Hello all, I'm Paradoxical and am new to flight simulators. I was wondering how I could optimize Flight Simulator X to run at a better frame rate. At the moment I'm only getting an average of 10, and wondered if there was anything I could do to possibly improve it to around 25. Here are my current specs (if you could estimate how much better my performance could improve): Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family, Pentium® Dual-Core CPU T4300 @ 2.GHz (2 CPUs), 3072MB RAM, I will appreciate any help, Thanks

Hi, Since getting FSX as a present I find myself spending most of my free time flying and I love it. I also spend a lot of time on the forums just reading and learning. But I am in need of your help, I seem to have overwritten 2 original BGL files with "CAE5 - Whistler SeaplaneBase.bgl" and "CAE5_ADE_DAD.BGL". I thought i'd be clever and get some new scenery for my Beaver re-paints but realised too late that those are not compatible. Could any kind person please post the original BGL files for this base. I would be most grateful, Thank You. Mr Jambo

Yes I have the manual as well but its all double dutch to me. I have recently purchased Bangkok INT. airport which is totally huge in size. But its empty,no traffic Any advice on how to add traffic using UTX would be appreciated

Hi there. I have been playing FSX for a few months now without issues, However i have just stared having issues with the ATC and ils approaches. Normally i fly my planned route using the FMC until ATC tells me otherwise. I follow the heading and altitude given to me then ATC will give me the heading to intercept the ils signal (normally around 20-30 nm i think) That was until i installed Ultimate traffic 2. Lets use an example, i fly the Gatwick Dublin route a fair bit. Normally the ATC will tell you to begin your decent after you pass over the welsh coast. Then they will line you up with the runway and you are given your final heading (you know. turn h…

You know, in TIR, we're supposed to uncheck the Trueview checkbox on the Profile tab, and in the TrackIR srttings in EZCA we check the Transform XYZ checkbox. Well, if I do that, my cameras don't work, that is, I can't shift my eye point up, down, left, right, forward or back using the buttons on top of my Saitek yoke. However, if I leave the Trueview checkbox checked, it all works nicely. I'm not an 'advanced' Ezca user, I like the shaky business and the ability to shift my eyepoint, but haven't gone much further than that. Can anyone tell me why my functionality seems to be at odds with the norm? Best wishes,

Hi all! I'm currently experiencing a major problem with Ezdok. It has been working like a charm since I installed it the first time. But yesterday, when I imported a camera file (Angle Of Attack's NGX-config), the entire VC (on all aircraft) stops working... I can click on the buttons, pull the levers etc. But the animations are gone... For example, when i arm the auto throttle the green light illuminates but the switch doesn't move. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled and reinstalled as admin, moved the camera forward to make sure I'm not in the headrest. I have done basically everything I can think of. hi there, not sure if i need to post it here but feel free to move the topic if this is the wrong place. so, i have the 2 GPSes from Reality xp. the 530 and the 430 working in crossfill. Now my problem is that i when i select an app in the gps not all RNAV app is showing. I know they where there some time ago i dont know where it went wrong. Some airports got them and some dont. I am not selecting an airport that hasnt have one so thats not the case. I know they got the RNAV app but i just cant select them. I did check out the forum of Reality xp but i could not find a post there regarding this so maybe someone here had the same thing? greetings Sry …

today i was going to do a short flight and notice that now when in the virtual cockpict of some default and add on AC when im looking foward i have no sound at all but if i pan around and look to the back of the flightdeck the sound slowly comes back ???????? WEIRD...

Hi everyone am here having a little trouble deciding which monitor to use. The problem is that i have one 32" LCD TV HDTV that has 4 HDMI ports. An in the other side i have a normal AOC 22" Monitor that only holds DVI & VGA ports , so now i want try HDMI but with out having to disconnect all the time from DVI to HDMI. Because also on my LCD TV i watch netflix an tv shows so when i just want to use my regular pc AOC monitor i won't have to be disconnecting the HDMI cable an connecting the DVI Cable again . So i want to know if its okay leaving AOC DVI Monitor as it is an also leaving the HDMI Cable Connected to my LCD TV . If this is possible an don't affect FSX in som…

Strangely I've got some issues with my menus. Hoping someone here may have seen this issue before and may be able to diagnose the problem. I just rebuilt the FSX.cfg file but this was going on before this. Graphics drivers have been updated to the most recent earlier tonight without any relief. Perhaps it's an ATi (AMD) Catalyst control setting I'm overlooking? Sometimes it looks just fine and sometimes it looks worse than this... I should add that only FSX and it's menus are affected. I've been adding the new FAIB AI models to my AI traffic and noticed that they come with a 'Logolight allways on' texture. Install instructions suggest this file should be added to the main FSX texture folder. I use Ultimate Traffic II and AI logolights remain on after dark. I was hopeing to achieve the same effect with the new FAIB models, but so far they remain dark until the aircraft starts to taxi. 1.Should the FAIB models remain lit up after dark? 2.If so, how specifically do I achieve this? Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone would know if, as the title suggests, do the ******* tweaks affect the draw distance in FSX? Reason I ask is I am having some trouble with UT2 and traffic dissappearing at very short distances - I have been on their forums and it would appear that I am configured correctly - with all my FSX sliders in the correct place as well as UT2's maxed out. The only thing I can think of is possibly the tweaking tool may have altered the FSX config file - perhaps reducing draw distance to assist with FPS, only problem with that is then it kind of makes UT2 a bit pointless! I'm still a bit of an FSX noob so forgive any silly questions that may follow. I have purchased a whole bunch of airplanes and am pretty happy with them for the most part. I now find that an enjoyable FSX experience is being held back due to the stock scenery. To that end, I've purchased GEX North America and UTX-USA. I haven't had a chance to install them yet so I have no idea what North America will look like but in my searches online, I keep coming across topics that mention adding land classes as "a must" to really take FSX scenery to another level. Hi all, I've ran into a pretty unique problem and wondered if anyone had some ideas. I have a number of AI packages (mostly WOAI) installed which have worked just fine until now. I've recently edited the exit codes in all the aircraft cfg files so that I can have the jetways dock to each of the AI aircraft. This seemed to work just fine until I noticed that at a number of airports the AI aircraft are suddenly not showing up. I've installed ADE files for some of these airports but still with no luck. I'm finding it difficult to tell on what basis for which airports FSX is determing whether or not to load the AI traffic. Very strange and not sure if it has to do with the m…

Looks fine durring the day, but at night those lights look TERRIBLE, so messed up and I cant fly at all. Its Like watching a slideshow.

The only airports I have right now down there currently is Fly Tampa St Martin, to start off I figure I'll get the Cloud9 Xclass Central and South America land class along with GEX Tropics but not sure what else I should be looking at. I know there is a ton of payware airports in the area but I'm not sure which to pickup or leave behind. For reference right now I'm flying around in the Flight1 Mustang so I'm not exactly looking for STOL airports. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. PW Sceneries is currently on my shortlist for freeware though not sure how well that will work with GEX and Xclass.

hey people, Now, I'm having some troubles with 2 air canada aircrafts. The Boeing 777 has the VC and all the screens were on the aircraft but the displays didn't show anything. And The 767 won't take off right away (according to me, it took off at possibly 265 knts) and, everything is very blurry. I can't see anything. I thought it was something in the settings that made it blurry but no. any help is appreciated.

Hey guys, another enb post. I had made some changes to my enb settings a while ago that I was happy with. Recently I got bored and started playing around with different enb settings and palettes to see what I could work up, but things got messy so downloaded enb again and overwrote the files. Problem is, it doesn't look great anymore. It seems way to dark overall and I don't remember it ever looking that way. Anybody willing to offer up their settings?

I have just spent days reinstalling everything from Windows 7 64 and then FSX with GTX UTX FTX Orbx Australia and N. America, Active Sky Evo and many Aircraft. Over the time spent doing this I started FSX to see if all was well and then I would shut down the computer and restart as I went along. When all was finished I started FSX and it went thu the normal loading screens then I selected My default start up with the Cessna at Seattle and POW I was back on the desktop! and I could hear the engine running so FSX was alive but not showing up on the screen. All very strange. Does anyone have any idea what is going on please?
