Hello,Flying a FS2004 flight plan from KBOS to KLGA, and my 1st waypoint is BOSOX, whic is listed as 29 nm from KBOS. My RC controller info does state that I have Altitude restrictions. KBOS departure control sets me up for clearance to 1000 ft, but never moves me up any higher. I made it to my BOSOX waypoint, and beyond, but still was at 1000. When I decided on my own to move up to 8000, ATC advised to watch altitude, as I had been cleared to 1000.I've read the RC 4.3 manual on DP's & SIDS, but do not understand what I may be doing wrong here. Obviously, going on the premise it is me somehow, and not RC.Thanks for any help you may offer.orbmis

John, I need to send you an error file--it concerns runtime error 75--and the problem occurs about 30-40 minutes into my flight. I have saved the flight at a point a few minutes before the error occurs. Do I need to start the flight from the very beginning, or can I pick up the flight at that saved point and send the file only from that saved point?

Howdy guys,I am contemplating purchasing Radar contact, but would like to find out if this is fully functional outside the US?What I mean for example, are the different sectors / divisions / centers updated to reflect latest real world ATC, or is it dependant on FS2004's database?Best regards

I was looking at my documents just now, trying to clean up the place.I noticed two files:1.rc43-1.binlast modifies9/1/2007680MB (!)2.4c43-0.bin3,45MBsame dateI have RC4.3 in C/Program Files. I reinstalled it a month ago after reformatting. Are the above files there because the install put them there or what? The first file is huge. Is it vital to RC's running or is it redundant?Eytan

I am noticing at a airport that I fly out of they will tell me to contact tower for departure. When I contact tower and tell them im at 4R ready for departure they will acknoledge my transmission but I may sit there for 15 min and they have not told me to taxi into position and hold. Am I just suppose to taxi and hold or still wait on ATC? Also there are not any other planes to depart or to land. This is a small reginal airport.

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, but a search didn't turn up anything. I've been using RC4 for a couple of weeks now and am getting more and more comfortable with it. I have version 4.3.3845 on my computer. On p. 26 of the latest available manual (V4.3), there is a diagram that shows a button labeled "Check for Updates"; however, the version shown in the manual is 4.0.3570. My concern is that my RC control panel doesn't have that Check for Updates button, nor can I find an update function anywhere in its installation. What is the procedure for updates now? (Or are we so close to RC5 that RC4 will not have any more updates?)

I'm using RC4 and absolutely love it. Recently I also started using FSHotSFX which I know is not compatible with RC due to the TCASid being changed. The question I want to ask is that if I keep the Interact with AI option in RC turned ON and turn OFF the AI Chatter option while at the same time turning up the volume in FS9's default ATC sound, will I hear any interaction between the default ATC and the AI planes? Or will RC4's interaction with the AI override the default ATC talking with the AI?The idea I'm getting at is to have RC4 talk to me while still interacting with the AI while I listen to the default ATC talk with the AI. This is get around RC4 using the plane type…

Flying into UAAA in PMDG MD-11.Told descend to FL150 QNH 1028.Set QNH to 1028Set autoflight to 15000 and start descent. leveling out at 15100 I hear.""Sir you have busted your altitude your assigned altitude is FL150 QNH 1028"I hit Ctrl+Shft+/ to hear the call again. Check the QNH setting everything shows me flying smooth at FL150. Of course I then get several busted altitude warnings in a row folowed by a scolding and how fisdo will be talking to me later. When I get told to descent to FL130 I hit the altitude and no problem but..Then I get vectored so far out that I'm out of range of the localizer. If I hadn't been paying attention and turned my self towards the airfiel…

All, Well I am getting a little more comfortable with using RC4 and I like it very much... One question - I keep busting my altitude when requested to decend and getting the instruction about "I need you down there in 30 miles or less"... On several occasions I have started dowm immediately upon receiveing ATC instructions at a 2000 FPM rate - and - have not made it on time... Does RC4 have an expected decent rate when giving such instructions ??? What decent rate would be realistic ???Thanks,Scott

Sorry if this question as already been asked but when i was flying FL180 or 18,000ft I was off about 100ft and ATC kept telling me to climb and maintain FL180. When I was there he kept telling me to maintain FL180 which I did but kept getting that message from ATC. What was I doing wrong? Alt was set at FL180

Hi I am just commng back to RC and i'm not sure if i am doing some thing wrong. I set up my flight and every thing works ok i think. Just on final approach i get the message saying it's your plane, i am lined up for approach with all nav/comms tuned in which was done by the RC auto pilot intructed to decend to 3000 feet, expecting to pick up on the ILS but it doesn't. The plane stays at 3000 ft and overflys the runway. My question is should autopiloy stay connected and touch the plane down or is it normal that he hands it back to me. I am using the default aircraft. Any hel will be appreciated. Thanks Shaun

I note in the pre-flight set-up menu for RC4, there is an option to add alternative destination airport(s). Also some of the add-on flight planners (I use FS Commander 8.4) have these features too.I also note that in the RC4 text window (on the "next" pages), there are options for pilot to request diversion to the alternative airport (if one has been selected on the set-up menu) as well as emergency diversions to the nearest available airport. However what would increase realism on future RC version would be the controller requesting that the aircraft diverts to the alternative airport, could be due to eg weather, heavy traffic or other incident at original destination. Pe…

I have just downloaded RDC4.3, every thing works fine, and it's very pleasant to use it, but I have a problem : I can't save any RCD file, whatever the way I use, as explained in the tutorials (default RC keys, FS menu).Have you some explanation ?I don't know if it is important but my FSUIPC is the 4.30 version. Thanks a lot !Pierre LFRS

What I gather from the manual, the co-pilot is able to fly the plane. so far I haven't been able to make that happen. I read in the manual the co-pilot will fly it right to before the final approach. My co-pilot doesn't do anything other than say they've got the plane. What autopilot settings need to be on for the co-pilot to make altitude changes and turns?+Thanks :)George "Alky

I recently installed Radar Contact 4.3 and everything is working fine until I call for push and start when I get run-time error 52 and states: "RadarContact.fsuipc.rcv4code". I have re-installed RCv4.3, but that has not changed anything. I am running Vista (opened with Admin), and FS9 with a registered version of FSUIPC. Thanks!
