I would like some opinions from the community, regarding the quality of TropicalSim FSX sceneries. I am interested only in jetliner (not GA) airports. Usually, for developers that I own nothing coming from them, and have more than one scenery, I'm a little reluctant to invest money on them, especially if screenshots from their products (ie on SimMarket) do not seem of enough quality to me. Hi, Is there a way to have VLC withing FSX so I can watch movies and TV? Also will it hurt my FSX performance? Thanks!

New to FSX. In FS9 we just had ground environment pro, which took care of textures for the entire world. Now there's GEX Europe, Africa, etc. Does this mean you have to purchase each one? Or could you install GEX Europe, and those textures would also appear say if you were flying over America or Asia? Thanks

Yes, we've all seen them. I like to call them white fluffy trails of wonder as I sit outside in the sunset looking up at the sky only to see a great line of beauty cutting it all in half. Sometimes you can spot the airplane in the sky, sometimes you can't. Some leave big great blobs behind, while some others disappear. Whatever it is, all I know is the sight of contrails of planes just make me jump to FSX to see my NGX leaving off it's own contrails. From a grounds view, sometimes I take my binoculars and look at the plane, as I watch the contrails 'puff' outwards from the engines. I don't know what else to call it, but it just about bursts outward of the engine…

Hello, I am experiencing BEX/stackhash crashes whenever I try to load any RealAir aircraft (I own both versions of the Duke and the Legacy). Never had this issue until recently. I get them regardless of having DEP disabled or enabled. I am running FSX Acceleration with Windows 7 64. The recent changes to my install include cloning my old FSX SSD to a new, larger SSD (both are Crucial M4's). I also have recently installed Aerosoft Las Vegas X and Antartica X, as well as the most recent update to the FSDT AddOn manager. Just throwing this out there for any suggestions and to see if anyone else has resolved a similar issue.

Anyone try this yet? I have downloaded and installed the demo. I use two computers, one for FSX and the other for Plan-G, FSINN, REX, TS3, and now Panel Builder. The gauges work smoothly and there is no apparent impact on my FSX frames. I am favorably impressed at this point. For about $50 US, it might be a nice addition. Haven't tried it with helos, in that, the demo doesn't provide helo specific gauge access. However, there are helo gauges in the full versions gauge library. Very much looking forward to other's experiences.

I suppose not but is the Legacy only meant to be flown during summer...? I must be missing something obvious but I can't complete a flight with the plane in winter... Shortly after take off manifold pressure goes down to zero no matter what I do. What am I doing wrong? I don't see any buttons I could press to avoid this from happening. Bummer... it's a bad day for simming: I planned on buying the RXP GNS 530 and AirHauler but I have second thoughts on both (bummer 1 and bummer 2) so I decided to forget about it all and do a relaxed flight with the Legacy and now it won't fly... (bummer 3). Sometimes I hate flight simming.

Is there any way to change the SHIFT+Z font and/or color.. Any ideas...?? I didn't find any answers on searching this forum.. Thanks

I would have posted this to their support forum, but it says "registration disabled" so I have to post this here. I have tried to follow tutorials and gotten through to climbout part. I have aligned INS and set my route and waypoint can be seen on INS panel. However when I try to engage NAV button it fails to do so and thus I can't rollow my route. I have GPS mode set too...

I am fooling around with FSPassengers a little and wonder if anyone has some sort of profile for using the RealAir Legcay with it. I know they have a forum but it's a bit quiet there and I think I will get a response here sooner. Anyone here who owns and uses both?

I think that FSX navaids have too much range, according to what I've read in wikipedia... it states that the range is limited to the horizon but also gives some ranges passing 100nm as well... dont understand. Hi all, Whenever I use the Airbus X, its load manager, GSX and VAFS5 after a few minutes the lights on the buttons on the overhead panel extinguish. Following that, it seems the vacuum system fails and the engines won't start. The artificial horizon on the PFD will slowly rotate and move into the blue positive section. Yes I do have the APU and ground power on and since I rebuilt my FSX partition on my PC it has not been the same. I had a few days where it was all working well, then it just stopped working. If I notice the overhead panel lights going off, I start an engine and it rectifies the problem. When I turn the engine off it's just a waiting game until it does it…

Hi, Just today when I loaded FSX, during my flight I noticed green spirals in the sky. They are everywhere. I have never seen them before, they are not causing any issues but they are annoying. Has anyone seen these before?They run vertically. thanks for any ideas Doug Morlan

I have installed a few AFCADS for some default airports and have a few questions. Most install to the fsxroot/addon scenery folder. There is no requirement to delete the existing afcad, if there is one? Does an afcad in the fsxroot/addon scenery folder overide any other afcad? I assume most addon scenery airports come with their own afcad so no need to install one for them? What is the best way to track afcads so there aren't multiple afcads installed as I understand this can cause problems. Thanks!

While I am enjoying how FSX Gold performs on my new system, I know I have started the wrong way when during installation I forgot to choose a different folder from the default "C:\Programs(x86)". The sim itself installed OK, and some of the add-on aircraft to, as well as FSUIPC, but some configuration programs for add-on aircraft from Flight1 and Aerosoft are useless unless I run them as admin. This is really no problem and I can easily create a shortcut to do it, but I wonder if there are any other known problems with this type of installation in Windows 7. Not usually one for pre ordering unless of course someone like PMDG, but have faith in my past experience with Pheonix and their new guise of Blackbox and the Airbus A319/A320 that is due for release hopefully in the next 24 hours. Any one else ordered it so far? It looks on their facebook page great and we have been missing a descent Airbus in FSX. My faith is in the Airbus they produced for FS9 which still holds up today in dynamics. Not perfect but for a product released years ago was ground breaking at the time. Time will tell though...
