Hi captains, Excuse me if I'm posting in the wrong forum, but I've been having a strange problem with REX and FSX since a day or so. For some reason, I found my water colors to bright for my taste. To I changed them in REX 2.0 Overdrive, made them darker, actually, very dark. But in FSX it won't change. It's still pretty bright. So this is what I tried: - Different water colors and wave animations - Checked if folders were set correctly, and yes they were. - Deleted the REX folders from Appdata/Local to reset default settings - Reinstalled REX RTM, and then REX Overdrive. Hello everyone, I'm enjoying seeing all the user PC specs and the FPS they are pulling down. And the screenshots all look amazing. But one thing I'm wondering is if these are with or without AI traffic. AI traffic is the only reason I'm playing FSX over XPlane-10. And I don't want to bother buying an expensive PC system if I'm still not going to get good traffic. So, what is you FPS (and your system specs) using AI traffic (such as UT2 at 70% or more)?

Thinking about combining it with Latin VFR's KMIA. There's a demo available. To me, the price looks right. What do you guys think? And what do the locals say? Does it look like your city?

Hi All, I removed several planes from the SimObjects folder including some FSX default planes that I no longer use and saved them to a separate folder. Now the load times to acquire a new plane is much faster. After reading Srdan’s Software Guide I decided to start a new FSX.cfg file as suggested by his guide. I have run into a problem. After giving permissions during a new FSX.cfg, when I get to “free flight the plane lacks any texture, just an outline. That includes any of my payware planes as well. If I replace the new fsx.cfg with my old config. everything is ok. Is this problem caused by removing some of fsx default files form the SimObject folder or is…

Hello friends, I'm curious what AI Plugins you are using. I've been using Radar Contact, which I love, except that it doesn't really do any ground control, and it doesn't have any actual Arrival or Departure routines. Is there a better one out there? -- DK

Well Gents/Ladies, Although the initial release is for FS2004, the BAE146 appears to have been released. After installing Acceleration and starting FSX I was surprised to see no activation screen in order to enter my product key. I started FSX anyway and tried the new aircraft until I got the reminder to activate after using the software for 30 minutes.Then I get "ERROR CODE 1-80004005 We're sorry an unexpected error occurred which is preventing product activation from being completed."I get this error each time I restart FSX and then unfortunately work under the 30 minute time limit. Thinking that this might be a network server issue I waited 24 hr but unfortunately had the same problem. I uninstalled Acceleration, reinstalled and the error message was repeated.I will pr…

I have AFX and note that it has the ability for me to enable or disable take-offs and landings from airport runways. I'm not a scenery designer, so maybe a dumb question- but is configuring runways for take-offs and landings what AFCAD files do also? If so, am I editing an AFCAD file when I edit an airport in this manner? How do AFCAD files and AFX play together? Thanks, Bruce.

Does anyone have the secret to keeping the Premier Eclipse BizJet running? Soon after I load the plane, the Avionics goes out, and engines shut down. I've tried starting it every conceivable way. The Avionics switches are not switchable, and shift+A does nothing. Ctrl+E will not start engines. I've looked for answers on the internet, but can find none. I've even deleted the plane and re-installed it. I like this jet a lot, but haven't been able to fly it for some while. I would appreciate some wise tips on this Raytheon. Thanks. Stan

OK, Just Flight's DC-6 has been out for a while and there are probably many simmers here who own this plane. So, how good is that plane really? I've read the reviews and threads when it came out and tried the demo, and it felt OK (cockpit is too cartoonish, though) but the demo is actually pretty useless, as it is pretty difficult to tell how it operates on flight because of the 1000ft limitation before you lose most of the cockpit. Now, so was the JF Connie praised a lot when it came out, but IMO it is somewhat a disappointment on systems, it is buggy and yet still I've seen even more frame rate friendly and better modeled planes than that. I just bought the RXP 430 and I need to "link" it up too some of the default GPS stuff Carenado makes, I need to edit rxpgns.ini file to do this but I cannot find it anywhere can you guys herlp?

Hi guys, As the title suggests, I'm looking for some static AI aircraft, as moving AI is just too much for my PC. I've done a bit of searching, and found out that you can create the models yourself, which is a bit too much of a hassle for me. Now I was wondering if there was some sort of complete add-on or collection of models, like MyTraffic, but than for static aircraft. Thanks in advance,

Ok , my main install of fsx has gone rubbish , after nearly 2 years of good performance, it was installed on my 1 tb Samsung 7200 spin drive that I have 3 partitions on, 1 for win 7 64 bit main drive with all my other flight games on, another with xp for all my old programs, photo , vid editing , music etc & 3 rd for fsx , fsx drive having win 7 64 bit op & 430 gig. I have now installed a 600 gig velociraptor, so to the question cos there seems to be different opinions, do I leave my win 7 fsx op system as is & install to my raptor from there, or do I do a new op system install on the raptor & then install fsx outside of the c/ program files.thanks for a…

Hi Guys, I've been practicing some approaches by GPS since I bought the RXP. The autopilot on the RV-7 though as I get close it starts a fast warning sound and autopilot goes off. Even after shutting down the plane (landed by hand) the warning sound is still going (and autopilot is still lit up, but disengaged). What I was doing was an approach with the little GPS icon next to it, so it is a GPS approach I think should work... Then I set the autopilot to GPS mode. It follows the approach quite nicely for a while. I am on altitude hold as per the original ATC request. So for the approach I start to increase descent rate on the altitude hold to brin…

Hi There , I have been having trouble trying to play some missions with FSX .When I click on an mission then click on go to breifing the screen freezes. it is ok if I chooses free flight.I also tried to use the tweak for the fsx.cfg file but still does the same thing.. Hi, everyone I've got 40 Euros to spare and would like to buy some nice scenery with that money. I've got all of the ORBX sceneries I'd like to have, so I thought I'd go back to some commercial airports. I've narowed it down to the following: -Washington KDCA by Tropicalsim -Corfu X -Charles de Gaulle -Amsterdam -Rotterdam -Munich all others by Aerosoft. Does anyone know the usual configurations for the runways at KORD (Chicago OHare)? I'm flying in there in RL in a kith, and have the FSDT scenery, and with so many runways and so much traffic, it's cool to fly there in FSX. Most airports have various configurations for take-of and landing runways, and some combinations that they usually use for various wind directions and traffic flows. Thanks for any info, Bruce.

Will someone please explain to me how to know what time it is in Zulu. It is 1229 here and it said zulu time is 1729. What is the conversion? I am trying to file a flight plan on VATSIM and I need to know how to correctly put down the time in zulu.

I am thinking of buying the Global 2010 mesh but I cannot find anything which indicates that it will run on Windows 7 64 bit. Vista and XP I see mentiopned but not Windows 7 I would be grateful if someone would confirm that will run on Windows 7 64, Best wishes, John M.

How is it possible to create the slow outside panning and moving seen in some FSX videos? I have Ezdok but have never been able to get 'World Views' working (has anyone?) Any thoughts most welcome Thanks

Just installed the FSX version of ISD LIRF., I already had the FS9 version. Like to compliment Hamda for re-working this Airport for FSX, have waited a long time to get LIRF for FSX. I have a issue that I have very few jetways, my display settings are fine so I know that is not the problem. Have others this same problem? Have attached a couple of photo's to show what I mean. First photo is FS9 second FSX
