Hi There, Just recently, when ever I quit FSX the program returns to the set-up window FREE FLIGHT (the one where you can select your choice of aircraft, airport, weather, time). as expected. However the window directly below these choices (normally displays the rotating AIRCRAFT you've selected before pressing FLY NOW)................................................is completly BLACKED-OUT. Any ideas what could be causing this? Ive re-installed FSX along with Level-D 767 and UT2 for now. (Nothing else installed) while I try to pin down the problem. Can someone tell me how to open a plane in 2D instead of the VC they typically open?

I recently ordered the download and I have been very disappointed with the product and no help from support. Issues: The mouse cursor quits working for periods of time so you can't control the plane. I have been unable to diagnose what causes it to happen. It magically begins working after a period of time. The windows have a green and grey hue which distorts the colors of the scenery. Baggage door does operate as advertised. Has anyone experienced this or have possible solutions?

Hi Guys, Anyone used this site to update FSX navaids http://aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html ?? I'm considering updating as I fly a lot of SID/STARs and whilst I've not found a missing VOR yet I'm sure its just a matter of time. Does it work OK? They mention in their PDF that there is an effect on traffic - I'm using myTraffic X 5.4 so will this no-longer work properly? Or is there a better alternative? Many thanks, James

Greetings: Something odd is occurring with FSX and I'm not sure what is causing it or how to stop it. Every 10 minutes or so the screen updates (like it's loading scenery). A text box appears with a data line. It is very quick - maybe 1 second on the screen at the most - too quick to actually read anything. This occurs even if you sit on the runway. Weather is set to NOT update. I am NOT running a weather engine and I am using static weather. I'm using ORBX scenery but this shouldn't be an issue, and as the "update" occurs when I'm sitting on a runway, I don't believe it to be scenery related. Ideas? Hi everyone This is a topic that has been addressed many times as far as I can see but here goes: I have set up 5 monitors: 3 monitors through a Matrox triple head to go 2 monitors through a Matrox dual head to go with both matrox devices fed from a geforce 550 Ti Now, as with many people, I would like to have a 2D outside view on the 3 monitors while having all the 2D panels on the 2 monitors. The issue I am having is with setting the default panel positions and sizes. Hi, FSX was running fine then at some point the "CTRL + TAB" and any assigned joystick button failed to move view to next position, i.e. from VC to Spot Plane etc. All other control assignments working fine. Un-installed and re-installed FSX but to no avail, Any Ideas please? Fin Fraser

In my view Aerosoft still has the best skyscrapers add-ons in FSX (as shown below). The realism is breadth taking? Any other add-ons that looks as real? Any in Europe? I absolutely dislike the skyscrapers shown in the default scenery and even GEX and UTX. You views?

Hi there... I have come to the point where the Viewpoint shifting from left to right while turning any aircraft in FSX is driving me crazy! So im taking a look at my "fsx.cfg" and my question is... Does [DynamicHeadMovement] have anything to do with that error, and by changing a few numbers with-in that category will it change the Viewpoint issue? Regards, Ciaran

I was flying into KFRG today with my newly purchased RealAir Lancair Legacy *biggrin* and as I was passing over KLGA I saw what I believe was flushing airport which was depicted as an actual open runway in FSX ??? even though it was closed 3 decades ago and now the runway is barely even visible? Similarly as I was approaching KFRG from the southwest a bit (about midway between KJFK and KFRG) I saw another runway depicted as closed (with Xs) in FSX even though my sectional doesn't show any closed airports between KJFK and KFRG and I haven't seen one in google maps satellite view either. I have no idea what that one is but is there any updated scenery depicting this area of…

Hi guys, Now, here is something that makes me wonder and question. With the RealAir Lancair out, it amazes me as how they managed to make the a/c graphics look "round" and not squarey as in almost every a/c out there. I wonder how they do it ? I would love to see PMDG and Airbuses with this type of graphics-- it's as real as it can be !

I downloaded an FS2004 Vimy that had been converted to FSX, but there's no elevator trim. I contacted the developer and he tells me he doesn't know how to fix it. In fact I seem to remember the standard FS2004 Vimy had no elev trim either. Would it be possible for me to have a shot at inserting a few lines into the FSX Aircraft file or wherever to try to create elevator trim myself? Alternatively, would copying and pasting another aircrafts elev trim work?

hello everybody! i am planning to buy either all GEX and all UTX addons, and i would like to ask a (maybe noob) question: do all utx and gex releases work toghether? i mean, can i install europe, USA, alaska related toghether and fly, or do i have to install only europe if i plan to fly over europe? (and then reinstall USA if i fly over USA) in other words do i have to reinstall the correct version each time i change location? hope i was clear thanks so much!

Would there be a way to compress Posky's 737 textures to improve my frame rates? I can fly the default 737 with ease. But if i use the posky 737 i drop a couple frames. It's still flyable, but would it be possible to get the same frames as the default if i compress the textures? I have DXTbmp, not sure how to use it though! Thanks

Hello Guys; I use Corei7 [email protected] with 8Gb RAM on 580GTX over dual screens.My fsx.cfg is tweaked via ******* tweaks and also latest Vsync ½ refresh rate advices. Result is acceptable , Most of “must have add-ons” are installed, GEX,UTX,AS2012,… some sceneries from FSDT and Aerosoft and some great aircrafts by PMDG ,Level-D. I already bought FSCaptain, FS flight keeper and Aivlasoft EFB but not always use them ,I am worry about CPU/Resource consumption by these 3 great utilities. For example I use Aivlasoft EFB just for Flight Planning and dispatching! Then exit and load FSX. Any idea about effect of them on FSX? Resource usage? Effect on smoothness and frame r…

Hi, I've been getting quite a few scenery library object missing messages recently. They seem to happen in random areas, primarily in the NW US, I do have ORBX scenery installed for the PNW, part of the intermountain US (East to Idaho) and the Canadian Rockies. I did quite a bit of work manually uninstalling files in those areas but still getting the messages. I'm considering making a backup of the scenery folder then removing it and letting FSX repair it, then reinstalling FS Global 2010, FSXUT/USA and EUR plus my ORBX scenery. Any other suggestions? Just stumbled on this today http://www.alabeo.com/index.php and was wondering how it is. I have never bought from Alabeo but being that they are an offshoot of Carenado I presume the plane is somewhat decent. For the price it looks like it could be a cheap bit of fun to try crop dusting fields rather than just flying over them. So if anybody who has tried this model could give me some feedback I would very much appreciate it, thanks.

For some time I have been experiencing a short closure whilst FSX completes its loading. The tablet shows that it is scenery and aircraft loading. I've never seen this sort of behaviour before, and wonder if others have. If so, does anyone know the cause?
