I flew from KDEN to KORD last week. The departure and cruise were uneventful. I flew United on one of their B737-800NG's, which I presume came from CO before the merger. Unfortunately they had no sound system installed for passengers (at least on coach where I was), so I was unable to tell whether this arrival taxi to the gate was just one big ground clearance or a modification part-way into the taxi for other traffic, etc. But I did have a window seat and was able to see and record the taxi path, as well as having a current airport diagram with me to trace our route. Hi, For training purposes on learning the T7, I am considering buying the CaptainSim T7. I would like to get an idea of how to operate the plane so I will be ready once the PMDG T7 arrives into the market. Is it worth it? I just want to get an idea of all the switches, FMC, and MCP. Is the aircraft somewhat flyable?

Hello gents. Yes, it's one of the million performance threads you're all so fond of! Shortly explained, I have a nice setup with my current FSX. I've followed 'bout every pinned or highly regarded topic/guide for tweaking, settings, nVidia inspecor, and so forth. I'm overall qutie pleased. BUT, now and then when I'm flying, I have periods of reduced framerates, which just is a pain in my lower back region. I'm currently externally limited to 29 in Inspector (tried other limiters, and other fps-rates as well, with no real change), and FSX's holding that limit just fine. Then suddenly it drops down to 15ish, maybe even dropping down to 10 now and then. It does that for …

Is this normal? My FPS is literally halfed when going from DX10 Preview to non DX10. That's it!!! No other changes just unchecked DX10 in an attempt to try some different Nvidia AA modes. Without DX10 I get horrible FPS and micro stutters and the game feels horrible like I'm not even flying. Sucks I can't use those nice AA modes like 8SQ. System specs are in the sig.

Where do auxiliary apps like Radar Contact, FS2Crew, ASA 2012, as several examples, get placed into the virtual memory when running simultaneously with FSX? Does Radar Contact, or FS2Crew,or ASA 2012 run in their own 4GB virtual memory spaces, or all together in a 4GB virtual space separate from FSX, or run in the same 4GB maximum memory space with FSX? With all the add-ons out in the market that can potentially run at the same time, is there a way you can force them to run in another virtual memory space to eliminate a potential Out of Memory (OOM) situation with FSX? This is likely a rookie question, but is there a keypress or option to view the current FSX generated weather at an airfield that dosen't have ATIS without going through the Weather Download option? Thanks, Ernie

Hi all, Just a small question about something that happened the other day, which has probably been asked time and time again but I can't seem to find it here. I recently downloaded a freeware aircraft for my hanger and when I ran FSX the aircraft is there, with panels sounds and all but the view out of the windows is black, only when in the Virtual Cockpit it would seem. Is this a consequence of an aircraft being converted by someone to run in FSX from FS9 or not? This only happens with this one aircraft not any of the other myriad aircraft in my hanger. Hey, I have been battling with FSX sp2 for 6 months now, reading forums, tips, tricks, Word Not Allowed's guides and i am still struggling to get fsx smooth at 30fps. I still get regular "blurries" and stuttering. However that said i have now managed to stop all of the CTD and BSOD, witch is thanks to you guys! and FPUIC :Party: I am however :Thinking: having trouble decyphering the hudge amount of info about fsx.cfg files and what to do in it, i have tried, but not really achieved my aim of curing the blurries and FPS. Hi all, I'm using FSX with UTX, GEX and FEX and UK2000 scenery which all work very well and I'm pleased with the results I get. I also like flying GA aircraft and the more detailed product from A2A and PMDG. I have noticed especially flying the PMDG 737NGX that when at high altitudes I get some very erratic weather fluctuations, I should say I have real world weather set and winds aloft with updates every 15mins set in FSX too. but I notice massive sudden swings of the wind sometimes over 90 degrees and huge variation in wind speeds too, which can't be realistic surely! Hey all, Just got AS2012 to use with ASE. After messing with it a bit, I'm just not quite getting how to set up the various textures/snapshots/etc. Basically, I think I read that there is a way to have ASE choose the "most appropriate" graphics when running, which I'd like it to do, including having it set color sets such as those seen when looking at "dusk" in the AS2012 interface. I'm also not sure whether I'm supposed to set anything up in AS2012, or just "do all the work" through ASE. Any help appreciated! Andrew

First time I have unlocked that Trophy in FSX, last install was about a year ago, and good tweaks and tips from the forums here have got FSX working like a dream on this compy.

I need help with making flight plans with real procedures. Im not really sure how to go about doing this. I prettty much am only flying A320's & E190's now and so I want to get this stuff figured out. Im going to be flying out of KLGB to KLAS. and my route im suppose to fly is SENIC1 DAG KEPEC2.

I think I remember seeing a pretty good freeware DeHavilland Comet (the jetliner, not the racing plane) somewhere. I think it even had an F/E panel. Does anybody know what I'm talking about and where I could find it? Thanks, boeing247

After reading the 737NGX product description I get the impression that it does not have any 2D panel but only a VC. My experience is that VC is not feasable with airliners because of odd viewing angles making it awkward to see everything clearly. That leads to the question of I should take the cost of EZdok into consideration if I wan't the 737NGX? This addon addresses the issue I mentioned. Also I'm not quite clear of what I would miss if I skip the 600/700 expansion? It's stated that 'all the cockpit, engine, sound, flight model and performance differences they bring compared to their longer 800 and 900 siblings.' What are these differences?

Hi last night i was in flight from kmia to kmsp an i took the flight with 66 % of fuel using the pmdg 737ngx aircraft. When i landed at the airport the fuel was about 19% of fuel . I don't really know if it was the joystick that cause my aircraft to bank to the right almost running out the runway or it was the fuel weight balance . Maybe one tanks was more full than the other . Can anyone tell me what this might be ? Because i don't think its the joystick because my joystick is find.

Well, it's in the title - when I switch to an external view the engine sound is far too loud compared to the cockpit. Does anyone know what to do about it?

Hello. For some reason I can't print the nav log in FSX. I have tried system restore,and I have deleted the CFG file,but it is still not working. Any ideas? Win 7 64 bit. Thanks. Dennis

Is Aerosoft currently developing Dubai scenery? There is a post on the forum here I found about it with a link. Maybe someone knows? I see the library has a scenery on here but apparently it is extremely FPS intensive. Has anyone tried that one by Oliver?

Hello citizens I've just uploaded my latest scenery to AVSIM and it is Ballina Byron Gateway airport. Ballina is located on the northern NSW coast and is only 30kms south of Byron Bay. The scenery contains the airport and 100sq kms of photoreal which covers the town and surrounding area. There are over 350 custom made objects including some nice new custom runway and taxiway lighting as well as some new approach lighting (no more yucky FSX lights). The photoreal is designed to work best with FTX Australia textures but the scenery will work (more or less) with default FSX. It just won't look as nice. The runway is 1900m long.
