Guys I'd like to start making some FSX videos, what video capturing software do u recommend please? Many thanks

Hi everyone, I have a problem with starting FSX. When I start FSX only this screen is appearing. Then I go to the Event Viewer and the problem is Yesterday I downloaded FSX SP1 and SP2. After download competed I run them. When service packs setup finished, I run FSPX (FsPassengers X) setup . Everything is DONE now. A few times I could start FSX then error showed up. PLEASE HELP Best Regards

I just flew into Frankfurt today and noticed planes were getting visual approach clearances for runway 18 and even landing there and runway 18 is a take-off only runway at EDDF. I'm using Ray Smith's EDDF ADE and never really noticed this before. Any ideas? Or is this normal and an FSX issue that can't be solved? Thanks in advance Best Regards,

I have never had a problem selecting the opening view when firing up FSX. I select the AC I want, and then the outside spot view, and then save it as the default flight. Recently, the opening view has become the VC, which I did not select before saving the default flight. I repeatedly select the spot view, save it as the default flight and repeatedly, I still get the VC on the opening screen. What's going on here? Thanks

Is it a good idea ( as a method of preventive care) to occasionally "refresh" the FSX config file? Re- building it would seem to logically keep things in order. I've done numerous add-ons, driver changes, and settings changes within FSX over the last few months, and I am starting to think that letting the program refresh would be both logical and healthy. What do you think about this? And if you agree, how often should it be done? Stan

Hi I am thinking to use a second computer for my FSX units like: Saitek throttle Flight Illusion Yoke VrInsight MCP Pro VrInsight CDUII Some question: Can I connect the CDUII to my computer 2 and program the unit through FSUIPC? Can I connect the MCP Oro to my computer 2 and program the unit through LINDA which is comunicating through FSUIPC? The another units I can imagine that are no problem to make these to work with FSUIPC The reason for the second computer is: I will not that the FSX units is going on every time my computer is on an running and that my all usb ports are full. Anyways there are a difference story if I can by a USB hub with a power op…

Hi, First of all I know that the original POSKY is long gone, and that FSPro spinned the project off their page last year and made the POSKY download page available at www.projectopensky.com. I recently stumbled upon a VA forum where one member stated that FSPro was going to close the back up POSKY page this fall. Is this true? Many thanks for all the clarification that can be given on this matter.

I know how to zoom-in and zoom-out using the + & - keys, or the mouse wheel. What I want is to assign a function on my Saitek yoke to do the same thing. Maybe I'm just blind but I can't find the 'zoom' function anywhere in the controller settings. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

If you have not been to the Hardware/Video card forum for a while, go and check out the first pinned post.. The combination of: - 301.24 Nvidia drivers - 1.9.6. Nvidia Inspector with Vsync set to 1/2 of monitor refresh rate - FSX locked at 30 fps in the sim - and a standard 60 Hz monitor refresh rate, makes for a really smooooth simming experience! Add your favorite AA mode (mine is 8XSQ) and AF mode (16X), and FSX looks better than ever! One less reason to power up "Flight" now that FSX behaves this well on my system.. :good:

This is something that is quite annoying and I'm already searching three days for either a solution or a reply stating "no fix for this". But I can't imagine there is absolutely no fix at all for this as it was no issue in FS2004. When visibility gets very low in FSX the sky and clouds remain slighty visible. Not only does this seem unreal, but it can look very ugly as well..... especially buildings. I posted a screenshot. If you want to reply saying "But this has been discussed zillions of times" please safe your keyboard if you're not adding a link 'with' a solution or a "there is no fix". Btw I'm using ASE and even ASE doesn't seem to fix the problem. Perhaps some fsx.…

I wanted to do a clean sweep of my FSX.CFG file so renamed it and restarted FSX. It went through the normal startup procedure, but then, with the FSX main logo still showing, an error dialogue popped up saying it could not find the default flight and would need to reinstall FSX, then quit to desktop. I renamed the config file to the original restarted OK and went back in and made sure the default flight was selected and then went thru the process again - same result - no go. First time I have seen this Yes I have add-ons by the score I very very reluctant to reinstall unless absolutely necessary Anybody with any clues as to what might cause this? Ray

OK..I am new to Win 7 and I am having some frustrating time with FSX. I clean installed FSX and acceleration..I went into FSX and out many times during the installation of SDK Etc So I started looking at adding sceneries I started running into troubles. When I try adding stuff to my scenery.cfg directly, it doesn't load the scenery. I was trying to fix the annoying texture flicker where a taxiway joins onto a runway, as if two texture maps are in comflict. Here is an example of the problem at EGJJ Jersey. I tried turning the DirectX 10 preview mode off in FSX and this stopped the flicker problem straight away. However by doing this it has introduced a problem with the PMDG NGX and as you see the displays do not show up? It would be good if I could keep the Preview off and also keep the PMDG displays working. Any ideas on this? Or is there a better way of fixing the texture overlape and flicker, without doing anything with DX10 or 11. I have windows 7 which uses DirectX 11. I have a N…

I am using FSRecorder in a multiplayer server during an air race, so that the judges can view the race afterward. The only problem I am having, is that durring playback, the aircraft labels seen durring the live multiplayer session are not showing up durring the playback. Does anyone know how I can record the aircraft labels durring the multiplayer recording to be seen durring playback in free flight? Is it even possible? JB

Hello Guys, Now can someone help me please... ? Now my problem, My FSX keeps on locking up after about 45 minutes to an hour and a half, After it has locked up it freezes for about 10 to 15 minutes, then it will start going again, I have been searching for a fix now for just over 10-15 hours and im stressing loads over it.... I tried out the demo version of UK2000 Heathrow Extreme airport. I tested with the Siamachetti SF260 addon plane taking of from 27L. I have no other addon scenery in Europe. With default EGLL I got about 20 fps on the ground raising somewhat in the air and only slight stuttering occasionally. Autogen sparse and other slider about middle or somewhat higher. But AI traffic airliners was at 80% and GA 25%. After installing this addon fps dropped to single digits and stuttering was severe. Fps recovered somewhat in the air. Is the reason for this that the airport is situated in the big city London. Or must I expect these tremendous hit on performence on other addon airports? …

HELP Please. Ive recently starting using an xbox 360 controller to control my aircraft and I arranged all of my settings (control surfaces, axis, everything i need basically) to the specific buttons and joysticks on the xobx controller. And then I saved my settings. I load it up and it seems to be working properly, and then my controller resets to the default settings that it originally starts with. And btw I love using the xbox 360 controller, It controllers so much easier than a mouse. And just using the rudders with the triggers on the controller is rediculously easier to control the plane on the ground. But please if anyone knows why my control settings keep getting …

For those who have bought the MilViz B55, does it come with a glass option? I have the C310R and it does have the G1000 suite, which Milviz did a pretty decent job for normal usage. I could not see a glass cockpit screenshot, so I assume that it does not, but would like to know. Thanks

Guys, I use FS Build for ALL of my flights in the NGX (only thing I fly). I get an accurate Nav Log with fuel remaining, fuel used, time over, time elapsed etc. I also use Active Sky 2012 to give me upper winds; and the result its a suprising VERY accurate Nav Log and works ever time. However; its older and a little "out-dated" and Im think of getting FS Commander. Does FSC let me print off a Nav Log that has all of the extremely important fuel information so I can do fuel/time check at each waypoint, or does it just say "hey you need X amount of fuel to get from point A to point B? Hi guys,at the begnning of november Captain Sim finally released the 4.6 update for the 757 which corrected a lot of things and made the plane better than it ever was. I wondered when get this uppdate, cause I bought the box at Just Flight. Thus I checked their website every day and till now nothing has happened.Now I´ve just read in the german flight simulation magazin "FSMagazin" (very good, btw!!) that I´ll never get this update!!!! Someone from CS explaind to the editor of the magazin that "their contract with Just Flight has expired" and therefore the ones who bought the box at Just Flight will never get that update. It appears to combine both Flying Club X and Flying Club 2 for less than the price of even one of these packages on the JustFlight website directly. Also http://www.jr.com/just-flight/pe/JUA_00137/ , but as noted in another post no support from CS can be expected. These seem like amazing prices though.

Hello AVSIM'ers, I'm looking at this addon and it looks interesting to me. I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with it and how you like it or not. Would love to know. I couldn't find any end user videos or reviews. I did find a video at the developers site but I want to hear from a buyer, someone who owns it from a end user standpoint. I know as of now this addon only works for the default FSX Aircraft and maybe some not so complex third party airplanes, but hopefully maybe in the future this may change.
