Having been persuaded by Flight to finally invest in pedals only to see Flight bite the dust, am now getting used to FSX again. Only to find my pedals seem to be permanently braking and I have to activate the toe brakes to release them, no matter if I have the 'reverse' box checked in controller options. Any fix for this? On a separate note, they don't seem to influence the flight much although they direct the plane fine on the ground. Was that one thing Flight just modeled better?

Any hints on why this happened? Have FSX Golden installed, then Aerosoft Twin Otter, KatanaX, DiscusX and RealAir SF260. Also the latest version of FSUIPC. Apparently everything was fine until I installed the Twin Otter or the Katana, not sure, because I don't recall having the vertical speed indicator stuck at 0 before (?)...

My FSX install had been running smoothly with few errors and providing pretty good FPS – at least they made me happy. I was having occasional problems with what I thought was enbseries. At times the sun would be intensely bright with a shimmering corona around it. At other times scenery was very dark even in bright no cloud daylight. When I used Shift+F12 to turn off enbseries the problems would stop. I wanted to test FSX with no enbseries installed so I followed the instructions: “Put this content in to MS FSX main directory. Start Flight Sim. For disable effect, press SHIFT+F12 or remove this files from simulator directory.” I deleted d3d9.dll and enbs…

Hi all I'm a relatively new fsx user, I've been playing fsx for a few months on my old windows machine and am thinking of installing windows on my iMac (27" iMac i5 ) using bootcamp. I've read through the forums and understand this can be done. Hi guys was playing FSX. I thinked that i fixed Fatal error thing by using ui automationcore.dll but after some minutes it said. "Thank you for using the Trail version of FSX" I have FSX gold (FSX Deluxe and acceleration) and i registered it. But activate.exe is not working tried entering my activation codes in the .txt files with no good i got error code 4-80070003 HELP ME

I like flying the 767, but haven't found any good freeware ones. I have the PMDG 737 and I really like the quality of their products, but unfortunately they haven't made a 767. I'm looking at the Level-D 767 and the CLS 767, but not sure which one is better. Anyone have any suggestions? They don't have to be Level-D or CLS, those are just the two that I know of.

All, Today I bought aivlasoft EFS and charged my navigraph account in hope of increasing my charting and instrumental flights abilities. I had two different experiences with them. I am flying PMDG 737 that is a piece of art in its modelling and specially FMS. Navigraph was very useful specially by its ability to print the chart that let me to have the charts separately and reading them comfortably while flying. It gives kinda of realistic experience. The charts are complete and for me affordable as I don't need many of them. Enroute maps are more expensive but again I need only 2 of them for now. Aivlasoft EFS was disappointment in several ways. i hope this isnt the wrong part of the forum to post this. I am having a weird problem when i add or remove weights in the different payload stations in any aircraft in fsx. If i change a value, it automatically goes back to the default weight values and stations after about a second. However, i can still add and remove fuel. Does anyone else have this problem? I trried removing Abacus carrier task force, as i thought it might have something to do with it for some reason, turns out it had no effect. Any ideas?

With the recent release of some really great freeware such as the Basler BT-67 and KPHL from Sunskyjet I thought it may be appropriate to get some input from the community on what is the best freeware out there. Whether it be Aircraft, Scenery, Texture Enhancement etc it would be nice to compile a list of freeware must haves. It might also help potential resent migrators to FSX pick up some great freeware that otherwise may have remained undiscovered to them. For me I really like Dino Cattaneo's T-45 Goshawk. What are your freeware must haves?

Guys, I have been looking for my first Jet and am considering the Raytheon Beechjet 400A. I am looking for a less complicated ship to get my feet wet in Jets. Any comments on this choice? Can you install the Reality GNS530 in the Beech? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I have a small issue with my sim. The day ends way too quickly. Its 7:42 here in socal and its still light outside, but on FSX its like pitch black! Is there any way to change this? Thanks Jason

Having had a look around the forum titles, this seems the most appropriate one to ask my question. Please don't shout at me if it isn't! Does anyone know how to get into the bowls of FSX and alter the distance that ATIS broadcasts are set to appear. In many cases, they seem to be very unrealistic. Many thanks Terry Gale

Sorry for the slightly misleading title, but it highlights a problem that I have with a handful of AI planes. In short, they look like they have rocket engines when in flight! I started a short flight last night, banked to the left to head for my destination, and noticed an AI plane with what looked like flames shooting out of the back. I have slewed up close to one or two in the past, and it is actually more like a series of afterburner "pulses" coming out of the engines.....except that the handful of planes that I have seen this problem with do not have afterburners. In fact, I saw this problem with a Lockheed Electra! Does anyone know what is going on here, and how…

Hello all ! Normally I never post on forums, because I search and change in the deepest files/codes of FSX to fix my problems, but today I am just getting mad... Since I have a new computer running windows seven (I had windows XP on the previous one), I am installing and configuring all my add-ons and hardwares for FSX since yesterday... I'm asking in the PMDG board because PMDG staff and users are knowledgeable in this area. I have my FSX.cfg tweaked/tuned and it's working pretty well. Unfortunately, the infamous sound crackling is now happening for whatever reason. Since a higher bufferpool is know to hope, I was hoping for some advice on what to use for this. My graphics card is a 2gb Galaxy GTX 670. My current bufferpools section: [bufferPools] RejectThreshold=131072 Any ideas?

RW Weather is not the strongest feature in FSX... Now that I have FSX Gold installed I would really like to get a nice weather depiction, not that much from the grpahical view but more from the meteorlogical POV. Hey guys, This is a strange problem I've only just started noticing. On approach, in fact on a close final to landing at some airports, my aircraft will bank sharply to the left and becomes uncontrollable. When I say it banks, I mean it goes from straight and level to about 60 or 70 degree bank in about 2 seconds without any input from the control column. The aircrafts yoke does NOT move when it happens and any attempts to control the aircraft with yoke fail to effect the aircraft. Whats strange is that it only happens when within around 300 feet of the ground and I've only had it happen at a few airports. It does it frequently at FDTS KJFK and occasionally at Aer…

Hello everyone, I have been wondering about this question for a while now, does Boeing still develop the 747-400 if a company asked for one to be made? I know that the airlines have stopped ordering them for many many years now but I don't know much about the cargo side, do cargo companies still order 74Fs? Or is it all 748s now? I've just been curious about it, wondering if ever a rich aviation enthusiast said to Boeing, "I don't care about fuel costs, I just love the 747-400 and want a new one made for me", and if Boeing would do it. It seems like my E190 can't cruise at an altitude higher than FL330 or 340. When I try to cruise at like 370 or even 350, the plane pitches up trying to maintain speed and altitude and it feels like its going to stall and fall out of the sky. Did I miscalculate something or should I just cruise at a lower altitude from now on? Thanks

Even with maxed out aircraft settings, it looks like...........CRAP. I have zero add-ons and everything is stock.
