I usually start in the cockpit, but as I was contemplating getting out after a nice landing.. (had to go to the John..), it occurred to me that it is a long way down... Are there any steps / handholds to get me safely out, and later, back in?

Anyone know why all I get is a dll file when I run the scenery installer? Am I missing something? Thanks

I have the latest Imaginesim KATL scenery. For some reason at this one airport scenery I am having an issue. That is if I fly out of this airport, everything is fine but like today I did KATL-KPHL-KATL. When I fly back into KATL the Terminal B building us missing? The gates are there and the light poles are there but the building itself is gone. I refresh the scenery and it does not help. It happens every time when I go back to KATL the second time. No other scenery does it and I got a ton from fsdt, more Imaginesim stuff, aerosoft, latinvfr, etc... Any ideas whatnot cause this? I have AES as well but don't think that is the issue. Hey guys, I'm impatient to fly the Dreamliner and I'm looking for suggestions. I'm more of a casual flyer, and I mostly use freeware aircraft (in fact, I'm looking at payware Dreamliners because I haven't liked the freeware ones so far). So, I'd like a plane that behaves well when flying, doesn't require me to learn too many complicated systems (I don't mind them if they are optional), and is easy on frame rates. Also, an easy to use paintkit would be a welcome bonus. Any tips?

I am a long time FSUIPC registered user. I've re-installed FSX Gold and was trying to make my install as minimal as possible. Applied Word Not Allowed's tweaks which allways provide excellent results in terms of performance, got bak my three RealAirs, plan to re-install the LevelD767 and the flight1 Pilatus PC-12. None of these add-ons require FSUIPC, if I'm not wrong. Also, I do not have fancy hardware, or look forward to program any sort of Lua scripts, so... Does installing FSUIPC still bring me any advantages over a clean FSX Gold ?

Hi, I'm a little disappointed - Just purchased and installed opusfsx (version 2.30.02) but can't get it to run! As described in manual I created the desktop shortcut (to C:\opusfsx\fsxserver.exe). But when I click I get an error message: Simulators Installation Folder... the installation folder is undefined." Where or how can i tell the program that my fsx and P3D is installed at D:\FSX\ and D.\Prepar3D\ ? Most of addons I installed were able to this automatically. Hello Team! I used to be a big FSX user before I switched to X-Plane X and now wanting to head back to FSX. In the past I used to use Active Sky X for FSX as my weather engine. Is that still the best option or have new, better, more improved weather addons appeared? Seeking suggestions. Thanks Dennis

I am going to do a complete reinstall of fsx on my new system however I want some starter addons which will greatly enhance my experience but im not sure what addons I should get I will reinstall REX but some other addons not planes however. Hello. I have some UK2000 xtreme airports. Got them for around £23 each. I notice on amazon they are selling two at a time on these discs.... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Xtreme-Airports-Vol-Heathrow-Gatwick/dp/B006NU6JHE But I can't understand how they would be £20 for the pair, are these the same thing as on the uk2000 website.. Just wondering has anyone tried FSX in Windows 8 on a touchscreen monitor? I was in the MS store the other night and was impressed with W8 on a touchscreen monitor (minus a touchscreen one might as well stay with W7). Anyway I could see the potential of a touchscreen and a VC espesially on the larger monitors in the MS store. I would love in a simulator where I could adjust all the switches in the VC by interacting with them on the screen. That combined with Trackir would be great. Is FSX even capable of this??? Alas I'm still an FS9.75 simmer but will upgrade in the near future when I have time or my computer crashes. In the mean time W8 doesn't seem as bad as I o…

Hi everyone, Great news from ImagineSim on their website: "16 October 12 KATL for FSX The FSX version of KATL is just about set for release. We're hoping to get it ready for this coming weekend. We will also be releasing an update for the FS2004 version that fixes a few errors and includes some recompiled files for improved performance." I've waited all summer for this one!! Hello everyone again. Hope you are all doing good. So, as the title says...i only get some lag during any turns i make in Fsx (PMDG, Airbus X). For example, when i taxi in a straight line everything is smooth and ok but as soon as i have to enter the runway and line up it starts to lag a bit then again when i am lining up during the end of the turn it goes back to smooth mode . Same thing happens when i am above high density cities. When i am flying straight i have no problem at all, everything is smooth but as soon as i turn it starts to lag a bit. My question is, is there something that it can be done to prevent this lag, any tweaks or i just have to live w…

Hi guys, Please see this youtube video of the texture problems I'm getting at UK2000 EGPH after installing GenX Scotland South VFR Scenery Also getting "delayed" textures flying at low level across Edinburgh....the textures are not as sharp as other screenshots I have seen of the same scenery posted by other users; also sometimes I have already flown directly over a section of land and once its behind me it will slightly shapren up. Hi Guys, Just got this DC-3 and there are four fuel tanks, however I can only switch between left main, right main, left aux, and OFF. There is no way to select right aux when clicking through it just cycles the above in order. However the fuel gauge shows four fuel tanks, so I'm thinking there must be a way to use the fuel in the fourth tank? Or a way to select it? Anybody got this plane figured out the fuel system? and before anyone says RTFM, I did, it took me about 10 minutes I've read the whole manual but it's not very detailed.. I've read the real DC-3 doesn't have a right-aux tank or fuel transfer, so I don't know what's going on there…

Hello friends, I am noticing flashing when I change views in full-screen mode when using the NGX - I essentially see the view change to something else for a fraction of a second before it goes to what it should be. This does not occur in windowed mode. I have the ForceFullScreenVSync=1 enabled, and my my Inspector settings have vSync as application controlled. Can anyone provide any help? Thank you, Sam Kharey

Hi, As long as I have had FSX and FS9, I am still confused between the GPS/Nav switch, and the NAV and APR buttons on the Autopilot. Sometimes I make a great approach and my planes pick up the ILS and everything's fine. other times it won't pick it up at all. Also, most of the time I can't seem to get the plane to fly a published approach once it is active and magenta, or a racetrack type holding pattern. When is it correct to just use GPS mode or NAV mode? As you can see, I'm still confused on this. Can someone help me in simple terms? Thanks. Tom

Not sure how long ago this happened but it has. I noticed it a few weeks ago. Load up any default airport in FSX that has jetways and they are not there. BTW, all scenery sliders are set to max. Anyone know where to look or what particular FSX file is required for the jetways? I'm running FSX Deluxe w/SP2. Thanks!

I've been using both REX and AS 2012 textures but I just switched to OpusFSX instead and now I would like to start "fresh" when it comes to all textures by restoring all default FSX textures before I decide what textures to use in the end with OpusFSX. I have a backup copy of a fresh FSX SP2 installation including the texture folder and I was thinking of simply delete all the files in my current FSX texture folder and then copy all files from the fresh backup copy of the FSX texture folder but I'm afraid maybe that will also get rid of some added/modified textures not related to REX and AS 2012. Can anyone help me with the folowing when i had XP PRO i was able to make changes in the planes folders, and instal an FMC instead of Microsoft Installed Navigation tool.i now have windows 7 home premium, and when i have made the changes to the airplane folder, click safe, and it asked, do you want to keep the chages you made to this folder, i say yes, and up comes the item, acces denied.i contacted JSG who sold me the FMC,but he cannot help me .i cannot find anything on the microsoft help lines. I would like some day the island i lived on would look a little bit like the real thing. So far i have the original airport by TropicalSim. It look great combine with Experience X Night Light. The only thing that is missing a little work on the Scenery like the Charlotte Amalie Harbor where the Sea planes lands. Is not a big island but very beautiful an would look great with a little help in FSX. Take a look
