Yesterday I successfully tested DX10 fix posted by stevejp here: http://forum.avsim.n...imental-shader/ I also use VSync set at 1/2 refresh rate and standard tweaks (highmem,.. nothing fancy) and I experienced the smoothest flight ever.. on my machine. So, I seriously think about staying with DX10. I use in-game filtering and AA, it's not perfect but much better than I thought (ok, now we need another genius to fix that too). But now I already see problems with that.. in my collection of addons (too many to count) there must be some that are not compatible with DX10 or at least they have a DX9/10 switch. Hi Guys, This is my first post so excuse me if I am putting it in the wrong place. I just wanted some of you to check my first FSX video out and giv me some feedback. I put a couple of screenshots below hopefully to entice you enough to see the rest lol. I have been into FSX for only about 6 months and spent 2 days putting this clip together. Its pretty random but a lot of hard work went into it. Apologies for using this forum, but can't see any other way. I would appreciate a PM from someone at REX so I can resolve registration for members' forum support (CTDs, no clear installation instructions with download or in manual). Registered for REX Extreme a while back. Now when attemptiing to register for Essentials forum, my input is rejected on the grounds that "email already in use". It would be: it's mine! Guess I need help from REX systems admin on this, but no reply to my email over last day or two to a REX.com forum moderator. Thanks! David

You know what really amazes me? Given the number of freeware planes that have been created, and given the popularity of the Cessna 185, it really surprises me that no one has ever created a freeware Cessna 185 for fsx. At least, I have been unable to find one. Does anyone know if one exists? Maybe I just missed it somehow. I also did some research on FS 2004 Cessnas that might really be first class and port over successfully to fsx. But it seemed to me that people had not been able to find one that either was high quality, or didn't have problems when using it on fsx. Maybe I missed something there, too. Anyone know? Dewey

FeelThere A320 - Is it normal for this aircraft to overspeed and not follow the set altitudes throughout the route? I have to manually adjust the altitude and speed throughout my entire flights to fly safely, because the aircraft constantly pitches up randomly, overspeeds, and then the A/T and Autopilot buttons turn off. Basically the only thing that the aircraft does correctly is follow the flight plan route. But when it decides to overspeed it will shut down the autopilot and go off course. I love Airbus so much.. but man I want a perfect one. Or atleast one that autopilots correctly.

When reading on charts over stars for different airports you can almost always see, for example,"30nm from THR". What does this stand for?

Hi everyone i would like to know if the PMDG 737ngx autothrottle disengage automatically before landing . Let me just say i normally disengage it myself, but somtimes the joystick makes it hard for me to disengage the AT when flying manually .

Hello all, I'm having some strange problems with FSX, that only seems to happen when I fly above 72degrees north (although this may not be the problem). I've tried to fly Tromo - Svalbard 4 times now, none of the flights have been successful. The first 2 times I was getting a problem with FS Real Time, so I uninstalled, updated and re-installed and I no longer get a crash caused by FS real Time, instead I have another problem... After a certain length of time (which seems to be when I pass 72 degrees north), when I press S to cycle views, I only get 'Outside View' and 'Cockpit View'... I want to engage the GPU so I can save my battery but I can't do so unless the battery is on. I then check my electrics and it show the batteries being drained and the GPU 0.0. Someone help

I am looking for a solution to darken the look of FSX at night. I have already changed my monitor setting, which has helped, but not solved the issue. I found this on another forum: For the dusk/dawn textures some people feel, subjectively, the result is too dark or too light. There are 2 items that allow the transition time to be changed: [GRAPHICS] DAY_THRESHOLD NIGHT_THRESHOLD acceptible values are 0 to 65535. Defaults: DAY: 32768 NIGHT: 4096 These entries are not in my .CFG, however.

Unsure whether it is me, but since installing essentials I am having darn awful problems with flashing graphical anomolies. Sure, it happens when around big airports or 8/8 cloud cover in the NGX, but this is something new and not something I experienced with Rex OD. The only way I have found of eradicating things is to delete the bufferpools tweak, I then end up with a far less smooth sim, far from ideal and something I should not have to consider. I did read something that suggested that essentials loads a whole load more 'stuff' in the background than OD, but unsure how qualified this information is. I thought it a good idea to start a short thread for those who have been following the issues I have been experiencing with Rex Essentials, of which I have another thread on the forum. I hope it will be of benefit to those who have experienced similar issues and also to clarify that the problem has been with an error in my cfg. and not specific to Essentials. I get 3 error messages when I start up and the first starts this way: SCENERY CFG file error: Local scenery directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X\\FSAddon\DolomitiX-BellunoFR\SCENERY) in scenery Area.117 not found. But when I look for that file it is not in the location indicated so I can't delete it.

Hi everyone i know Princess Juliana don't have an ILS approach. But here i was ready to land ATC gived me A VOR to runway nine . In my PMDG CDU it doesn't have runway 9 basically runway 9 in the pmdg 737 is runway 10 in the cdu. So i click on runway 10 in the PMDG CDU, as i click an kept getting closer to the runway i press app to see what will happen . An from no where the localizer was moving but this one is different instead of saying VOR/LOC it said something else. It was heading right for the runway like a normal ILS approach would do.
