Hey has anyone seen an FS model for an MD-80 and or an A320 with winglets. And anyone seen an seen an 737 model with blend winglets like the 777 has?

Hi (Long time no posts) I am having a problem with AI Flight planner to create a stopover. In the early 2000s Greece's Olympic Airways flew to YSSY, and I am trying to recreate AI traffic for this. I add the leg for LGAV to VTBD, and save it. I then reopen the leg and try to add the VTBD-YSSY leg. It appears to be successful, until i save it again. When I do this instead of it being LGAV - VTBD VTBD - YSSY it becomes VTBD - VTBD (yes, Bangkok to Bangkok) VTBD - YSSY. How do I add a stopover? I have been asked by some others to start up a new thread regarding ProATC-X to try to bring everyone up-to-date. The latest update is 1043 and the next update is expected to be released soon. Back in June, Al Chock, here at AVSIM, did an excellent short and sweet review of this product and that thread went into 26 pages and 647 posts - http://forum.avsim.net/topic/376905-a-quick-fly-by-of-pro-atc/ . It became difficult to follow for some as no one really has the time to read 647 posts. I have heard that the next release will contain new runway data as the current data in ProATC is out-of-date. I think this will be the major update everyone is really looking forward …

I'm wondering if this will work in FSX? The TSS forum link is broken and their web site says the package is for FS9. However SimShack sells what seems to be the same package and advertises it as FS9/FSX. Do FS9 sound packages normally work in FSX or do you need a "native" FSX sound package? Another question I guess is whether or not a sound package is worth the bucks at all. Is there a noticable difference? I fly mainly the CS 727 and PMDG MD-11 so would get both as sound (for me anyway) really increases the level of immersion.

I seem to remember asking the following question but cannot for the life in me find the answer. How do I change the height of the tower view in FSX and what are the parameters that I must alter ?

Hi people, I have a problem in that I want to backup my keyboard commands that I have made within FSX Controls. I end up deleting the majority of them as they're not needed by me but they always end up re-appearing if I choose to delete my FSX.cfg every now and then. Is there a file soemwhere that I can back-up once I've set all my keyboard commands? Thanks

Hi All, I don't know if i am posting this in the right place but here goes. I have a very high end computer, but i feel that i am not getting the performance everyone else is getting. Here are my specs: Intel i7 2600k @ 4.6GHz 8GB of RAM GTX570 Superclocked 1280MB 2.5 TB of HD REX,UTX,GEX I feel like all the guys on youtube with similar and even exactly the specs are getting alot better frame rates than I am. Sometimes coming into Boston in the Level-D 767 at night with the UTX night lighting settings turned down i am getting under 15 FPS. Can anyone help?? Thanks!!

Hello Simmers! In my FS, with REX Essential, my fog is blue, and not just a little bit blue but fully blue. At dawn, the fog is the colour of the sky (orangey) and at dusk, same thing. I hate to bother anyone, but, I have a problem that you may be able to help with. I had to reformat my hard drive and am trying to reinstall FSX. I put FSX disk 1 into the DVD drive and it sits and you can hear the drive working, I let it sit and work for over 30 minutes and it only shows about half of the files on the disk. I have 2 DVD burner drives and it does the same on both drives. Is it that I have bad drives or has the Master disks somehow gone bad? Thanks Harry

All I went flying this morning and noticed as I crossed the UK coastline that the coastline appeared square/angular. So I looked at a top-down view and noticed that FSX is loading detailed scenery everywhere other than in the immediate proximity of my aircraft. Any advice? Thanks eric

Greetings all, I seem to be having an issue with the pitch control on FSX. I dont have any yokes or throttles, just use the keyboard for now. The num2 and num8 keys dont do anything. This affects the default planes (eg: King Air), and also my PMDG MD11 add-on. What's weird is that the other keys (num6/8 for ailerons, num 1/7 for stab, and num 3/9 for throttle) all seem to work fine. Also, the 2/8 pitch control keys work ok with the PMDG 737NGX. Hi all. I'm having a problem with the ground textures. When I first start my flight they are all lovely and nice. Once I take off and maybe change to an external view to admire the scenery the ground textures go all 'washed out'. I can get them back by going into the menu and changing either Mesh or Texture res, but then the same thing happens again almost straight away. The pictures probably explain it better. Hi gang, I own both the QualityWings and the Captain Sim 757. Now, I'm not going to blatently slam and criticize one or the other, but I do have my favorites. One of my favorite things about the QW is the superior soundset compared to the CS, which sounds more like a static sound than the QW does. Now, out of sheer boredom, I started to wonder if it was possible to take the QW soundset, and merge into the CS model, with little difficulties. Is it possible to do, without extreme compromises?

Hey there, I just purchased Opusfsx and love it so far, but just a question about the accuracy of winds aloft. Are they based on real world data? because flying out of LAX to MIA today the wind direction didn't seem to correspond to the aviation weather.gov winds map which is seen here http://aviationweather.gov/adds/winds/ Also, Does it use VATSIM weather? Also, when flying towards the east coast the winds were 90% of the time blowing to the west. Constant headwind. They're supposed to be blowing to the east as they always do.

Hi guys I was wondering if you could help me out with a Military AI question. I have Ultimate Traffic II for FSX and along with the updated schedules it fits my needs perfectly. However here is my problem. Every so often on VATSIM I will be flying up to a place like Fairbanks and they got guys with C-130s taking off to some other airport. Because Ultimate Traffic II does not have Military traffic, FSINN just turns them into a Civiliar plane. Usually at Bombadier or a Learjet. I know about the Military packs like from World of AI etc. However I do not need AI traffic or alot of different models. All I am basically looking for is 5 AI Military planes I can add to FSX. T…

Having read the threads relating to this software, it has got me very interested. Not particularly for the weather engine, although this sounds great, but more so for the different camera views which are talked about. My question is, is it possible to introduce two additional side views, ie from the cockpit, to run on a networked PC while the client PC is running a virtual cockpit in fullscreen? What I want to achiveve (if possible) is retain my VC (in fullscreen) on my 30" monitor and then have a side view from the pilot's window and also one from the FO's window, running on either side of the main VC view on the 30" monitor? Tried the latest version(not beta) and noticed FSX now freezes for about 15 sec and than an error message comes up saying the weather theme doesn't exists. OpusFSX is configured correctly and points to the FSX folder(UAC is disabled and everything is set to run as admin). Using Process Monitor I was able to deduce that the weather theme file Opus creates has its disposition set to delete and is deleted before FSX can process the load theme command and thus the message appears. I have recently upgraded my FSX drive to an SSD as well.

I currently have mine set at 12 in the config (previously trying to get more overcast out of other weather engines), but was wondering if anyone has experimented with this in Opus, or if Opus has any recommendation directly. I'm beginning to think that 12 might not be necessary with Opus!
