Hi am making this big video for fsx . An i want to do a scene where new aircraft like the 737, 767,777,747 line up in the side of the runway to pay respect for legendary aircraft from the past while the aircraft is lining up to runway for landing. While the other aircraft are line up on the side of the runway waiting for these aircraft to land. So if anyone knows how this can be done please let me know . I just want to record a scene when all these aircraft are line up on the side of the runway waiting for these legendary aircraft to land?

Hello all, I'm having aircraft lighting issues in FSX. Most aircraft lights are working just fine, but some are not, as evidenced in the screenshots I have provided. I tried editing the aircraft.cfg files to no avail, and am wondering if the developer is to blame here. Can anyone help me out? Thank you for any assistance. 1. QWSim 757 2. SkySim DC-9-10 3. Carenado C208B All of the other variations of the aforementioned aircraft types have lighting issues as well; these pics are just samples.

I want to practice landings, and I want to know if theres any addons that can start my aircraft in a direct approach to land at a runway that I can chose.

I've been thinking about adding another plane to my virtual hangar. I really want to get another jet airliner to add to my PMDG MD-11. First thing to say is I don't want to get the PMDG NGX. The reason being (and this may sound crazy) is that I don't want to get something so good that any other addon feels less enjoyable after getting used to it. I'll get it eventually, I just don't want to jump to the ultimate best addon yet :) Anyway, I have a few thoughts, maybe you can guide me better: 1. Captain Sim aircraft, maybe 767. I notice there is only one key F12 that invokes a tail only camera view. I managed to re-assign a combination of ctrl+shift+F1 for a wing view. I would like to know if anyone has a set of key combinations they use for invoking the different camera views. In the same vein there is a little program called 'fscamerax' by Gunnar Daehling that will generate camera view text files for inserting in the aircraft cfg file. It looks pretty good although I haven't put it the test yet. Any input will be appreciated. Paul

I only have default scenery in Europe and wan't advice to which addons to choose to enhance Europe in the best way? Notice that my system is not high end so performence is important. Also I can't spend much money so buying everything is no option. I intend to fly airliners in Europe. For low VFR I have ORBX in USA and Australia. So how do I best spend money? GEX Europe or UT Europe? Any good airports freeware or payware?

Recently, I experience yet another unstable loading of FSX. It load up until default flight screen but with no Airplane in the picture, only black screen. After trying all methods rescuing(i.e. deleting the cfg/xml files etc) without reinstalling FSX. I failed to get it start. At the end I went on to reinstall FSX. After installing a fresh copy of FSX. It work fine booting up to default flight with animated airplane picture this time. So I thought, yay I fixed it! Next, I reboot and do the Nick's step by step installation guide with add on. I have the following mods REX GEX UTX EZDock Accufeel When i load a default mission there's nothing, no voices no compass pointer no mission just pretty much free flight mode.

Greetings: Recently I noticed that polygons/areas begin to flash on the screen. As an example, when you take off part of the scenery will flash quickly. I thought it maybe related to flashing clouds and made the swamcloud.fx fix and deleted the FXheaderHILC MISC folders, but the issue is still there. Any ideas? I am using ORBX scenery. Is there such thing as a Air Traffic Controller addon for FSX? Like something similar to the built in fsx ATC, but more realistic and improved?

When looking at a route on Flightaware, it says ONTN16. How do I interpret that route?

Orbx + Godzone's "Real Nelson" along with Rex 2.0 plus Open Clouds injector and of course, the King Air. A happy mornings flying.

Just a quick heads up for anyone who was waiting for it, the 737-100 expansion for JF's 737-200ADV is now available. It does seem to be purely a visual add-on, so it doesn't have freaky 100 series stuff like the inflatable gear doors with the extra gear light or anything like that, but there are some nice paint jobs with it, including the prototype 737 which NASA eventually bought - Costs 9.99 (Sterling) but I threw some of my JF loyalty points at it and got it for less than a fiver. Hey all, I've been trying to look around for some repaints of the Default C-172 with gear fairings and I found some, but I'm not sure how I can install them into the C-172 file with the Real Air 172 flight dynamics file, would it be the same as installing just another texture for any other plane? Or would it be incompatible because it'd be a the texture for the default C-172 only?

Hey guys just a little tip for all you guys who uses REX 2.0 with Online Weather Update . Not to long ago i started seeing that my FPS was droping an i couldn't find out why. So then i started looking at my FSX performance before an now. So i notice a change when rex is updating the weather using the internet. My FPS goes down for moment an then comes back up. So i said mmm that strange. So i desided to increase the mile range like to 600nm. This solve kind of my problem it stop rex from updating the weather like every minute. The more rex updated the weather the more FPS drops specially with the pmdg737 ngx. So if you guys experience lost of FPS out out no where. Well y…

I want to know what all the best airplanes are that are available for FSX. And by non-commercial, I mean smaller aircraft of course. I have too many airliners and now i want some smaller fun planes. Just list them (paywares please or Freeware if theyre very good). I will literally go and get every plane that you guys list thanks!

Just had a thought while reading through a thread. In the thread the person was having trouble controlling a fairly complex and large aircraft, and it makes you wonder, are we sometimes trying to put the cart before the horse? I know a lot of people in FSX who can program a FMC and know their way around an MCP like they were born with one. Many of these same people also have NO idea how to fly the basics. It's a simulator, and people can do as they wish, however I am always concerned when someone spends hundreds of dollars on expensive complex airline addons and don't know the basic fundamentals of flight, and would be challenged by the lowliest of Piper Cubs. Trying to manually control the rate of climb as expressed by the vertical speed indicator by pitch alone produces excesses , both up and down. Is there a key command or .cfg mod which can give me an assist ? Using the trim wheel alone in my tail dragger does not provide sufficient control . Thanks, Jack

...and I am not referring to Batman! I recently reinstalled FSX after a long break and am back flying. I have GEX, FEX and UTX running. At night, the sim is very bright. The sky still has a blue color and the green on the ground is still easily visible from lower altitudes. I searched the forums and tried the enb mod which was suggested. That helped a bit, but there's still too much color in the sky. Are there any other ways to improve the night in FSX? I want a dark sky and dark ground. (other than turning down the brightness on my monitor). Night time looked great in fs9.

Afternoon all, It seems that I have a problem with adding addon scenery to FSX. Ordinarily this has worked fine until now. Upon entering the scenery library, I select the folder and click within the dialog box to add the scenery to the library. This all works fine and the scenery appears in my list of addon scenery. I click ok to close the scenery library and FSX builds a new scenery database. I load FSX and the scenery hasnt loaded....I go back to the scenery library and the scenery is now not present in the list, despite successfully adding it previously. So i try again and this time rather than try to load a flight, i go back to the scenery library and …

Hello, Apparently we will see a release of ORBX scenery for the European environment later this year. Maybe current users of ORBX would care to enlighten me. Is ORBX compatible with add-ons like Ultimate Terrain and GEX or do they exclude each other? And If they are compatible, what does ORBX add? Thanks. Regards, René

I have a weird problem at a couple of airports (which happen to be from the same developer, though I'm not sure if that's significant). Often (not every time) I fly into or out of these airfields, the runway and taxiways disappear ahead of and around my aircraft - it's like there is some kind of 'force field' extending a few hundred yards round my aircraft which erases runways and taxiways around me as I move. The underlying grass (and other 3D objects) remain visible. Anyone seen anything like this before ? Any idea how to fix ? I've looked at the airfields in question using ADE9X and can't spot anything different from other airfields that work fine.

Here's a first for me...I've been slowly installing AI aircraft into FSX after re-installing everything due to a computer upgrade. I have noticed at Fly Tampa TNCM and St. Barths that some AI aircraft are showing a shadow in their parking spot however you can't see an actual plane or any textures. When it's time to depart the shadow actually moves like a plane is there and I can see a strobe light as well. At first I thought it was one particular airline and I found a mistake in the texture folder name which I corrected but now I have some others from the same model that aren't showing up (which is the HTAI BN-2 Islander). I was wondering if anyone knows where to locate the files for the pushback trucks in fsx. The trucks are missing when I pushback. I have no idea where they went. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Anthony
