Hi All, Does anyone know where I might find a good model (with good VC preferably) of the Cessna 150 Aerobat? Preferable the FRA-150 with the 130HP engine? I'm wanting to use it to for cockpit familiarization with the real aircraft and to practise check-lists to get them into my head properly. Many thanks, James

Has anyone else not received their January/February 2012 Computer Pilot issue? I have tried to contact CP twice with no response. Also, their website shows the latest issue as November/December 2011. A Google search did not provide any indication that the magazine had discountined publication. Any news would be appreciated.Thanks.JayGee

Couple of years ago, there was a package available on the Internet which many people raved as being the best AI package available due to the great models and great performance. I believe it was made by some Koreans. Fast forward to today... What is the best AI Traffic addon for FSX in terms of performance? I rather skimp a bit on the visuals of the models in order to have models that do not tax the system to the point where you prefer to have no AI Traffic at all. Any suggestions? What is everyone using nowadays?

Is there a way to open REX Essentials without having it go through it's weather download process. I exclusively use REX for its wonderful cloud textures and then use AS 2012 for the weather engine. I can't seem to find any options in the menus that allow me to do this.

Hi, I borrowed a Track IR 4 with the PRO clip from a friend. To try how it feels to fly the RA C172 with that kind of setup. I now have a decent setup for some sim practice, to complement training on the real C172. I setup the Track IR and setup the Center and Pause buttons to the yoke and set some speed and smoothing values as I saw fit. When I started to fly, I faced two problems (I am running a 27" / 1920*1080): - I tried to get the kind of setup "centered" that feels like sitting in the real cockpit: close enough, high enough (but not too high). Hi all, I'm slowly but surely building up my scenery colleciton within FSX, and one area I'd really like to cover is the Canary Islands. I'm a big fan of this gorgeous place, and have considered moving there in the past, so I'd love to do some low-level sightseeing over the islands (especially Lanzarote, exploring Timanfaya by air would be awesome) and fly short hops from Spanish/North African airfields. The only piece of scenery I can find is Fly Wonderful Islands Canary Islands, which has five of the airports in the region, but I'm not sure if this is what I'm looking for. I have FS9 and quite a lot of add-on terrain and planes, and I was wondering if it's worth the $19 - $30 to buy FSX. How much of an improvement is there as far as add-ons and the base scenery/planes? And if I should get it, what version should I get?

Greetings, I've been simming for a long time. My first log entry was with Charles Gulick in April of 1988. Still have the logbook. After all the teething pains of FSX, layoffs, and what seemed like the end of flight simming I nearly gave up. I took a few years away and really didn't sim all that often. The last few weeks I decided to dive into the sim again and try to resurect my passion for simming. I did the tweaking and was glad to see that I can get 30FPS easily with my rig. I've built a custom airport that has a few obstacles near the runway, requiring a glide slope of ~6 degrees to clear them. How do I run that glide slope without accelerating above my target speed? Standard glide slope appears to be ~3 degrees, so I'm coming down at double the normal speed. So far, I've run the landing twice (both in A321 fully loaded), both with a starting speed of about 135 kts, and both times I ended up landing at around 170 kts with one of those landings collapsing the left landing gear. Good morning Can someone point me to where the standard 2d cockpit view coordinates are located. it seems mine are corrupt To be clear I want to ensure that my view from cockpit looking straight out is set at the defult value in the appropriate file Is this in the cfg file and is there a standard set of coordinates Every time i am in 2d view and change views to look right or left it corrupts my" look forward" view out of the cockpit and im looking down at the ground, I then have to hit "ctrl and spacebar " to reset it This does not happen in 3d very frustrating! hello friends, just curios to fps limiter weather it will help my fps. crrentyl my [email protected] running uk200 egcc pmdg 747 and everything full setting witha heck of a load of tweaks and onky hitting 21-23 fps and it makes me sad that poeple with the same or similar setup are getting drasticly better fps. help would be the best. many thanks.

I'm looking for freeware GA AI that I can use for online traffic. As VATSIMs VatVenture is currently running I'm looking for a package that has a bunch of GA AI (or controllable, it doesnt really matter as long as the 3d model is quite light in regards to framerate) that I can use for the other aircraft in the pattern. The pattern has been really really busy at KOSH the last few days, and it would be nice if the other planes looked like different types and not all just default C172s. Does anybody know about such a package?

I have an ongoing issue with PFE when flying out of London Stansted, I am always given 120.68 as the departure frequency, this frequency cannot be tuned on my radios. If any PFE users could plan a flight EGSS to EHRD, compile it and post the contents of the following files I would be very grateful. \PFE\FS2000\PF2000\FlightPlans\PF2000 - EGSS to EHRD.freq \PFE\Data\freq_conversion.dat I only get this issue with Stansted, every other location tested works fine. I have lots of addons already - but with no traffic whatsoever I am getting a good 60 FPS. So does World of AI impact frames very well? I would plan on installing all WOAI planes and max my traffic btw.

I heard there was a new airac coming out tomorrow, but what exactly is an airac cycle for fsx? Ive never downloaded any before - does it add new STARs and SIDs for all payware aircraft?
