I installed the Sludge mod v1.2 and it works just fine. I want to modify by Captain Sim Delta hornet with the the sludge/combat hornet integration ("shchi.zip"), which specifies that it will also upgrade Capt. Sim's Hornet. I made this upgrade with my last computer and it worked fine, but I have since changed to 64-bit Windows and upgraded my hardware. EVGA GTX 570 HD, Intel i7 2700k, P8P67 Deluxe mobo. Now, when I try to run SHCHI.exe (the installation program), it says "Sludge/Combat Hornet installer has stopped working" as soon as I execute the program. I did "run as administrator" and allowed the program to make changes to my computer. Any thoughts as to why this erro…

Sorry guys, something so simple but I cannot fix. I just installed FSX on my laptop. Everything works just fine...............BUT, the sound on my ATC display, the text prompting works just fine but NO SOUND. I checked all the SETTINGS. Everything is checked off correctly. Hey all, Due to having a weak processor (i5 760 @ 3,4ghz) I tend to run the sim with all traffic off. As I run the NGX with FS2Crew and fly for a virtual airline the feeling of a lifeless world isn't too bad. That said, I think I would like to try out Vatsim or IVAO. I tend to get about 26-30fps on the ground at airports like Heathrow (default, I'm not going to use addon airports til I get a Sandybridge in the future) - how much would Vatsim or IVAO effect my FPS? Would it be similar to say, Mytraffic X at 10% or worse? Also, when using a default airport, if a Vatsim user is using something like Aerosofts Mega Airport Heathrow, how would they appear to me give…

I believed that FSX GA-Traffic would put a traffic BGL into scenery/world/scenery. But I see no sign of any new traffic file in that folder. Also, a long time ago there was some easy way to eliminate a large number of airports from compiling traffic . I know that I can manually place (by typing) ICAO codes in the Do Not Use file. However, from a long time ago I thought there was an easier way to place almost 20,000 codes into the file.

Anyone got it to work with enbseries enabled? I like to watch landing replays but I always get a d3d9.dll crash. Works fine without it.

I didn't know there was already a RAAS availabe as freeware. And seems many people didn't notice it , seeing the interest for the payware one without any notice for this. Hi All, Being a bit of a Biz-jet nut at the moment. I only just found out that Wilco have an Embracer Lineage 1000 as part of their e-jets series! What is the general opinion of the Wilco E-jets? Good to fly? Good visual model? and how are the systems - Are they comparable to the Eaglesoft systems on their biz-jets or is it closer to the FSX default type...? Thanks James

With the new Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge intel CPU's, is it still recommended (i.e. is it necessary) to follow NickN's guide for installing and setting up windows 7 and FSX? Or can one just install Windows 7 and FSX then make the tweaks recommended by Word Not Allowed? I'll be installing both on a SSD. Todd

Hi , here is my system i7 2600k (4.4 ghz) , 8gb ddr3 , Nvidia Gtx 570 and dedicated 200 gb disk space seperate from Os and my screen resolution is 1440*900. And here is my problem , ive got clean install fsx then load Rex , Gex , Utx and Fs Genesis Mesh. First time i try the Bojote's automatic cfg tweak tool , it helpep to sim for better running but not i expected. Then ive read Nick's tweak guide , i recreate new cfg file for these tweaks ( which these are , Affinity Mask=14 , Fiber Frame Fraction Time=0.33 , Highmemfix=1 , Lod Radius=6.500 ,Texture Max Load=4096 , BufferPool=0 etc). Then i defrag my hdd and fly with Pmdg Ngx. But when i flying , autogen materials are …

Does anyone know how to get in touch with Eaglesoft? It has been over a week and I still do not have my account activated so I can view the support forums. I have found at least two airports in which FSX uses incorrect runway numbers. Example: KTPA (Tampa). I go to airnav.com and check runway information for KTPA. It shows: 19R--1L 19L--1R 10--28 However using FSX MAP view, FSX shows these runway numbers: 18R--36L 18L--36R 9--27 The FMC in my PMDG 737NGX shows the same runways numbers as does airnav.com. Is there a utility or some other method of getting FSX to show correct runway numbers? I notice the runway numbers seem to be off by only 1 degree, but this causes the airplane position at start up to be somewhere in the middle of the field as FSX does not know how to deal with this difference.…

Today after landing at LEPA and shutting down and deboarding at the designated gate I found myself just sitting there for a few moments looking at the screen and enjoying the moment looking at buses driving by in front of the aircraft fully loaded with PAX going to/from a/c and other vehicles as well and another online 737-800 in KLM colors parking next to me. It really felt so real...like the airport was really alive and looking back at the flight...the beautiful scenery of Arlanda right after takeoff and then the nice Spanish IVAO controllers guiding us safetly down to yet another beautiful scenery in form of LEPA I once again realized how much I like our hobby simu…

Hi guys.. after reading some stuff about the dx10 flickering fix I just figured that I dont have the SHADERS folder in %appdata%\miscrosoft\fsx\ I tried install the FSWC configurator and it asks for the shader folder, which I dont have it.. how can this happen? fsx+accel fresh installed.. do I have to install a mod or something? thanks in advance!

When I start FSX in virtual cockpit mode, this is what it looks like (default starting view): But if I try to reset the view by pressing CTRL + SpaceBar, it looks like this: This happens whether I shift the eye point after starting the game (e.g. by using Shift + Enter), or not. Even if I don't shift the eye point at all (top picture), and press CTRL + Spacebar, the new eye point view looks like the second picture. Hi all, I'm feeling pretty good about my setup right now, having recently ironed out some stuttering issues that were apparently a side-effect of forcing AF in Inspector. However, there's one issue that I've had since I first installed FSX on my rig that doesn't ever seem to go away. It seems to affect objects where one texture is laid on top of another--poster-like decals, like scenery billboards and signs on buildings, seem to be chronically affected--they all seem to exhibit this behavior. I've attached example images from one airfield in the oustanding "Airports of Norway" freeware package, but this affects sceneries ranging from FlyTampa's Kai Tak to Aerosoft…

Hi guys, I'm looking for Fokker 50/60 for my regional flights in North of Europe, small airports. So, does anyone knows Which are payware fokker 50 or 60 different from PAOB? This seems to be a good product but very expensive IMHO considering the PDMG J41 it's less expensive and has FMS too. But J41 it's not so common in Europe, this is why I'm looking for Fokkers. I read there was the VirtualCol Fokker 50, but it's no more availanle, why? And on freeware side, any good aircraft? Many thanks in advance.

Hello, Guys! When ever I press F4 for full thrust to B747-400 to fly then at some times, it gets fire but in the end it takes off well and lands well but still fire and smoke remain comes out of plane. Even I don't know which part of the plane gets fire. What's the reason? Sorry I couldn't take many pictures but one I've while landing at Islamabad Airport. Hello, Guys! Here is another simple question but I couldn't find that. How to fully Turn-off Boeing 747-400? I can turn off all engines and even despite of turning off all engines, air plane still give voice. So what is the key board command to turn off a Jet in FSX? Probably we say it the Master Switch. Been researching for a best moving map on my IPAD to use in conjunction with FSX, First I tried iGMAP from fswidgets. I found that a bit troublesome to activate the plug in outside fsx and on top of that you need to create a flight plan, save it and then export the .pln file to the app in order to fly to your destination. I had Air Nav Pro a while ago but unfortunately is only usable on Xplane then. Today, for some reason I did a google search on Air Nav Pro fsx plugin once again and walla!
