Hi: I have been away from flying for awhile. I just got a new Vista 32 PC and want to reinstall RC. Still flying FS 2004. I have the original RadarContact CD version 4 and the rcv401update.exe. I want to reinstall on my new PC and upgrade to 4.3. What would be the best way to do this? Thanks, Al

Goodday,I have following question: I'm flying the PMDG 737 with FMC.When I'm on cruise altitude and get my 1st descent clearance from RC, I have the choice/option to ask and follow my descent as per PD (3)(manual page 48) but I want to follow my descent as per FMC. But always RC denied my request and gives me new altitude clearance, or gives mepermission and give me still new altitude clearance. :( Is there a logic or do I something forgotten. :( (I do the talking by myself)Thanks for replying.

Is anyone having problems with the AI Traffic stopping a little distance back from them when taxiing? No matter what aircraft i fly, default or otherwise, they always stop a certain distance away from me until i receive take-off clearance and then they resume taxiing to the runway. This happens now with or without Radar Contact on. I'm not sure if RC is the problem but the situations has only arisen after installing and running RC. It's like no AI wants to taxi directly behind me, until after I've received take-off clearance

I have installed Radar Contact and it works OK over a couple of short flights. However, I cannot get it to save and load. When I tried the normal ";" in FSX the flight saved OK, but when I loaded it, Radar Contact was not running. I then minimised FSX and started RC, but it could not find any .rcd files. I then searched the hard drive and again could not find any .rcd files.I then saved a flight using CTRL-SHIFT-; , and again serached for a .rcd file. Nothing anywhere!I am using FSX and 32 bit Vista.Is this a known problem? It will make the program unusable for me as I can only use FSX for short periods and use the save and load function a lot.

I'm over to a new Vista PC and I wonder why the voices talking so fast. It's difficult to understand everything. Where can find an option that the voices talking a little bit slower?

I am thinking of buying radar contact. However, I currently saw a video demonstrating radar contact (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LYwZcYpxZDQ) and I must say I was very dissapointed with the voices. They sound very robotic and much worse than the default FSX atc. However, the avsim review suggested that after version 4.01 the fluidity of the voices was imporved. I don't know which version is used in the video so can someone tell me if v4.3 sounds any better than in the video? Would it be possible for someone to send a sample of some sort?Thanks

Are any of you good people using the PMDG 747 (FSX) and having any trouble wth missing parts of the cockpit when reloading an rcd file?I am having trouble with this. What I do to get the missing instrument panel back in view is change the aircraft in flight to another variant of the same aircraft (PMDG) and then swap back to the original.Trouble is when I do this the original aircraft's MCP settings have defaulted back to their takeoff settings ( no autopilot and so on)Would appreciate any advice on correcting this rather annoying problem.Bryan.

Thought I try the holding function over Heathrow and after joining the hold pattern was given a new EFC time then another and another until I finally went and and had my dinner, came back and it was still holding (Hour and a half). In the end gave up and switched off. Am I doing something wrong. Level-d FS9.

I just saw one of Mokulele's new E170's fly overhead for the first time the other day and decided to try their routes. i am in the process of moving from a computer with xp to a new computer with vista. so far all fs2004 installs and add-ons have gone well and some work better. however, rc4 starts up and when i go to load a plan it states "run time error 713 class not registered you must install on your machine msstdfmt.dll.so i did a search on vista an the dll was not there. went back to the xp and found the dll under sys32 folder, made a copy and then placed in the vista folde of the same name. still no go. reloaded rc4 thinking that might work still no go. tried turning off uac no go. any idea's would help. stuck in jax with no co-pilot!

Can you post an in-flight flight plan like you can in the default FS ATC and resume your flight from current location??

I am in the process of purchasing and installing Orbix scenery for Australia. Because of the specialized type of flying I will be doing in OZ, I will never be using RC 4. Should I still rebuild the scenery database before flying in the U.S.A. after the Australia scenery installation?

I have version 4.3 installed and tried flying out of Amsterdam last night. I was told to use runway 19R for takeoff! This should be 18R I guess? How do I fix this problem?Andy S

HI all,I have just created a flight plan from USSS (Ekaterinburg) to USNN (Nizhnevarstok) by using the default FS9 flight planner. I have imported the file but all I got is this:As you can see the departure is well clear, but the destination is unknown although the file is properly compiled using standard scenery. Hi Everyone,,,Just finished another trip with RC4, and a thought came across my mind. Is it REQUIRED to load the flightplan into FS2004 in order for RC4 to function properly?? Seeing as we load the FP into RC4, it seems a bit redundant to me.No complaints, no issues. Just wondering if I can cleanly eliminate that step from my checklist when flying with RC4.Thanks,orbmis

Hi Guys,Trying to setup RC on a network. Installed RC to the client machine. Widefs connects to the server, load the fltpln in RC and start. The RC display shows in FSX, seemingly all is well but the wav files don't play. RC installed on the server machine works fine so it's not a sound problem probably. Set the path for flt/wx, have the appropriate files shared with read/write capability. ASX and FS Commander are networked from the same client and work fine.Would really appreciate any help!ThanksJeb
