choose the "wrong"runway e.g. at Heathrow they were using one runway for takeoffs and one for landings and i choseone of the runways before I had even taken off but when i was on approach realised I was landing on the runway that they were using for takeoffs which meant i ended up doing a very frustr…

Hey all,I just had my first RC problem since 06, I just installed SP2, and now when I try to launch RC it will not launch. I do not see the window or anything at all, but I know it has to be running because the button has changed to "Quit RC". I have done searches for the past hour and have not found a solution. How do you convert to QNH on your altimater if it does not have it. In other words when they say QNH 10.11 how do you convert that to 29.92 or what ever it converts to. Is there a formula or convertion list. Thanks for help.

Hi JD,I want to uninstall then reinstall FSX.I have RC4 for FSX installed already.Must I uninstall RC4 as well and reinstall it or can I just leave RC4 and it will work again after reinstalling FSX and FSUIPC.Mike

Hello,I've been reinstalling my FS9 system after a long break from flightsimming and RC4 is of course also on the reinstallation list. My problem however is that all links to the patches (4.01, 4.2 and 4.3) are not online anymore. Hi all,when I start RV4 on client maschine, on the server the RV4 pops up, first the FSX makes as jump like using "Y". then I start with wx information "ff.2" it starts normal. When I continue with "ff.3" for approval FPN nothing happens on server and on the client RV4 freeze in. I have disabled "ff.3" in FSX no chance. Hello!I just bougt RC and have flown 5 trips in Europe so far.My frist impression is that it is much like Microsoft's ATC, with a more realistic touch. But it can be much better.It is really sad that all the thousands of ATC and pilot sounds you have spent so much time recording, is so unreal, soundwise.It is easy to hear when you have the ATC chatter enabled, to hear the difference when the ATC is contacting you...Really sad. What you should have done is to record all the items through a radio transmission:Hook up a AM airband radio (with a dummy load, making it transmit only inside the room), and record the items from an airband scanner in another room. When I first start RC, I obtain the weather briefing by using keyboard #2 and the briefing goes fine. Then I get the options of weather briefing again or to contact ground. If I missed something in the weather briefing, I donot seem to be able to hear the recording again. When I use keyboard #2 again, the RC window briefly says standby but then no repeat weather recording. Should you be able to hear the weather briefing a second time or more for that manner since it is listed as an option? Thanks, Al

Did you copy the makerwys.exe from the upgrade zip, into the fs9 root directory (where the fs9.exe is located), and the fsX root directory (where the fsx.exe is located?) Did you copy the rcv4.exe into the rcv4 directory Did you rebuild the scenery database the first time you ran rcv4.exe? I think this is where something is going wrong. When I hit "Rebuild Scenery Database", I get "Is this a Widef configuration?"??1st question: whats a widef configuration? I just installed RC4.3 on my new Vista PC. Installation went fine. RC worked well.I went to Rebuild Data Base and was asked to give path of FS which I must have done incorrectly the first time.I was then presented with several boxes (I think 4 of them) which the only option I had was to say OK. No option to Cancel.Went back and entered the path of FS correctly and the scenery data base rebuilding went fine.My question is - what were those boxes that popped up with some questions (forgot the details) and all I could say was OK.Any problems with saying OK to these? It seems that if your flight plans first way point after departure is less that 30 miles from the departure A/P, RC does not provide you with vectors to your final course. Is this the case? Can this be modified? If the first way point is greater than 30 miles, then I seem to get vectors. Thanks, Al

Whilst I know that I am not making full use of the hard work and dedication to authenticity that went into setting up the chatter abilities of RC, I really want something a lot simpler (although a lot less realistic).Can I have just one chatter folder, that plays whatever I put into it, regardless of where I am or what I am doing - just random "noise"?If so, can you tell me how to do it.ThanksNicholas

hi. im using English version Vista 64 bit with korean locale (cause im living in korea) i have no problem with launching RC4 (installed 4.3 version with FSX) but when i try to hear pilot , copilot and contollers voice (in RC option menu) sounds are very noisy with broken voice. its same in FSX playing.but if i set my windows locale to english it going to ok. so i think thats cause from asian locale.this is result from my test.1. Hello!I have FSX on the "server" computer, and FS9 on a slaved computer throug WideView.The client is in SLEW mode, but it is moving exactly like the server, of course.Can I use RC on the client?The AI traffic is not synced on the computers (I have FSX/FS9 mixed configuration, and can not use WideTraffic),and I want to see the traffic I am following.Besides, in this way I will get RC sound on a seperately output, and can get that sound in adedicated speaker.

When I'm flying the ATR-72 from Flight1 along with RC, the panels in the ATR-72 start acting strange.
