I'm looking for some decent add ons (freeware or payware) for military airfields. I regularly fly the Just Flight C-130 which is a great plane but it doesn't feel right to fly to and from civil aviation airports just because they look better, I have looked at some add ons but they tend to be for fighter bases (RAF Coningsby etc) and I'm looking to stay realistic and fly from transport stations, ideally RAF Brize Norton! I'm hoping there may be international bases as well which I can fly to/from but I'm looking to keep it as real as possible. I am looking for an app that will give me atc chatter relevant to where i am flying in or out of, that play's in the background. I have found two products that seem to offer this, but would like some present user input (like performance hit,realism, etc) and any info on any other app that might be out there. What the best A320 payware aircraft for FSX?

Its so trial and error (and hence tiring) when you pick a large airport and get a list of nearly 100 places to start from in the drop down 'Choose runway or starting position' in FSX. Is there a web site or information somewhere that lists most of the worlds medium to large airports along with a map showing where all the parking, terminal, docking designations are located?

Aircharts says on their coverage page that Canadian airspace is covered, but typing in CYUL, CYYZ, CYVR returns a "no results found." Are there ANY Canadian airports that Aircharts actually covers?

Hey Folks, I´ve got an iPad 2 which I mostly use for Checklists an Charts but I know that there are some moving map apps for FSX out there. I just have the problem that I don´t have a Wireless LAN connection on my PC (old school LAN cable) but an Bluetooth connector which is working (Airplay does work flawlessly). So has anyone found such an app which uses Bluetooth instead of Wireless LAN for connection?

I'm looking for a recommendations for a good (nice visuals and good FDE) 727. I'm downloading the Thomas Ruth 727 but I wonder if the payware Captain Sim 727 is worth the investment. I read the AVSIM review of the CS727 and it seems to have some challenges. Any advice would be appreciated.

So it sure looks delicious. My addiction reigns loose. DOES it work well in FSX? P3D? Specifically within the Carenado B200's VC alongside the XP 530W ? Does it have good 3D buttons and frame for VC incorporation? Any known issues? I know the 530W is a party-crasher in P3D

Is it worth the money? Is it frame rate friendly? I'm looking to disable reflections, on both my airplanes, and scenery. Does anyone know how to do this? Also is there a tweak that reduces polygon counts in scenery? Thank you in advance.

Hey guys, I could do with some advice and help with using the enb series mod. I have treied several times to use this mod but without any success. FSX either doesn't load, or only works in windowed mode (very odd.) Then when I do get it to work, things just don't work very fluid like. So each time I've dropped the idea. I run FSWC and also Shade, could these have anyting to do with it? Any suggestions will be gratefully received guys, cheers.

After trying out the demo I've decided to grab this add-on. Unfortunately after the purchase I still get the Limited Version message. Did a quick peek through this section, didn't find anything similar or couldn't so I posted this thread. Info: Trial was uninstalled. (although I didn't do any registry clean up) Path for initial DL was C:\OpusFSX, install directory D:\OpusFSX. I've moved everything (by that I mean .msi, key file etc) from C... to D... install directory. Win7 64 HP, UAC (run Opus in Admin mode). And another question, why only Opus is able to install in C:\, D:\, etc. paths? I like to have everything sorted neat (have a special folder for FSX addons…

I wanted to make mention of this error--don't know if my observation has been mentioned here before. Like many others, I would get the occasional g3d.dll error, usually when I was running with Tileproxy. An annoyance when it happened (usually mid flight for me) but I learned to live with it. On average I was seeing the error after every two hours or so of flight. Anyway, I recently purchased a couple of aircraft that hit my performance. The performance hit was enough to keep Tileproxy from refreshing the textures as the aircraft flew along. Hi guys n gals, I was wondering if anyone could recommend or suggest some good scenery for Japan? ..... I am preferably looking for payware standard stuff, but good freeware would of course be great too. I must admit, I was slightly adamant about trying another weather/camera addon! Picked up 'OpusFsx' this morning,and did a few test flights,and to say that I'm impressed, is an understatement! A fine piece of softwre indeed,very simple to use, with great results! Furthermore, the commitment being shown by the developer in supporting the product,and releasing frequent updates is exemplary. Today I flew into hilo airport runway 26 and noticed that to my right there was a square landclass next to the airport that looks like a large island. I have hawaii fsdt airports, gex tropics, utx usa, fsg genesis, rex essentials. The only new thing I have added recently is rex essentials. I have not noticed this before. Any suggestions for a fix. thanks

Hey, I decided to take a plunge yesterday and I have to say that the whole package, combined with the REX E textures is extraordinary. So, congrats for the package from my part. I used the EZDOK addon for quite some time now and got used to it quite well. The part that could be improved a bit is the Live Cammera. My questions are: - Is there a possibility to assign a key/button to cycle through the defined views (forward and backwards)? If I am not mistaken, this can`t be done at the moment, but I presume it could be added later on. - EZDOK has a nice feature of adding a free view cammera (outside), where you can freely move around with a use of directional keys…

Is there any way to shorten the flight distance even more than the game sliders allow? I have about 30 flights listed and only 5 of them are less than 100nm. Longest is 390nm, average is around 190nm or so. I don't have time in the evening to fly for 2 hours+ just for 1 flight, and frankly I also find it boring. I've been 16x speeding the game up but might as well not fly at all cause it really isn't enjoyable flying in a blurry, rounded landscape. Ideally, I'd like to limit the trips to 45min or less. I'm set up in Alaska btw.

Hi guys, after a long time trying I reinstalled FSX, this time I used ENB instead shade and got an almost perfect setup, with amazing look and very good FPSs. I was almost able to finish my first flight, however ENB crashed when I triggered the instant replay. I was aware about all the CTD issues, what i would like to know is if there is any way to troubleshoot this problem. Thanks in advance.
