So i wanted to invest in Horizon photographic scenery addons for the UK (southeast in particular), but i just found out that ORBX are developing a UK series, so would i be better to wait till this comes out as their stuff to date is pretty flawless?? Also PMDG will be re-doing their 747-400, i was planning on buying the version out currently as ive just upgraded to FSX but surely it would be better to wait for V2.0? I know PMDG have done freighter and 8i variants which i also wish to buy but are there chances this new 2.0 will feature totally remade variants too in one box??

Hi I'm hoping someone can come up with a suggestion that i havent already tried... I've been using FSX Acceleration on a Win7 64 bit PC for about a year with the following Saitek peripherals installed (using the drivers only rather than the SST software) and not had any issues, with everything running together: - Yoke & Throttle - Ruddar Pedals - Switch Panel - Multi Function Unit (autopilot etc) - Radio stack A couple of weeks ago i purchased a second Throttle unit and the Cessna Trim wheel from Saitek, and this is where things started to go badly wrong. I've tried to remove all fsuipc for throttle, removed all throttle keyboard binds and not clicked "enable controllers". My goflight GF-TQ6 has the F lever out of control, but is not set to anything as far as I know. All the rest is calibrated in windows and looks fine when testing in controlpanel. Is there any way I can get back the contol of that engine? When I take back the throttle with mouse, then it goes back immediately. Thank you in advance if anyone knows how to fix. I'm desperate and almost ready to reinstall - but hope there is a cure. /Baudie

Hi guys I'd like to purchase one of this two fabolous aircraft, but I do not know which one to choose between Sierra and Eaglet by Ant's Airplane. Don't know where they came from, but in fullscreen with external view two black lines appear on the left monitor. And when I trun around the aircraft they dissapear and appear depending on the angle. In windowed mode they are not there. I fly in fullscreen as it gives better FPS. All suggestions are welcome.

Hi there, Im having a problem with graphics during flights in FSX. Its not all the time, but is becoming more frequent. It happens when I fly in more dense areas in complex aircraft and then either change a setting or minimize FSX for some reason. When I return the graphics are completely ruined. Sometimes the virtual cockpit has dissapeared, sometimes the parts of the aircraft have dissapeared, sometimes the sky goes black, sometimes the screen goes black and I can hear the sim running but cannot see a thing. It tends to happen after FSX has been running for a long time. For example if I started at Mallorca in the QW 757 and changed settings it would be fine. …

I've been tweaking my PC and cleaning stuff up. I have My Traffic X as an AI generator, and realized that all this time I have not updated it- tried to do so and it doesn't appear to update, so will go take a look at their forum. But it got me thinking- are there any opinions about UTX as compared with MTX that anybody would like to share? I'm thinking that the next big investment in my flight sim will be a set of rudder pedals. The Bronco seems to need them. It's almost impossible to do slips to landing in the Decathlon properly w/o them. I'm basically a VFR (I Follow Roads) type aviator. I can't spring for the really big bucks models like the beauties from Precision Flight. I guess that leaves Saitek and CH. The CH's look kind of cheezy in the pictures but the price is right. The Saitek Pro Flights are about the same money but they look like the devices for measuring your feet. They don't look like any rudder pedals I've ever used. I have been debating on a new plane to purchase to add to my virtual hanger. I wanted to get some insight from the community. Price is no issue, i am just looking for a quality aircraft. I am interested in commercial aircraft not really GA. Been debating between Just Flights 146-200 Jetliner or Wilco's NEXTGEN CRJ, not restricted to either of those aircraft. I'm in New Zealand, and often fly FSX here too. However, i have my default flight saved as an aiport near Seattle. For some reason, the fact that the default flight and my physical location are in different time zones confuses FSX. For example, I start FSX at 9:19am, and go to Free Flight. The default flight is near Seattle, and the Current Time and Season says 8/12/2012 9:19am, which is the current time in NZ, not the current time in Seattle. When I load the flight and then go to World / Time and Season..., I see that the local time is 9:19am, which is wrong; the actual local time in Seattle right now is 2:19pm. Hey guys it's my first post here. Maybe you can help but I want to know why sometimes the approach function of the autopilot doesn't do its job. Although I have the ILS keyed in the radio and the NAV/GPS switch set to NAV, sometimes the approach or nav button on the ap doesnt fly the approach. Any idea why?

Hi, I've got heaps of add-ons that are filled with detail, such as PMDG's NGX and 747, and I am now looking for an add-on that enables me to walk around the aircraft and take in all the detail when I actually have it loaded in the sim, e.g. I select the NGX in the aircraft selection menu, and then I actually walk around it with a camera that can change its moving speed, like what they have on those professional-looking YouTube videos. Currently I'm looking at DBS walk and follow and Ezdok. By the way, I have TrackIR 5, so it must be compatible. Does one of the aforementioned cameras do the trick? And, can one of these enable me to walk in the aircraft with TrackIr…

From the ESP SDK "Configure a key command to Reload User Aircraft (which will reload your aircraft from within the simulation). To do this go to Settings, Controls Assignments, and scroll down to the Reload User Aircraft event. By default, it’s unassigned. Use Change Assignment to configure a keystroke combination for this event. Once assigned, you can use this key command to reload the aircraft within the simulation." Pretty sure I'm not blind, but can't seem to find the command. Is that a feature only found in Prepar3 or MS ESP an not in FSX?

Folks, I'm new to FSX, and currently have it and FS Global Ultimate for North America and Europe/Africa installed. Much of my flying will be with the PMDG 737NGX, and would appreciate some advice on what other scenery packages and weather packages I should get for the best visual experience. I like the default FSX DC-3. Not sure if there are any good Payware DC-3 or DC-2 out there that is significantly better than the default. I see there is a Flight 1 DC2 and there is a DC-3 from FS9 that has been ported to FSX from Just flight. Anyone here has those two aircrafts? I am also looking for Alaska scenery...to fly in the blizzard like condition using good ole ADF. Any suggestions? Manny

Morning! I'm having some problems with my Nvidia Inspector-settings. I followed Word Not Allowed's tweaking guide here: http://forum.avsim.n...-guide-for-fsx/ I selected AA-mode: 8xs [combined: 1x2 SS + 4x MS]. With that, my performance is good, but I got some serrated edges. Solution for those was to select AA-mode 32x [combined something, doesn't really matter now]. With 32x, absolutely no serrated edges and performance was pretty much same what I saw with 8xs. Only problem was, that when GPU temperature hits 55*c, I get artifacts. 32x seems to really take a hit even on my GTX670. (Fan 100%) So, the actual question is, am I able to somehow get rid of serrat…

As a longtime resident of the area, I was very disappointed when I discovered what standard FSX showed for this locality. Appalling, really.
