So I recently purchased Prepar3d. I have OpusFSX installed and works great in FSX. My question is how do I go about installing it into Prepar3D? Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, After using OpusFSX I'm feeling like I want more, and maybe it's possible. OpusFSX is great for me since I seek IFR conditions whenever possible, but I'm now noticing more than ever the other flaw with FSX that has yet to be overcome. The snow effect primarily is an eyesore. Is there any possibility that these effects may be improved in FSX in the future? After all this time since FSX's release to see the improvements that OpusFSX has brought to the sim for me, I can only imagine that within the next 6 years the falling snow and rain may be able to look more realistic also. I had to do a reinstall of fsx today, So i opened up my first flight and the Top Menus were not in English? I have no idea why this happened or how to fix it. Its not readable at all.. :(

Hi, I am attempting to install C-5M Super Galaxy plane. After installation, I don't see the files in FSX path. I have my UAC down, I turned off my virus scan, & the path I'm puting it on is Programs(x86)/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator FSX. I have Windows 7 OS, 64 bit. I have unzipped the file & have Run as Administrator, but still can't see it. I'm doing this from the disc. If I use the path on the CD, it puts it out there, but the folder is empty. When I click on the CSM_FSX icon to install I get an "AIR" file error message. I cannot contact Area 51 because my virus scan blocks it. Says there is a virus attached to that site. Can some…

I am in VNKT (Katmandu) Airport. I see a Daedalus with the label 757-200. OK I want to replace all the Daedalus 757-200 with a aircraft of mine.. or findout the airliner behind the AI I am seeing parked in VNKT and then replace that airliners 757-200 with one of my aircraft or a paint that I already have installed.. even if its unrealisitic. Hi hope someone can help here. Im trying to create a view of my instruments in a small window on my extra screen I just cant seem to figure how to do it. iv'e read instructions, checked forums, but still stuck. what i do is put the view i want on my fsx, click on add camera in opus, name view, and all is well i can get this view every time i want it by just clicking on the name, now heres the problem, if i move the view onto a second screen then that seems to become my main screen, in other words my main screen is a blank fsx, and i cant get any views to show in it. the only view i have is on my second screen any help would be great thanks mike

Recently I keep getting the so called “Flying Tips” in FSX during flights. It’s getting slightly annoying. For example Insufficient fuel: Press Ctrl+X....or..... altimeter set incorrectly Press B This is happening on all aircraft whether it is Payware, freeware or default.This started to happen around the time I installed Opus, and I passed it off that altimeter was incorrect because of the new weather engine and it was no big deal. But even when reset I would still get this message The fuel issue also has me completely confused. Im sure this has been asked however I can t seem to find an answer so bear with me. I have used AS2012 since its early days and I hate the way it take forever to load and never seems to be right. I personally enjoy finding some nasty weather in the USA and flying my PMDG-737 NGX into a good IFR approach. With AS2012 I can download the lastest METAR turn off real time updates and fly to it, when i get there the weather will or should be unchanged. I looked through the Opus docs. and even downloaded the demo thinking of buying. The one thing I couldnt seem to do what I describe above. I know you can point Opus to your own METAR file however I cant find anything that…

I have been posting in another thread regarding the benefits or whatever after upgrading (fresh install) to Win 8 Pro - Now I wonder if anyone can give me some advice as to how I need to set up my scenery and add ons. My main sceneries are within the UK, but I do have some Aerosoft stuff that is mainly Germany and France. The rest outside of Europe doesn't really matter at the moment. I only fly Airliners (NGX,Level-D, 747) is there any one here who maybe flies the same aircraft? And maybe they can share their OPUS and or FSUIPC settings? Merely a suggestion for a future build: Would you be able to include an option to make the cirrus deck randomly appear- like maybe based on certain weather conditions. There is nothing in a metar that would indicate the presence of cirrus, but maybe we could have a system like in Activesky, where say, they only appear 30% of the time. Currently, I have a cirrus deck no matter the weather or conditions. There are clear days with cirrus, and clear days that are glass clear with no clouds.

Just a quick question for you guys: With current day airbus addons (and the ones coming in the near future), do you think it will be unproblematic to use a CH yoke as the input controller in an Airbus? What are your experiences? I ask this because airbus is obviously different from other manufacturers as they use a joystick and not a yoke.

I've been wondering a bit about the different settings for water effects in FSX. As I understood it the difference between 1.x and 2.x is that 2.x will in fact give you a more realistic looking water that looks more "alive" with waves that appear to move but looking at the various 2.x settings (low, medium, high and max) are there anything else that will change but what will reflect in the water? In lots of screenshots at various places the water looks amazingly real but I find it hard to achieve that kind of realistic looking water myself. I'm currently using AS 2012 water textures. After I got new Asus motherboard and overlocked my CPU to 4.4ghz I have started to get some ugly screen tearing, especially with addon airports and gauges in cockpit whenever moving. I have Bojotes tweaks in my FSX.cfg, under [graphics] I have ForceWindowedVsync=1 , and even tried to set forced Vsync from Catalyst Control Center, however nothing seems to help, whenever moving gauges and sides of taxiways & runways and buildings of custom airports still have this ugly tearing instead of looking smooth. HI all! I've been desperately trying to find a fix for the runway texture errors displayed in the pictures and so far had no luck :blush: I've ruled out the common runway flickering problem since I have DX 11.This problem of the runway being cutoff appears at several other airports and I'm beginning to wonder if it has anything to do with the elevation of certain runways since it appears that the airplane actually sinks into the ground where the texture error occurs. I've just picked up a Saitek X52 system and am loving it from the very little I've played with it, but something strange is going on. I have buttons on the joystick assigned to views through EZDok, and one of the buttons I have assigned to a camera is also dropping/retracting the landing gear when I press it. I've gone into the control settings in game and have cleared all assignments relating to landing gear and reassigned it (to a different button). So I have a button which drops/retracts the landing gear which I DO want, and I have another button which drops/retracts the landing gear and I DON'T want it to. I'm trying to use a Turtle Beach X12 headset for ATC comms while engines and enviornment sounds are on separate conventional speakers. The following advice worked fine for a previous Plantronics headset: For Win 7 go into control panel, choose sound. Assuming you have 2 sound devices (primary & another card) you will see your devices listed. Right click on the speaker device, set as "default sound device". Then click on the device you want to use for ATC, right click, set as "default communication device". After you do this FSX should then see the 2 separate devices on the drop downs on the sound tab. I don't plan to export this to the real world, however I am looking for a realistic experience as much as possible I plan to conduct this on the PE network..
