I purchased a new video card and am having crashes to the desktop. I purchased an ATI 9600 Pro. I have installed the drivers and also installed the latest from ATI. My old card was a Nvidia, so I changed the vertexIndexFormat to 1. That didn't work so I deleted the old render.ini and let Fly create a new one. Still no luck. Does anyone have a suggestions. I'm sure the card is working properly, It seems to work in other 3D apps. Hi AllI would like to use the wonderful buildings in Hmodels Pod but there is no smf file to accompany the pod. Can anybody explain the difference between Max hits and Unique hits on the debug screen. I notice the the max hits change when panning around. Are the unique hits an average over the session?

I downloaded Andrew Thomsen's Oslo TerraScenery and TerraModels version of Oslo Gardermoen (ENGM) Airport. When "tweaking" the render.ini, I noticed that I am missing some lines that others suggest setting. Hi folks,Earlier today I posted a message about the Gliders.This evening I had the time to try it out myself and I am thrilled.Starting from the platform of Rotterdam Airport I taxied to the the beginning of runway 24.I had chosen two gliders to be avaiable at the airstrip.On the grass near the runway I found two lovely Stemme -gliders.After taking position on the runway I gave command to attach one of the gliders to my P28 (backspace)I could see the glider move and park behind my plane.After a long run WE became airborne and we circled over Rotterdamtill we reached approx. 7000 feet.There I disconnected the glider from my aircraft (ctrl-backspace).Now we were flying and …

I thought I had a fairly stable system record with Fly2.The only crashes to desktop I experience from time to time involve the file autosave.sit.which I simply delete.However I have now discovered that the programe will crash every time I try to use "generate route" with the flight planner. Not that this is really a worry as I generally choose my own route. It is however good to know why things occur. Any ideas? Any similar experience?

Can you get a numeric frame rate result to show up? I've read the FAQs, and followed the steps described below, but all I can get is the graph to appear. Can you not get a numeric read out??? That's the question. FLY2's weather can generate winds aloft through its menu.So I wonder about Infometar's ability to do the same. As far as I can tell Infometar downloads METARs showing only surface winds.So is it possible to incorporate winds aloft like Jeppesen does in FS?Eytan

Where do I download the latest Terramodels Texture Pack??? I've tried to find in in the AvSim files, but must be missing it somehow. I've searched through the forums, but did not find a link.Thanks for your help everyone, as usual. Sure is a lot to learn here. I don't even know the basics of how to "use" terrascenery. I assume I need to download the latest models, but then what do I do? Where do I put "terrascenery" enhanced stuff? Is there a 1-2-3 step guide for "dummies" out there? I got the European version of FLY!2.It came with a patch named Final patch 1.01.87. I installed that, and now on the first FLY startup options screen I see below the number 2.0.197-a bit confusing for me...I didn't install the two supplied video updates, even though I have a GeFroce 2 MX/200 card, because the game runs fine, so why should I get in trouble with an unknown.Then I read the general post at the top of the forum directed at newbies. It recommends installing patch 4, then the 250 patch. Do I really have to if the sim runs OK as is?Or is the 250 patch connected to all the scenery addons that require it first?EytanTJSJ

Hi everyone, I am VERY excited about Fly!2, having just received it in the mail yesterday. I have read the FAQs, performed the patch updates, read Ken Salter's "First Time Flyer" notes, etc. I then did a quick test flight. The departure airport was Willow Run (KYIP) in Michigan. Here is my quick experience:1) Flight model seems accurate for the 1722) Sounds for this plane I really liked 3) I cannot get my Flight Sim Yoke to properly pitch up (elevator up) for some crazy reason. Paul "Bart" Simpson made a number of GA sceneries to go along with the Ohio TerraScene project.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=76031&page=This flight was into Butler County Regional in Hamilton. Paul has done a beautiful job with these airports. The details start out away from the airports (trees in the fields and along highways, small factories and subdivisions, farms, you name it). At the airport you get taxiway signs, hold markings - enough buildings and static scenery to really make a nice environment but goes fairly easy on the frame-rate.
