Hey, I recently updated my drivers from 180.XX series for my NVIDIA GeForce 330 to the 301.XX drivers and when I enable AA in Inspector my FPS go from around 20 at Heathrow in the NGX to 7 or 8FPS. This has only happened since I updated my drivers and switched from nHancer to Inspector. I am using the 4x Multisample setting, the same on I used in Inspector. Any advice or should I revert back?

Yes... I want one more of these ATC-tips threads... The ones that exist are pretty old I think so I think it could be about time to refresh this... Is there any "working" ATC-Addons for FSX?... What i want is that it should be able to follow a "real world route" with airways and such also that it could handle SID and STARS... not only "allow you to fly a SID/STAR without interfering but also hand you an appropriate sid/star at the correct point during your flight. It should also be able to interact with the AI trafic at the airport... Radar contact is the one that im using at the moment, but that isnt capable of handing you SID and STARS... it just "allows" …

Ok, so now that I am back at FSX, and very happy with it, I am also back to find "the perfect Airbus A319/20/21". In the past I have used Phoenix, then Wilco's Airbus Collection (1st edition). Then, after being away for so long, I really need advice on what to get. - Should I still get my Wilco installers for the original Airbus collection A319/20/21? - What about the "Black Box" offer - I suppose it's Phoenix reborn.... - There is also something from "FlightSim Labs" in the works... should I wait? - What about the one from Aerosoft? I read it's basic (?) Any suggestions welcome! Thx in advance ;-)

So basically the only airplanes I fly anymore are Airbuses, and I want a stick that I can use with my left hand. Is there anything out there that closely simulates an airbus joystick?

Just installed a Saitek Pro Flight rudder (and go all over the place as I learn how to use them). In the meantime, my daughter is just learning the fundamentals so she needs to use the brake button on the Saitek Yoke. I'm having a hard time keeping the yoke braking feature operational. I'll start out with both the differential brakes and the yoke brakes operational (I think), but soon the yoke brakes don't seem to work. I will also confess that I am learning how to set up the control configs too, so that could be part of it. Anyway, would appreciate any suggestions, lessons learned, config recommendations, braking jokes, etc. Thanks! B)

Recently, I have been having a problem where FSX FPS goes into the single digits and emits a static sound. I don't have a top of the line system, but its decent.FSX runs smoothly when this problem isn't happening. Any suggestions? Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk 2

But most aircraft only use five "lever" type controls. (from left to right in the cockpit) parking brake speed brake throttle flaps gear handle I have been struggling for months now what to set my 6th lever to and I just can't figure out what to use it for. I've tried the tiller axis (for ground steering) but you can't really feel the center position so the planes always ends up in the grass. Just saw this ad for the GLV2000 whilst browsing the boards...http://www.fsd-international.com/avsimsale.htm Anyone got/seen/used it in a VC yet? (as opposed to a 2D panel) Any good? I got the fs2x G1000 and whilst a great product, it is broken and the guy seems to have vanished in a puff of smoke..all emails go to the bin etc...Wouldn't want to do it again... Thanks

I've been searching the forums but I'm obviously not that good at it. Can you or can you not fix some/most fs9 aircrafts using something like Photoshop for DX10 Preview to render them properly? I know there's addon converter but if I can do it myself, I would rather. Also, every time I searched all I saw where people complaining about dx10 preview and their advice was turn it off. I like it and it gives me a big boost in fps so I'm not looking to turn it off. I'll even continue to fly in DX10 Preview without the textures if I have to but I'd rather not. Someone please point me in the right direction if you can.

I have seen more and more scenery that has been released as "Photo Real". Though the ground scenery is a photo of a satelite image; it looks very blury and washed out. It almost looks like the autogen or ground textures didn't load. For me this takes away from realism. I have seen this in cockpits as well. There are quite a number of developers that create textures and scenery that model the real thing and they are very sharp crisp and clear. What is everyones opinion on this?

Hi. I'm planning on buying REX and ORBX soon. In addition, I want to get UTX or GEX, but I don't know which one is the better of the two and compatible with REX and ORBX. Could someone explain to me the differences between them and which one you prefer? Thanks.

The Virtavia website is back up, and it seems that they have released a new and much more detailed F-111 for FSX. The cockpit looks quite spectacular. Nice to see that the F-111 lives on in FSX!

Hi everyone for some reason i have the black screen problem that i never had before. I have seen numbers of post of this issue but i think minds is a little bit different . Because most of the solution to this problem i already have . For example many user said that having the UIAutomationCore.dlll solve their problem. But i already have that in my FSX directory . Other user said that having the HIGHMEMFIX =1 in their fsx.cfg fix their problem. I also have that in my fsx.cfg. Hi, How do I make the "orb" of a camera smaller? When moving external custom cameras created in EZDOK, if I get too close to the model, I take a "bite" out of it. The camera seems to have a large invisible, model-eating radius..Is there any way of minimising this or is it just something I have to live with? I know I can get as close as possible and then zoom in my view, but this induces "depth-of-field" with the scenery behind or through whatever I'm looking at..trying to avoid this. I can move a VC camera outside the AC and it can get right up to the skin of whatever is modelled outside the VC in the VC view (with the Legacy, it's a slightly lower rez mo…

I have been a flight sim fan since the late 80s. I lost interest in FSX until recently. MS flight re-ignited my life long ambition to get my private pilots license. I am now 3 lessons in on that adventure and so glad I started. FSX has been loaded on my system since the day built it. I went back and found my home airport... KFIT Fitchburg, MA. Although the flying was far from as real as MS Flight or flying a real Cessna 172, the detailed realism on airports and cockpits let me practice before every lesson. I have only 20GB left on my 500GB SSd on which FSX is on. I have 30 GB left on a second SSD 250GB which contains scenery and other files which don't mind not being on the main C: Drive. I have two last gen 250GB REAL SSD's from Crucial and would like to know how to go about creating a "raid 0 " using these two drives and then transfeering FSX onto them to create not only more space but a faster Read. Hello, Guys! I need Pakistan International Airline's well repaint and fully proper textured airplanes that I want to install in my FSX Deluxe edition. I've searched a lot but 9 out of 10 airplanes are not installed on FSX. They are of FS 2004 perhaps. One is 747-400, which has no voice and no radio on FSX. So please tell me the exact URL's of PIA's B747-400, B777 and B737 and these must be well installed on FSX and with proper voice and textures etc... I hope you experienced people will give me the exact URL's.instead of telling hiw and where to search etc..... Regards, Autopilot.

I am getting a Addon Scenery scenery.dat error. I have looked for the scenery.cfg that is active. I have found all kinds of scenery.cfg's in various locations. Which one is the one that FSX uses? I cannot find any scenery.dat files anywhere. Thanks, Bob.
