I fly with ASX BTW, but a lot of the time when I'm about 30 miles from my destination I get weather and be told landing a departing say runway 1L @ KRIC. Then I'll get passed to approach and directed to land at runway 12 or 19R .The funny thing is that all the AI is landing at 1L . This is at KIAD btw.Any idea what may be happening?

I'm anoying that the 'I say again, reduce speed to...' are comming to fast after each other while I'm reducing my speed to the speed ATC want me to fly. How can I solve this?

Good Morning gentsI am running FSX with RC on a networked PC, using WideFS and Showtext.Is it possible to have the keystrokes on the PC with RC installed, instead of the FSX PC. The problem is the the keystrokes are duplicated with some actions used by FSX ie doors and screens.I've also experienced some irregularities with Aerosofts Hannover and Wilco's emb170/190, in that when landing. The Tower gives me a go around stating the gear is not lowered when it is.many thanksLaurie

Hi I was wondering if there is or going to be an option to pushback without contacting ATC where there is airports that its not a requirement but rather a complimentry like at small airports or reginal airports.

Is it possible to disable the calls being made for traffic advisories? I get fed up with agnowledging these calls as very few of them are actually conflicting with my flight routeing.ThanksKeith

Yesterday I was flying a vectored approach into airport KXXX. I was instructed to fly heading XXX (numbers unimportant). Because there was a stiff X-wind, I needed to flying a heading much in excess of the actual ordered heading in order to maintain the proper heading. The instruction to fly the heading was repeated several times during the X-wind leg. The after flight critique was not pleasant. Should I have merely set the heading bug (auto-pilot engaged) to the required heading and flown the leg at whatever heading the airplane assumed? I have received gentler treatment at the hands of the FAA.

JD,My problem is indirectly related to RC(which I use with every flight).Since RC uses the flightplans created by fs9 as a starting point, here is where my problem lies.I think my query is going to sound a bit odd, but here goes.After reformatting my hd and reinstalling fs9.1(thanks to a nasty virus), I continued to install my countless addons. Payware and freeware sceneries, planes, utilities, etc. After a few of these I would test fs9 to see that it ran well.I think the last ones to be reinstalled were Just Flight Dash-8, Flight1 ATR and Meridian, Ground Environment, Radar Contact v4.3. Hi,2 newbie questions using RC 4.3. I use PMDG 747X.1. When going to Atis I get the FSX Atis speaking at the same time. I've seen somewhere there is a way to avoid this. Any ideas?2. Using headphones I have a Yoga USB adaptor to split the background mouse from ATC voices. Any suggestion as to settings for this. should I use PMDG or FSX?Many thanks,Peter,New Zealand.

I just purchased FSPax for FS9 and am using that along with RC4. I'm also using it with Vista (if that makes a difference). I have a couple of questions. 1) I had to declare an emergency. FSPax requires the transponder to be set to 7700. I kept getting messages from RC4 to reset the transponder. It wasn't able to work properly if I didn't. I just kept in a loop telling me to reset the transponder.. would hear a couple of tones and it would repeat. No vectors for the final approach or anything. Even after landing, still kept saying to reset the transponder. Is there any way for it to recognized the emergency transponder code?And 2) If anyone uses both please let …

It's been on my list for a while - but - you know how it goes...I started up and completed my very first flight - and - I guess I have a few quesions... I've been using RC now for several weeks in FS9 and FSX and generally like it. I have noticed it's using a lot of resources in my computer...FRs down some, etc. My question involves the Display Text area of General Options. I've checked it since I've apparently had some problems understanding some controllers (I get yelled at about that!), but I haven't seen any text show up. Where should I look for it?

I am already a registered user so this doesn's apply to me. Just after you install RC, there is a screen that tells you how to register. It also mentions how to send an email if the automatic one doesn't apply.The screen that is attached mentiones to use the product code, last name, first name convention. If you let RC set up the email for you, it uses the first name, last name convention. Does it matter which is right?see attached.

I have a strange problem: I select in FSX a plan starting from LFPG, situate the aircraft in the airport, then open RC4, select the plan, and when started, my aircraft is flying far and over the sea.- I can reposition it to the departure point, but then the RC4 clearence option is different than normal: "CLR by FSS", it begin with a phone call, and no ground communication option follows.-I noticed that in the controller info all LFPG departure frequencies are in 0, while the arrival airport has all it frequencies OK.- When I unload FSX, and reload the same plan within RC4 all LFPG frequencies reappear.-I uninstalled and reinstalled RC4 and rebuilt the database and the pro…

I have just installed Radar contact version 4.3.3845, on a new pc running vista 32 bit, which I had previously used on my old pc running xp without any problems. However when I try to load a flight plan from fsx I get the message Run-time error 713.Class not registered.You need the following file to be installed on your machine.MSSTDFMT.DLL!How can I resolve this problem?CheersJohn

I had a strange callsign called: 'Sierra' when I fly. Which company is that?

So far I love radar contact but im having one problem. On approach I feel im receiving vectors that make it impossible to intercept ILS. As soon as I turn on to base I get Localizer alive from FDC live cockpit and im still 90 degrees from runway. It seems everytime I never get a vector on to final and I always overshoot. I have rebuilt the scenery file and everything. What could I be doing wrong. The plane is configured and at 175 knots

I'm thinking about to buy myself Live ATC Chatter but how is it working in combination with Radar Contact 4 and the real traffic files? I have continu internet connection so I can recieve the livestreams.

After reinstalling Windows I encountered a problem when trying to use Radar Contact 4.3 with the MADDOG2006. After every command to it and between every responsde there is a long delay (a minute or more)What could this be? I have never experienced something like it before.

I have decided to uninstall/reinstall rc4. On uninstalling i was left with the file rc4. Contained in the file was a folder "winwood" and a ms dos batch file, makerwys. I tried to delete the winwood folder and I got the message the file was corrupted or unreadable. I then tried to reinstall and the installtion stopped because of this file. Is there a way to delete this file as it won't let me at this point. Thanks.
