I want to start getting some new airport addons so let me know whats the best out there. thanks!

This question is regarding the FSX default ATC, which I’m aware is superseded in many other add-ons/services such as RC, VATSIM, etc. I always manually change my radio frequencies, although that is possible through the ATC pop-up in FSX. But once I’m on a new frequency, the responses to ATC (or requests such as a new runway to land on, etc.) are all menu driven from that ATC pop-up window. Many of them default to the “1” key, and as such I have used FSUIPC to link the variable “ATC 1” to a button on my CH yoke. Any of you bought the vertigo rv8 and how is it ? I mean detail/system fidelity fps and all that ? Any opinion of course appreciated.

I just installed southern California by MegaSceneryX and so far its looking good. Heres LAX at night from above. And I was wondering if there is a certain way to put your settings for these scenery grahics to show up as Clean & Clearly as possible.

I tried to google for FSX Australia mesh, but couldn't find any with 30m or better resolution. Anyone found good one?

The 530 or the 430? Which one fits into more add on planes? I'm a bit of a payware snob, so all I fly are payware planes presently. Ones I own that I feel are candidates for the RXP. Eaglesoft Citation II (530) Carenado C90B (530 or 430?) Digital Aviation Cheyenne (430) I'm also looking to add the RealAir Beech Duke (both piston and turboprop) So which unit would be the more useful in your opinions, I know both is probably the best way to go... but for now which one to get?

my FSX ground flickers around the edges of trees and surface. Its like the edges of all the ground graphics flicker and I want to make it as smooth as possible. Thanks.

I dont see this anywhere on my CFG file, do i just copy and paste it in there under the Graphics area?

I am trying to find out certification required to fly flights from south Florida to the carribean. If I understand correctly ETOPS certification is only required if an aircraft will be away from an appropriate airfield for a landing with one engine inop of more that 60 minutes. Since this is unlikely on most routes does a flight from say FLL to St. Thomas require ETOPS certification or does the aircraft just need life vests and life rafts for pax and crew? Or because some routes could take you outside of 60 minutes would the certification still be required? Thanks, *Mods if this is not the best forum please move it.

Ive recently thought about the fact of listening to real ATC inside FSX. I could just open a browser window, with liveatc playing in the background, but I wonder, is there some sort of actual program which will inject liveatc.net feeds in FSX, depending on the area where one is situated/flying around? This would greatly enhance the immersion factor. Any ideas?

I want something that feels realistic and id prefer it to look realistic as well, but I want it to move relaticly and not feel like im moving plastic. Whats out there?

This may have been covered before but for years I have noticed at various times that when I park an aircraft like the default King Air then press the shift + E key to open the passenger door it opens then closes right away. This is something that seems to come and go and has been going on in FSX for years now. Does anyone have a clue what causes this and a fix? Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a decent CT-4 for FSX, preferably the B model? I recently had about 15 real world hours including full aeros while flight screening for the RAAF and I'd love to try and emulate some of what I did in FSX. I know there is a payware CT-4E for FS9 but I haven't found anything for FSX. Thanks

I recently purchased Wilco 777 and to date I am pleased with the product. My problem is that when I sign on to FSX I get the following message that appears twice; 'Multiple objects with the same title name.They must have unique names.Boeing 777-223ER British Airways.Sim objects\Airplanes\Feel There B772ER' I downloaded the original Wilco 777 and then added the British Airways model. However,in the aircraft cfg there is only one model and not two i.e.the ba one. I also do not have any other BA 777 in my airplanes folder. I am therefore wondering what I need to do to get rid of the warning sign. I would appreciate any help/advice.

I know its suppose to be photo realistic HighRes scenery, but it really doesnt look so great. Anyone know how to setup the settings to make it look right? Mine doesnt look anything like the screenshots ive seen of it. Im pretty sure that i just dont have my fsx graphics settings setup correctly.

Hi everyone, I've been playing FS for a while now (since 2002) and recently moved up to FSX (on a different machine ofcourse) and whilst it looks great, I get a steady 30FPS(locked in FSX) in default planes in less intensive areas. However when I get in something like the NGX VC around Manchester I get a sluggish 10-15fps. So I am wondering if it's time for a major overhaul of my system. My specs are: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 ~ 2.5ghz 6GB DDR2 800 RAM 160gb hdd for windows, 80gb hdd for FSX and 1tb hdd for data. HD4650 1gb DDR2 OC. Hi guys , I would like to start fly a bit more IFR with light aircrafts and i am searching for the Ultimate Twin \ Single aircraft . The requirements : Not too slow Somewhere in the cockpit that i will see the flap settings ( not like the piper seneca that you have to look to the flap lever , thats not comfortable ) . Seriously, though, I am trying to set up a new computer, and after many "two steps forward, one step back" kind of dealies, I am getting close to my old set of add-ons, adapted to the machine, of course. But, I cannot seem to get the "external fps limiter" to install? I download it, unzip it with Winrar evaluation copy, and it seems as if it just "flashes" for an instant, and that's the end of it? When I had this utility on my old Vista64 computer, there was a shortcut (actually quite a few) created on the desktop, nothing like that this time. Running W7 64bit now. I know I risk being labelled a JF ######, with 2 positive posts in one day about them, but I just had to say that the DC-6B is an absolute blast! It is not a 'perfect' aircraft but IMO all the important aspects are done right, and it just flies exactly how I'd expect DC-6 to fly.I flew the aircraft from Invercargill to Christchurch (41mins) in New Zealand, at 17,000 flying IFR. The aircraft is just such fun to hand fly and manage in the air. Having a basic AP a lot of the vertical movement is done manually, but unlike most releases that try to emulate this, the DC-6 can be trimmed beautifully for climb, descent and even cruise. Hey Guys, I've noticed this weird smoke thingy underneath my NGX 738 aircraft during a flight from YSSY-YMML, Please have a look at the attachment, the smoke is highlighted within the circles, the big one is the majority of it whereas the smaller ones are like droplets, this vapor/smoke thingy just keeps breaking up, drops, and on and on and on. it happens at all altitudes, FL370 and 9000ft. I never had this kinda thing before, I noticed it this time after I had FSX minimized for 20mins or so, which may have caused it, cz previously I would monitor FSX throughout the flight.
