Hi, as many of us I have REX and other texture providing addons installed. After purchase I did some experiments with all of those texture sets. But meanwhile I change my sky, clouds or water textures only at rare intervals. So, I would like to ask, how do you handle your addon textures. Which textures do you change on what occasion and how often do you change them? Cheers, Harry

I have seen that there is a 4gb_patch.exe available at some sites. Has anyone used it in FSX to get 2 more Gb of memory available with 64 bit systems? If so, does it work without any problems. When I was doing my search I have seen warnings about errors occurring when using the patch and the possibility of getting malware in the exe file. Is there any recommended site to download it that has malware and virus free downloads? Thanks.

Shalom and greetings all my pals, Chanukah is getting too close (it starts on Dec 8) and I want to treat myself to few airport sceneries and maybe one payware plane. Does anybody know which airport scenery has OUTSTANDING AND BEST BEST cargo facilities??? I mean lots of cargo hangers where widebody cargo planes can park inside, lots of cargo trucks around, lots of cargo tins around, lots of cargo gates, lots of cargo airline logos on buildings, etc etc. I am under impression that Aerosoft PANC scenery is the one but I am wondering if anybody knows the best cargo scenery?? Does anyone know a website for finding flight information in Europe. What I want is to be able to specify a city pair and have it tell me who flies the route and with what aircraft. Further information such as flight times, numbers, gate info etc would be an added bonus. Cheers

Hello I have decided to rest ASE2012 and try out the OpusFSX weather engine. I would like some advice on how to properly integrate the ASE2012 textures with OpusFSX. Since there is no "import" function in OpusFSX for cloud textures, I beleive I need to make some setting adjustments in ASE2012 to render the cloud textures but disable the weather downloading? Not exactly sure how these programs best fit so any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks

Morning, Firstly let me start off with a SORRY! I know this type of thread has been done to death. I have had a search along with looking at addon markets and im still non the wiser. I was planning on waiting for PFPX and jumping in with both feet, but Ive come to the realisation that if i dont keep progressing with the learning curve that is a procedural **, my simming time would dwindle. The way I would do it at the minute is to go to rFinder and get a rough flight plan, from that I would get the sids and stars for the arrival and departure and match them up to my initial and final waypoints. In the Abacus / First Class Simulations package titled "Take to the Skies", with throttle fully closed ( joystick or keyboard commands ) all A/C "float" forever, and will not descend to land. With throttle fully "off" , and a 10 degree noise-up attitude, A/C maintains constant altitude and 80k airspeed, I tired increasing payload, but no effect. No response from Abacus / F.C.S. support. My profile contains "set-up" details. Searched this subForum but found no clues. Suggestions will be appreciated.

Although SimplatesX is properly insrtalled and licensed, the Abode Acrobat installation cannot read the plates Anyone getting this problem? Solution?

I know this was mentioned in some other thread but I can't find it right now -- I'm having issues with this cloud being over the cirrus clouds -- it spans my whole view point ~ 60 KM; is this a texture issue (using rex essential here) or an OPUS issue? And how can I fix it? Thanks.

Hi Guys, I'm have been getting this happening to my aircraft after several minutes of flight, I will lose sections of the external textures and they never come back for the duration of the flight??!? Any ideas??

Although I was able to properly install and update OPUS, with license, and FSUIPC, with license there too, OPUS does not download current weather for P3D while in Windows 8 Pro ASE works fine I did not check on FSX under Windows 8 yet

I have recently built a PC and then decided to get into the FSX world, got the game and many add ons and got lost in manuals and setup procedures as I sort of did a mistake of adding everything at once.. I know this topic was covered a few years ago but I just recently discovered it and thought to pass it along. In the past I would open up FSX and then bring up the Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete), click on the process tab, right click on fsx.exe and assign it a High Priority. This action allows FSX to take precedent over all other programs running and afforded a marked improvement in FSX performance. Unfortunately, this had to be repeated every time I opened FSX since there was no way previously you could "save" the priority setting in the Task Manager. Hello all. I took a bunch of time today and installed Woai and all of the packages. Everything looks great and I'm full of traffic..... My only problem is as soon as it's dark the aircraft are dark. Hi All, I have been working on a fresh install of FSX for a few days with lots of little problems cropping up---I decided to do this re-install of FSX because I was experiencing far too many little error messages and was unable to load some new ORBX scenery (I eventually, after days of work, decided that the problem was not with the ORBX product but with my copy of FSX--or possibly my Computer in general). Hello, Guys! I always use ILS to land a plane. Problem is that my vertical diamond shape comes top to bottom near landing instead of going bottom to top (as every one say that this should go G/S diamond from bottom to top) while ILS landing. I've landed hunderds of airplane on FSX but by top to bottom Glide Scope. Look at my plan, I ususally fly B747 and near about 15nm away from landing, I keep my airplane at 3000ft altitude and 200Knots speed. I keep my flaps full at this time. When plane detect G/S, then it itself own come down and I keep speed 160Knts, then plane lands successfully. But I'm not happy by this top to bottom Diamond shape icon, I want it shou…

Howdy Team! Can you shed some light as to what the best ai aircraft addon package might be today? In the past I used to manually manage my ai world with PAI aircraft and such but the task got to be daunting with all the constant changes. I'm now looking for a package that would include world airlines, good looking aircaqft, updates to schedules, and GA.
