hi was wondering if anyone could help. i have FSUIPC working great with my CH Quadrant and it works for every single plane except the A2A Planes (spitfire and mustang). for these two planes, the prop pitch and the mixture axis do not seem to work correctly. any help? thanks!

Hello everyone, I need your expertise to help me sort out my problems. I recently bought fsx (been using fs9 for years). Anyway I have a few problems with the default 737 and 747. With the 737 I waste WAY too much fuel and the engine runs at 80 percent N1 at FL 300 and above not sure if that's normal. The 747 feels even worse. Upon takeoff I can barely lift the plane up only past 205 kts while it's designed to rotate at 180 kts or even less. I get to FL360 it pitched to 6 degrees and ran at 90 percent N1 during cruise which in my opinion seems like I'm doing something wrong. If anyone has some answers I'd appreciate it.

I just wanted to post a public 'thanks' to Ismail for a) his absolutely fantastic damage simulation mods, and B) teaching me the stupidity of flying single engine over water. I spent a bit of time yesterday sprucing up my FSX's carribean with various freeware sceneries, and did some testing of those sceneries in the default c172 (which has Ismail's damage mod applied, as do all of my default planes). At the end of a visual inspection of Barbados, I figured I'd fly somewhere else to land, and set my sights on Piarco airport on Trinidad, which is of course about 150 nm away. Is this guy for real or just stirring trouble? He claims at 2560x1600 he gets 150fps. I am running at 5Ghz CPU and an ATI 7970 on the same resolution and I only get 18-50fps even with tweaked config files. Anyone get this performance?

The Flying Guide indicates that by turning the black knob on the ASI we should be able to set the scale to our corresponding altitude. Unfortunately this just adjusts barometric pressure. One for the SP?

Just got on FSX for the first time in months. Loaded up a short flight with the PMDG J41 from KBUF-KALB. Hard IFR weather with ice and rain + low vis. Loaded up fspax and the flight began, oh wait CTD on engine start #2....quick reset and re-loaded everything and tried again. This time everything was looking good, climbing out about 9000 left engine fire, shut down, feathered, began my diversion to KROC....Flying the entire ILS procedure by hand single engine with the procedure turn and intercepted the GS.....broke out about 500 agl runway insight...Cleared to land RWY 22(i think)...then BAM CTD!!!! HELL YES! Why do I waste my time with this. A different error this time …

I understand that FS Recorder will only work in windowed mode but since installing it I cannot get FSX to run in full screen mode whether I want to record my flights or not. When I opt for full screen I simply get a blank screen. Is this a common issue or indeed is full screen something we have to give up for the virtue of using FS Recorder? I'm one of those people that suffers from substantial frame rate loss in WM but would like ti use FS Recorder for "training" purposes.

What exactly is the difference between UTX and GEX? I know they are two separate add-ons, but do they work well together or would I need both? Thanks.

Hi, Since the ERJ V2 from Wilco is discounted at Simmarket for a couple of days, I'm thinking of getting it. However, it says that only 32-but operating systems are supported. My system is a 64-bit Win7 OS. Is there anyone who uses this Embraer on a 64-bit OS without issues?

But here goes my query: When using the Boeing 747-200/300 Series (Just Flight product by CLS) with MS FSX as my basepack, I'm getting a difference in height readings between the Pressure Altimeter and Radar Altimeter. Whatever altitude clearances I'm given from ATC, my Radar Alt always produces a reading MUCH LOWER, even when I input the given Altimeter/Baro settings by ATC (eg; 29.94). This is obviously very dangerous, particularly when setting up a landing approach in areas of high terrain. So, I increase my height, in order that my Radar Alt reaches the final …

Hello folks, I think I've found a minor issue with the rudder trim. Look at the screen: I've applied full left rudder trim. The plane naturally yaws and then rolls to the left, but the trim tab animation is inverted. It is supposed to move to the right instead. Same behaviour on the Turbine Duke. Am I missing something?

FSX has two sliders for AI traffic density, one for Airline traffic and one for General Aviation traffic. How does FSX determine the difference between Airline and GA traffic when you are creating your own AI flights? Is the difference based on an entry in the aircraft.cfg file?

I am using FSX with 2 GeForce GTX 560Ti in SLI configuration. This allows a spanning across my 3 23" Acer monitors. I have a 4th 15" monitor hooked up to GeForce 8500GT to host panels, maps, charts etc. Because of my preference to use the 4th monitor for panels etc, I prefer to fly in windowed mode. But I have encountered a problem just recently. When I start FSX, it starts in a small window in the centre monitor. If I maximize the window, it maximizes to only that one centre monitor, despite the bezel corrected resolution being 6053x1080. Hi guys. I was wondering if there was a way to get AI traffic from the late 90s in FSX. Are there any freeware packages/flight plans available? Any payware options? Installed new motherboard and FSX seems to need to be reactivated. However, rather than getting the activation screen I get an error 0008 and am stuck with 15 minute demo time.

I have somehow got some corrupt win7 system files, how, I do not know. I have spent the last 48hrs trying to sort it out, but no joy! This has come to light from get REXe and this not running on my system. It errors with a MDAC error. As MDAC is part of the win7 OS, my last resort will have to be a full system restore and all the grief that will bring getting FSX back on. So I've had a thought; if some very kind person could send me in a zip or what ever the following: system folder and files from c:\program files\common files. How come some of my addon aircraft are missing parts if I run my FSX in Directx 9 Mode. Problem is fixed in Directx 10 Mode, however I'd like to run them in Directx 9 so I don't have to deal with the flickering airport textures. Note that this is doing this on a clean install. It happens on multiple addons. Default FSX planes are not affected. See attached Image of the Columbia 400.

I was looking for a classic boeing to hand fly but I don't know the history so well and started trying to figure out the timeline. I have lost the "500" callout sound in my Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang. The guys at Flight1 found an issue, corrected it, and included it in version 1.07. Unfortunately, installing version 1.07 has NOT solved the problem for me. Can any users of the Flight1 Mustang let me know if there is a call for this in one of the config files? I have seen callout statements in the [VCockpit01] section of the panel.cfg for other aircraft, but there is nothing in the relevant file for my Mustang.
