Love the new (old already?, new for me) Duke Turbine v1.2 However, i have a couple problems. Manual says both instrument and flood lights can be turned on seperately using the "roller" switches under the yoke, but these do nothing for me. Only the flood lights work using the default fsx shortcut-key command. Both Nav1 and Nav2 radio identifiers (named wrong?) are inop. ADF works though. Any remedies I did a forum search but came up empty so far. Allen

Hi, Could I please have some help to find a nice aircraft carrier for FSX. Payware or freeware. Also a "fighter" jet (s) that is really well done reagardless of whether it should land on a carrier or not. For the Jet the virtual cockpit and flight dynamics are the most important Many thanks BP76

Hi, I was just curious what you guys are using for a zoom level if using widescreen. I find myself setting it at about 78 or so then using EZCA to adjust inside the cockpit. It is really hard to tell distance while looking outside even if you know the approximate distance to say an airport. Just curious what some of you are using. Bob

Hi Folks. I'm trying to Install FSX. The first disk downloads fine, but everytime I reach the file scenery/world 045B2sp2.bmp, of the second disk, the whole thing just freezes and will not download any further. Is there anything I can do to kinda jog the install past this glich? Thanks John

Hi everyone. I don't normally post on forums for help because, most of the time, I don't need it. I've finally been met with a problem that I cannot solve on my own, however, so I'm hoping you all may be able to assist me with it. Two years ago when I had my computer built for me, I made sure that the right parts would be put in so that it would run FSX the right way. By the right way, I mean that it would look good, and I would get good frames. Most of the time, this was the case, but recently, my FSX as taken a serious hit. Hi all, This is the strangest problem in FSX I've ever came across, and I don't have a clue what might have caused it. In my screenshots you can see that only a few aircraft are showing up in the aircraft selection dialog. PMDG only shows it defaults liveries, and even default FSX aircraft are missing. I've checked the aircraft.cfg files, but nothing has changed in there, numbering is still correct. Furthermore some items in the add-ons menu have disappeared. I think 8 items or so were listed here, but now only 2 are left. I don't know whether it is related to this, but other third-parties add-ons like AES and the FSDreamTeam add-on manager don't work anymore…

After inputting a flightplan in the FMC and setting up the autopilot in nav mode, the autopilot won't follow the FMS. I have to hand fly it. The flight director seems to indicate the proper path but the autopilot won't follow it either. I've got the right bearing source selected on the PFD. The AP will follow the GPS if I use it instead of the FMC. Anybody have any idea of what I am or am not doing? Can't figure this one out. Before anybody asks, I have already posted this problem over in the Eaglesoft forum almost a month ago with not a peep from anyone. Sure could use some guidance here. Thanks. Jim

Hey guys, Due to lack of something (funding, interest, maybe even my mind ) I didn't think about buying the RealAir Legacy until sometime last weekend. We've already heard the general consensus, and mine is nothing different, I just feel "there" while flying this thing. Just one question... Where in the world is the elevator trim control? I can see the indicator clear as day, but no control is found... Also, has anyone found any noticeable differences in P-factor and Torque between the RealAir settings(half) and full right slider

Greetings, I spent the last week rebuilding my FSX rig. <RANT> Man that simconnect is silly </RANT> I have the ORBX PNW/Northern Rockies/CRM installed. I also have UTX USA installed. How do I know which is active when I'm flying around the ORBX areas? Is there a way to tell FSX that ORBX should take priority? When I did the install I did ORBX first then UTX. Hi all, I'm brand new to avsim, and this is my first post. I've been enjoying MS Flight Simulator since version '98 while using the MS Force Feedback joystick. What fun it was then, and what fun it still is now (of course now I'm using FSX with a yoke!). I'm planning on building a new desktop system within the next month or so, and I'm trying to research what kind of hardware would be best in terms of CPU and GPU. One would think that anything that you could buy new today would be more than adequate for a game that was developed three or so years ago, but I know that's not the case with FSX! Hello, I downloaded the Posky 777-200LR off of the library here. Great aircraft, particularly combined with a new panel I found. One issue I have with it, is that I am a real world airline pilot and the takeoff/climb performance of this airplane is very unrealistic. While the real 777 has a great deal of power, the FS version is significantly overpowered, perhaps near to twice as much. I tried a max gross weight takeoff and it performed about like a real one would empty. Has anyone come across some updated FDEs or does anyone know how to edit this in the aircraft.cfg? Hi everyone This is my first time using Window 7 Utimate 64 bit an i have recently puchase UT2. The problem i don't understan is that when ever i try to save Weekly Traffic it all goes well until a start up UT2 again to check the settings it goes back to Daily Traffic. Every add on or software i run i make sure i run it as run admin setting. Then when i am try to load the pmdg 737ngx as cold an dark cockpit for start up. It does not safe also i have read the manual it doesn't say nothing about that or maybe i skip something. I have also lower the user setting like it was said in the UT2 manual. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am using an AMD 5750 1GB graphics card with a viewsonic VA1901wm monitor. The Maximum resolution supported by the monitor is 1366*768. Until i installed the drivers for my monitor i was able to use a maximum resolution of 1360*768 in windows 7 screen resolution settings. But installing the drivers solved that problem and now i am using 1366*768. But 1366*768 resolution is not available in display settings in fsx. The maximum available is 1360*768. So how can i set the fsx resolution to 1366*768?

Any of you with Active Sky who enjoy flying around South Africa should try using the historical weather to fly today (7 August). I'm still recovering from the sheer novelty of departing Johannesburg in the snow. I've lived here for most of my life and while snow is common on the mountain peaks at this time of year, seeing it on the streets of our cities is madness! It last happened about 15 years ago but not like this.

I saw Megascenery Earth for Washington, and that would be perfect. But I'm not sure if it includes Point Roberts since it's basically part of Canada. If anyone knows of any sceneries for the Point Roberts area or if anyone has tried megascenery earth, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I purchased REX Essential for FSX last week and I haven't been able to successfully open the file after it finishes downloading. I have tried downloading the file 7 times and every time after it finishes and I try to open it, it gives me a message that says the file is corrupt of invalid and cannot be opened. I have tried using download managers and external drives all with the same result. I have tried contacting REX directly but their phones are always busy, they won't return my messages, and they won't return my emails. I just want to get this downloaded and installed already. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

I've been getting frustrated lately with all the PDFs floating around my computer, and clicking through them all the time to switch back and forth. Also I want a single source rather than searching the net for charts depending upon which country it is. Ideally an app that stores or manages them, and I was looking at Aivlasoft. But I found out it doesn't use real charts - it renders its own based upon navigraph data. An interesting concept.. You guys that have it - can you give your opinion how much these renders are looking like real charts? Are they practically the same? Is there anything missing from them? Are the annotations and symbols used correct same …

Hello everyone, I don't know in which forum to put this, so I post it here: I have just reinstalled FSX and wanted to activate FS Passengers X. Unfortunately, the activation process won't work and their site is down (403 error). Does anyone know what's going on? Cheers Edit: 403 error
