Gents, I uploaded another great avcad by Ray Smith and can see many of you did also! It looks very nice and seems more FPS friendly than his older file. However, I am having a problem in that I have some orphaned jetways at the Frontier Terminal and the SouthWest terminal. I followed Ray's instructions regarding copying the 2 jfkjetway files. Could I be missing textures or objects necessary? I looked at the associated OBJ.bgl file using Airport Designer (and was careful not to put anything back into the sim). I noticed some objects for jfkjetway02. Could this be the source of my problem and is everyone else seeing all jetways connected? I am stumped, and any ideas are a…

I installed the patch for the Baron and changed the panel config to the RXP config. I also used the RXP wizzard to install thr RXP to the Baron now the plane won't load. Has anyone been able to get the RXP WAAS 530 gauge to work yet? If you have, could you tell what steps it takes for the 530 to replace the default GPS. I have it working in the Milvis 310, but I can't remember how I did it. Thanks for your help.

Good day, I am really new to gaming and not too computer smart. I friend got me all fired up for FSX. My problem is with FSX freezing about 10 minutes into the game. When it freezes none of my imputs do anything to move me along. However I still get audio, the screen does not change from the last scene (mostly in full cockpit), just a nice freeze frame... I end up having to Ctrl, Alt, Delete to get the Task Manager to end the task. I have a Dell Studio XPS 8100 with a i5 cpu running at 2.8ghz, 12 gigs ram on a 64 bit system and my video card is a Radeon 5670 with 1/2 gig. Hello there, I am not sure whether I am posting this in the right place, but I hope someone can help me to increase framerates. I have recently bought a new rig to replace my outdated dual-core computer, and I have built it with mind for FSX. Yet, I'm not exactly satisfied with my framerates, and seeing videos of other people achieving better results on similar rigs, I figured out that I'm doing something wrong. The rig is nothing amazing but in my modest opinion, it is a powerful machine to run games and FSX, and the parts for it were the best I could possibly afford. Hey guys. Sadly I had to reformat my computer and I lost EVERYTHING I had in FSX. While sad, I'm using it as an opportunity to change my entire FSX fleet into high quality freeware and payware. Planes, scenery, environment changes, anything is welcome. Something to bring my game up to snuff graphics-wise and have some really amazing planes in the proccess. I can run just about anything, so don't worry about how taxing a given program is, I can figure out if it's right for me or not. Have anybody experienced this ground stutter issue before? Problem is when I am on the runway, then I have very fluctuating frames, and bad stuttering. As soon as I have passed 100 feet all is nice and dandy and buttersmooth no matter what settings. Somewhere deeply beried ind the dark areas of my mind, I seem to recall that there once was a topic about a similar case. But I can`t find a solution to it anywhere. Hi All... Need some help with a very frustrating problem. I've downloaded a couple of AC that have the Weather Radar available. The panels are excellent and I've followed the instructions re: the installation. I've not mentioned the AC as I think it might be a 'common problem' to do with my system. I've got Pete Dowsons FSUIPC V.4.60 installed. I've got the Traffic info.dll & TrafficRadarXML.dll that came with the packages in a 'Model' Folder. I'm running FSX. Worth mentioning these AC are for FS9 and one id for both FS9 & FSX..the fact that the latter one is not working is the concern. I've tried various ways of installing the 2 .dll files too...to no avail…

I have an interesting situation. My landing gear has failed to retract, forcing me to turn back to the airport, then just as I'm getting ready to make a left-hand, 180-degree turn to align with the runway, the left engine fails. Now I need to make the turn while compensating for the loss of the engine, and I only have 2,000 feet to play with. I tried, but the aircraft stalled and crashed. Is a 200+ foot-per-second straight down decent with a full tank of fuel survivable?

This is the support/feedback thread for the Airbus A320 CFM sounds only. I have created these sounds for FSX, and they have only been tested in FSX SP2. Any other simulators are formally unsupported; if you get this to work on something else, I would love to know! If you have any questions, comments, bugs to submit, etc. please post below. I've been playing around with MS Flight since it was released and decided to order FSX as (1) I hate planes without VC and (2) I love multi-engine aircraft. Any suggestions and what I should do first after its installed?

How exactly does this radar work with the aircraft? Say I wanted to use it with AirbusX, does the radar automatically appear on the panel? or does it stay in a separate window?

I am well aware that by default, the Flight Simulator X programme is installed in C:\Program files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X. The same for \Addon Scenery; \SimObjects; \Effects; \Gauges;\Scenery; \Sound; \Texture; \Autogen and \Missions. New aircraft, sceneries, etc. , downloaded and/or bought, are installed in these directories. As operating system crashes often result in loss of data from the C: drive I'd like to keep files generated by myself (flightplans etc.) on a separate (hard)disk. Not having any of the Capt. Sim product, I'm curious if their 777 has a 2D cockpit. In looking at all of their marketing material, I can't tell from that whether they do or not. Jack

Hi everyone, first post on Avsim. I am planning the making of a GA cockpit panel. Its going to be pretty much a generic panel (although I will mostly be using the default Mooney Bravo to run it) using the following: CH yoke, Saitek rudder pedals, Peix GA gauges Saitek switch panel, anunnciator, throttle/prop/mixture, two radio panels and auto pilot panel. Not into GPS or FScommander etc as I think it kinda makes it all too easy My question is how to have a forward view of just the aircraft nose and prop with no other cockpit? suppose i could just zoom fwd out of the cockpit but not sure if that will give a true view of scenery. I tried searching for this; no luck. I heard there was a way to substitute files so the static carriers have working arresting gear and catupults. If it is possible; could someone give a detailed description of how to make the switch? Thanx in advance Donald

I am looking for a high fidelity helicopter simulation,with "autorotation" capability. Any advice/opinions, would be greatly appreciated.

By default my 430w and 530w default to 8khz increments... it's a pita to change comm freqs with that setup. Anyone know how to get them by default to the 25 khz channel spacing? I can do it in the GPS but I've got to make the change everytime and I'm getting tired of it. It used to work fine but somehow changed with the 1.6v patch.

I am aware that hardware related issues are not allowed in this forum, but I don't think this is neccessarily an issue with my hardware. Everything about the plane works great except for that when I bring the load manager up, nothing on it is clickable. All I can do is drag it around the screen. I have read the manual. I also have this issue with the RAZBAM A-7 Corsair II Volume III. Everything else about the planes is great and fully functional though.

Hi uh I would like to know how to get some sounds working for FSX ai aircraft... Right now it just plays some weird idle sound for whenever the engines are on... I tried putting in a Soundai folder but it just ignores it for some reason... I can't even get the default AI sounds back! Help? Thanks! The sound it plays is in the the main sound folder, example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Sound the name of the sound is "xai_lgjet01"
