I know you can't import flightplans into the Reality XP GNS 530 but before I actually buy the latter for my RealAir Legacy, I wonder how to enter plans made Plan-G into the GNS. Well, I know how to enter flightplans in the GNS 530 but the problem is the waypoints I create in Plan-G: I always simply drag the flightplan line in Plan-G to create new waypoints but they are simply called wpt01, wpt02, etc. and obviously that's of no use in the GNS 530... Do you ever plan a flight (with more waypoints then the departure and destination airport) and enter it manually in the 530? If so, how do you do it? Many years have passed since I goofed around with FSX. Put a new PC together and blew the dust off the FSX boxes. FSX loads fine and I can activate. I load the Accelerator pack and it won't active. It says in a nutshell, the program has reached it's install limit, activate by phone using ID code. After a decent amount of time on the phone with Microsoft, it was determined that the ID code that was retuned during the attempted activation was a code that pointed to Windows XP software. Not going well as I have a clean install of Windows 7 and never had anything else on this system. No way around this and the lady said it cannot be escalated as there is no FS technical suppo…

Hi Guys, I know it’s only July right now but I am expecting to get a new dedicated computer to run FSX only sometime in October (saving right now). I was wondering if anyone has run the pre release versions of FSX in Windows 8? Currently the wisdom seems to be that Win 7 64 bit is the best OS to run FSX. I am worried that Windows 8 might have issues with FSX and Win7 copies may disappear once it is released in October? It might be prudent to get a copy now. Yes I know software release dates often slip – but for now lets assume Win 8 will be released as announced. Any general advice on Windows 8 and FSX? Has anyone run FSX on the pre release version? Hi all, sorry to post really dum questions, but my 10-yr old son is keen on FSX (knows way more than me) and really wants to get more planes to fly. Can someone tell us the bet way to go about this? he's seem UT2 advertised, but as far as I can tell this is just traffic, and not new plans to actually fly - is that right? one of the posts on here mentioned Project Opensky - but their website says they are now closed down. are there any other good freeware options? thanks for any help and advice

FYI I couldn't wait for a full blown photo real conversion for YMAY Albury NSW, so I went ahead, took the plunge and used ADE9X for the very first time to at least update the airport to 2012 layout in the interim. In the process I added lots of extra generic buildings, internal roads, main terminal car park, heaps of extra a/c parking on new aprons and a high mesh boundary fence as well. Looks quite ok to me with any of the scenery library variations (either default, with Holgermesh, with FTX Blue etc). heya there i have problem with the 2d hud cockpit and my zoom level is 0,30 and its burried left right side airline cockpit and when your taking off looks like taking off faster same with landing looks like your landing too fast when you change view into virtual cockpit your steady speed up to take off and your land slowly into to land and i dont know what to do with this problem im tryed chaging settings in fsx itself i noticed when your at the airport gate in hud 2d cockpit vew your far away makes objects buliding trees airline names smaller and into virtual cockpit the view is right ur near the building ur at the gate can anyone tell me how do i fix this problem…

I'm in the process of setting up FSX for the umpteenth time. Currently using Flight Link G Stick III with collective and pedals for helo control. Also have PFC Jetliner yoke, throttle, and Cirrus rudders on the rig. In doing this initial setup, I had all controls attached to the system. When I went to fly the helo, I was getting "stray" inputs on the cyclic. This disappeared as soon as I unplugged the Jetliner yoke's USB connection. So far, so good. Still had the Cirrus pedals/throttle combo connected and the Flight Link controllers worked fine. The other night, I installed the PMDG 737NGX and all hell broke loose. I was recommended Milton Shupe's wonderful D18 but I'm having a problem with the vc the screen below shows: I d/l it from a different source but the result was the same. I thought maybe if I got a different version of the D18 it might fix it. So I d/l the Rusty Myers float plane and that was worse!! Can someone please help me as I really would like to fly these great planes.

I'm loving this RealAir triumph but do have an issue with a cockpit sound inflight. What I believe is either a sound related to drag over the deployed flaps or landing gear keeps replaying in a loop even though all gear and flaps are up and stowed. It's annoying...the plane is growling at me! I seem to recall Rob mentioning this bug in an earlier post, and I did tru reloading the plane using the CTL; key combination, but the problem persists. Any guidance is gratefully appreciated, thanks.

Hi, I am considering buying fsx (I am an x-plane a really excited user) However, I do not have a joystick and I dont have the space or cash to buy a good or even a decent one. Therefore I was wondering whether you could control FSX using the ipad/iphone - i.e. an x-plane remote equivalent for fsx? I heard about a couple of apps but I will like to voice my concerns: FSXControl - Very laggy, bad design (+thrust/-thrust buttons - why not have a slider), and no AP control! Hello everyone, I seem to be having a slight problem with the eaglesoft citation x. I set the plane up on the ramp, get everything running correctly, input my flight plan, takeoff and climb up to cruise and then after a while my screens and everything just goes black and if I look outside the aircraft, it has all of its protective covers out on the engines and pitot covers etc which is obviously something you would put on when shutting down the aircraft. I'm not sure on how to fix it so if anybody can help me that would be great. Cheers.

Hello, My FSX has randomly started stuttering. I have flew with no problems for a while, I defragmented my HD yesterday however I also deleted my FSX.CFG. One I deleted it I used that online tool which optimizes it. I did a flight from TNCM to EGCC today and it was perfect however when I lauched fsx up again all was ok until I had taken off where every few seconds it will like pause for a second my, Frame rates average at a round 30. When over the English channel kAcars disconnect from FSX and FSUIPC was no longer visable in addons. When I restared my fsx it was back to normal again until I had taken off again. Any Suggestions? This is for Ray (Raymar) really, who turned me on to the PNG Bush Flying product from IslandSim..In between this, the Legacy and ORBX NZNI, I don't seem to be getting any work done, lately :Big Grin: This is porterstans second video of him landing his porter in peoples back gardens in PNG..In most of them he looks like he is flying into a mountain side..In one, he looks like he is flying into a golf course that someone has built half way up a mountain..Subscribe to his feed..it has some really ace flying in it.. Hi. Is there any flight planner with SIDs and STARs which would be good? I can't find any here or anywhere. I would like if it would be able to review how the route goes. Free vroute hasnt been enough good for me. Is there any good like this? Google and Search here didnt help me to find any good.

I've only really noticed this as I've been flying VFR this week. I like Air Hauler :P One thing I have noticed that has I climb out the scenery textures seemed slightly blurred and once above 3000ft approx they get 'very' crisp and clear and stay that way. then as I start the descent they get blurred again and on final all is OK I've never noticed this before when flying 737 etc as I didn't have time to look out of the window on the climb out :lol: Is there any 'tweak' that could help out Thanks

Hi. I just bought REX last night and I have no idea what to do to get it to work. I read the manual but it wasn't very helpful. I really want it to work but even when I think I set everything up right I get in game it doesn't work. Here's what I'm doing right now: 1. Start up the REX shortcut. 2. Start up FSX. 3. Click on "I just want to fly" and let that load. 4. It automatically takes me to a new window that says "REX WX" and I hit load textures. 5. Nothing happens, it's now just a white screen. I see the little on/off switches for storm, radar, etc. but when I click them nothing happens and the screen inside the borders is still white. Can someone help …

Hi people! I got a problem with some AI aircraft. I will use an example from now on to explain my problem. I was just checking out Sint-Maarten (TNCM). At 15:20 GMT a KLM 747 should land there, so i set the time to 14:50 to see the landing. A few minutes later the aircraft popped up at the airport without a landing. It just appeared out of nowhere. It wasn't even close to 15:20 either. Could anyone help me with this problem? What can I do to make aircraft fly instead of appearing? Regards, Kevin

I’m trying to fly more mission type activities and am therefore trying to learn how to cooperate with ATC. But – they are really confusing me! I recently flew a CS 727-200 Cargo plane from KSAN to KLAX using VOR to VOR navigation at FL20 since that would be more appropriate for a 1972 flight. Those of you who are having succeess with PFE can you share your options and how you plan the flights so that you get App vectors and cleared to land from the tower? When arriving at TNCM, I never get a landing clearance, just continue your #1... Cold this be because I use the default FSX planner or that I'm not using DPs & STARs? I think that PFE can be a wonderful ATC program if only I could understand all the settings, etc. Thanks!
