I just got the IRIS F-15E "Mudhen Driver" a couple of days ago, but something seems odd with the speed. The aircraft will only accelerate to about 550 KIAS (and about 600 in a dive), but I checked online and in the IRIS documentation, and it's max speed is over Mach 2.5. So that means that it should have supercruise capability (at least I'd think so), and I can't even get supersonic with full afterburner. I assume I'm flying it incorrectly, but what could I be doing wrong? Thanks, boeing247 (and I'm asking here because I can't seem to get into the IRIS forums--and there are more people here )

Is it just me or is flying in the rain really unrealistic and just looks plain old rubbish? Is there any addon that can enhance the environment when flying in wet conditions to simulate for example the reflections on the ground that you get after rain, standing water, more realistic rain effects etc? Hi all, Since a couple of days I have a problem which virtually makes my FSX unusable. When starting up a flight at the gate in a default aircraft at a default airport, I usually have between 20 - 30 fps (fps internally limited to 30). After +- 30 seconds at the gate, my fps drops to about 2 or 3 fps for about 5 to 10 seconds after which it gets back to normal. I first noticed this after installing MegasceneryX california. So what have I tried to solve this? -external fps limiter -lowering settings (scenery, weather, traffic etc.) -rebuilding a new fsx.cfg file (I had the fsx.cfg tweaked by the Bojote tool, and this used to work great) -install new GPU …

I'm getting a few errors that seem to be between the afcad and the groundpoly. The lights and taxilines seems like they're gliding and moving under the ground. The photoscenery approach to Runway 28 floats above the actual ground. Anyone else experiencing these issues? For what it's worth, I had the floating runway 28 problem with their earlier version, too.

Afternoon all... Something hit me today. Just saw a video on the Aerosoft forum for the Airbus Extended and in the 2:00 minute mark thru 2:30 there are some shots landing at Dubai. Judging from the looks of the artwork on the buildings in the scenery surrounding the area at the 2:17 mark looking very similar to the texture style FlyTampa used at Kai Tak, I would bet that it's from FlyTampa. It's been rumored they have been "re-booting" that scenery for a while and wouldn't surprise me if its released soon. Is there a know fix for the leaning bug in FSX, fs9, ms flight? I am referring to the fact that on reciprocating engined aircraft, and the higher you go the higher this problem is evident, when you start leaning the FF initially starts increasing, then, after a while, it correctly decreases as it should have right from the start. This is less evident at lower altitudes FLs, but above, say, 6000' it is easy to notice. Is there a fix?

Hi guys.. Does anybody know of a way to remove the VC lightening effect in FSX. Basically there is a quick flash of white in the cockpit and It sucks. Here is a video where you will see it right at the start (ignore the sun flicker) and also on final approach there are one or two cases of it. Hi all, I've just upgraded my version of GEX Europe 2.10 DVD set to the new 2.30 version. I now have two folders of GEX in program files, one is called Ground Enviroment X Europe which is the original install and after the upgrade to 2.30 I have another folde named GEX Europe, so my question is do I delete the original folder or leave them both there? hope some one can clarify this for me. Hi all, I've recently purchased Microsoft Flight Sim. When i go through the install it hangs and gives a error 1335 and reads Cabinet file D1fea--12.cab is corrupt. Any solutions to this or maybe i need to return this cd. I have a pretty robust gaming computer with lots of memory so not sure if this is an issue or not. Help!!! thanks, Newbie Mike

Hi all, I would just like some advise on which North America/Canada terrain package I should purchase? I have GEX/UTX Europe and very happy with that but I'm unsure if I should get UTX USA/Canada or GEX USA/Canada? I guess its either UTX or GEX, can someone advise. Cheers Rod

Since couple of days i observe a really strange behavior in my simulator. After a departure from an airport, where all the surroundings look as they should, no matter the course things change. After passing the initially loaded area i'm now flying above a non-loaded-look-alike area. Overflying it i see autogen slowly loads here and there but the ground textures are simply unrecognizable. I'm not speaking about any add-on sceneries here. It happens with the default ground and autogen. I tried settings FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION, but the result with 0.11, 0.15, 0.33 or even 0.50 looks the same. The DisablePreload=1 didn't help either. Here's my fsx.cfg: [quote] [DISP…

This morning I installed a bunch of outstanding windows updates including the most recent Nvidia driver 310.33. After a restart I went into FSX and saw that the anti-aliasing settings from Nvidia Inspector weren't registering and everything was jagged. I went into inspector worried that somehow everything got reset, but my inspector settings are still there including my AA settings (8xS) which I have set to override. I tried rolling back the driver and even installing the 301.42 driver released in the spring, but I'm still only getting jaggy lines. I always left the AA setting in FSX unchecked, checking it gives me application AA but its not the greatest, and I've alw…

I bought OPUS and have done 2 flights today with it. Granted the areas I flew in didn't really have any clouds or weather I did seem to have a run in with some wind issues and wanted to get a perspective on it. I was descending into Denver and around 24K down I had some noticeable wind shifts. I had a headwind the entire flight that switched abruptly to a tailwind. Further into my descent and closer to Denver I had several fluctuations where my speed went from 280 indicated to 230 and then back up to around 260. During this I watched the wind direction indicator trying to make up it's mind. Went from a headwind to a tail and then finally to a slight cross which turned…

I have been monitoring this forum since it began. I have been using AS2012 and before that ASE. I have FSUIPC registered version and are not experiencing any sudden wind shifts at altitude. I am enjoying correct winds and temps aloft at all levels as well as METAR correct surface conditions at airports beneath my aircraft.. ATC has been correctly announcing runways for my UT2 AI traffic at airports as I fly over them. I fly high altitudes and DO NOT EVER use the DWC smoothing option since it is totally unrealistic. Hi all, A fantastic programme but I am having some problems which are client related. 1 should I get weather on the client pc's? I have the client/server connection established. 2 this has come up before, I am unable to copy the client CAM file over. I can do it manually and have triple checked permissions. I have also shared the whole of drive c 3. I can't get aircraft view to work on the clients. I always get a cockpit view. Any help would be much appreciated Roger

Does anyone know of a patch for the French scenery addon called FRPX when used with FSX SP2, please? It seems such a waste of a super freeware scenic enhancement if it can't work with SP2. I've tried several times, but it causes a CTD every time. Help would be much appreciated. Jock
