I am interested in purchasing a smaller aircraft for less-automated, shorter flights in FSX. Hi all After several days of trying to Solve this issue, I hope that someone in here Can help. When ever a flightplan is loaded in fsx all ai traffic is practically sunck half way down the pavements at the airports, some even flying at a low altitude up side Down untill it hits a terminal building. Some others ai aircrafts is more just jumping up and down. I hope this is the correct forum, I was considering posting in the AVSIM Flight school forum but opted for here instead. My finger is almost on the button to purchase the Reality XP GNS 430 for the Realair Lancair Legacy. I've been rooting around the forums for threads related to this add-on and I find a few people have issues with the fact that it doesn't import FSX flight-plans. A few others have commented that although it has a lot more features than the default GPS they are rarely if ever used and is therefore not a necessary upgrade. hi there, how do you edit text in the aircraft cfg,file?(i.e. on a ryanair B737) i wanted to keep the original aircraft the same and copy the file and change the registration on the fuselage and on the wings if the registration is there(i want to be able to have both of them in flight simulator)-i am new to this and have no experience in this area.i wanted to do this with both ai and flyable aircraft-also would u need the authors permission for this? regards, Peter Dungan.

Guys what does the weather interface look like? is it easy to be able to plan you climb and descent forecast? Can you enter a flight plan like as2012? and from what I hear you can't run everything (the whole interface)across a network right? but it is planned in a future version correct.

So I uninstalled OpusFSX demo doing the normal uninstall procedures in Windows. But now I have OpusFSX Aircraft External View, and Aircraft Internal View, when I access the menu with right click mouse. How do I remove this! It really ####### me off when we download 3rd party programs and the uninstall does NOT uninstall...What is that??? \

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if someone has some ideas for this. I'm flying mostly around the UK/Europe and I have both GEX and UTX. I find myself disappointed with the lack of visual variety when travelling between these countries. Everywhere in Europe and the UK I go I find myself seeing the same old field textures repeated endlessly and the same old Urban textures to the point where there feels like very little difference between flying into London and flying into Munich. I've seen pictures of these places and they are actually fairly diverse with fields of all different shapes, sizes and colours. Building styles are also very different. This is just to let everyone know that some lads in this forum recently offered some advice. They said go get some fsdt airports and gsx. Best advice ever. They work wonderfully well on my system and appear to offer better performance than default. Thanks guys. These forums have been very helpful. OpusFSX does so many things that I've gotten a bit confused. Is it possible to use the product for nothing more than weather injection on a networked flight sim setup, while continuing to use something like Wideview for display synchronization? --or does LiveView have to be running for weather sync to work? -M.

Hi All, My simpit is nearing completion and I have started to look at GPS options for some added immersion.. I checked out the vrinsight 5 but I am put off by the fact that fsx has to run in windowed mode, you see I use 3 projectors in nvidia 3d vision, putting fsx into windowed mode means I cannot run the screens in 3d. Next there is the Emuteq gns 530 which works with reality XP's gns 530, but again it must be run in windowed mode. I will keep on looking but does anyone know of a solution that will work with FSX in fullscreen or a workaround, im thinking maybe fsuipc gpsout with the GPS software on a networked PC and the hardware from vrinsight or emuteq but have fo…

Could anybody familiar with the Flight1 BN-2's autopilot give a little info on how the navigation functions on the autopilot are supposed to be operated? I thought setting the Nav switch on the captain's panel to GPS and selecting NAV hold would follow the current route in the GPS (I was using a DirectTo), but that didn't work, and LNAV keeps popping up with LNAV and HDG and following the heading bug, which seems to be fixed to some unknown course.

Is there any way to get a GMT display on screen when watching AI with the Traffic Explorer. It sure would be nice. I looked at the Shift-Z and don't see GMT as a possible display item. Thanks, Bob.

Hi All I'm an FS2004 user thinking about taking the plunge and giving FSX a go. This is largely due to being unhappy with the graphical aspects of FS9. I love and seek sharp, crisp scenery when flying, and am a bit frustrated with the way FS2004 looks despite having spent lots on addons etc. So firstly my question would be to those who are familiar with FSX - is my current set up capable of delivering an enjoyable simming experience, and can I expect better visuals - or would I have to compromise and have all the sliders low to get it to run smoothly (thus defeating the object). Hi everyone, I recently rebuilt a new i7 3770K rig. I keep seeing this NHancer program that seems to boost performance when set up properly? 1) is this a new driver as well, or just an enhancer to my existing nvidia driver? 2) where should I download this NHancer software from? 3) I see Driver sweeper is no longer available, as I want to update my drivers. What should I use in its place and most importantly, where is a SAFE place to download from? I do not run any antivirus software on my rig as I do not usually browse the web. Basically I'm trying to put together a list of all the Airports that we can download for the Alaska region. Later today I'll be purchasing Flight 1's Ultimate Alaska, Anchorage X, and Dutch Harbor X and making my trek up there with my Turbine Duke from KBVS. This is currently what I have/know of. ORBX PAKT Tongass Fjords Anchorage X Dutch Harbor X And that's all I really know of. I'd like to be able to hopefully start doing a lot of flying around Alaska but I have this serious phobia about flying into default airports... Btw to anyone that owns Ultimate Alaska do they do anything to the default airports besides better blending?

Thanks to ad_verbum here is a wonderful tool where you can monitor how much of virtual address space your fsx is consuming. And using this tool I also realized how many irrelevant DLL's FSX is loading when its not required for the area you are flying. If you have 200 addon sceneries in your fsx...when you start fsx, no matter where you want to fly, it loads every single DLL. Hmmm... its a waste of resources. Orbx has many DLLs for animated people and what not. And I am flying in So Cal..and those DLLs are taking up resources. No wonder I am getting OOMs. Not sure how to avoid that..except disabling 90% of the sceney or have multiple versions of scenery.cfg an…

I was cleaning my HD with Treesize and saw there were 18gb of 9mb .bmps in a \Pictures\Flight Simulator X folder. What's writing these? I know FSUIPC has a snapshot function but that is unchecked.
