Hi, I recently had to uninstall & reinstall FSX. I am attempting to add SDK to FSX, but when I insert disc 1, it immediately starts the installation. If I stop the installation & click on the FSX symbol, to gett the SDK folder, it just loops & never opens. I had previously installed SDK without a problem before the uninstall. Can someone help? As an Opus supporter, loyal fan, I regard Opus as the best weather engine there is. I have tried all the others and there has always been something that’s missing with all of them. With Opus, I am always completely blow away from the amazing weather it reproduces. I see that Opus is gaining strength and a lot of supporters to their software. People try Opus for themselves then realise straight away what an amazing product it also is. Then there are a few haters, negative commenters out there that slam Opus. If an AI a/c is any more than maybe 1000-2000 feet away, I cannot see them, even when I try to zoom in on them. FS still recognizes they're still there, as they're making announcements on the ATC frequency and such. I'm using MyTraffic X. Anybody else had this problem?

I'm having an issue removing fsx from my computer so I can do a complete reinstall. Whenever I check "remove", it comes up with this a few clicks later Anybody have a clue as to what I can do? EDIT -- Tried doing it again and now this came up before even reaching the splash screen

Did anyone ever figure out how to remove the head latency effects on FSX? It's giving me a hell of a time with the NGX - Considering that I've moved my default eyepoint a little to make it feel more realistic for me, when making turns the HGS is almost moving out of view! I've made the change to Momentumeffect and the settings in FSX.CFG are all at 0.0 and nothing seems to kill the darn thing! Interestingly the effect is much worse when I fly in Australia than when i fly in Europe...

I installed scenery to Gustavo Rojas Pinilla airport in Colombia; The Island is situated far from Colombias' coasts,almost in front of Guatemala. The scenery doesn't seem to have textures in the front of the buildings but there are in the back, Everythign shows black, except for the object added, like airways and people. I am trying to revert to the original FSX scenery. I have contacted the author and he replied today telling me to just delete the bgls' from the loacation Addonscenery\scenery folder. I have done that..The sim loads and says is loading new files...But!!! They still show??? How can I revert to the original with out doin a cxocmplete reisntall …

Hello all! I was playing around with the sim after installing some WOAI packages and noticed a strange problem. After installing WOAI's Icelandair package, I was flying around Aerosoft BIKF during summer, and noticed no Icelandair planes even though reading the AI's flight plan file, there should have been lots of Icelandair planes there at that time. So then I reset the date back to current day and the time to the same GMT that I was flying before, after doing that, all of the Icelandair planes that were supposed to be there were there that time. So my question is, are AI flight plans dependent on the time of year set in sim? Or is there another reason why the AI was…

Hi guys! As the topic suggests, what is the best looking/most realistic freeware water for FSX? I read about the FS Water Configurator which seems great but since that as I understand it will only use default FSX water textures are there also any good freeware water textures to use together with FSWC? And what about the waves and what the surface of the water looks like, will I be able to modify that with FSWC too or are there any other/better ways? TIA,

Finally bought OpusFSX and the weather is mind blowing. Just having some jerkiness when changing views, right at the beginning of the transition.It doesn't happen on windowed mode. I tried the beta software but it still there. This software made the air you fly in beliveable, great work thanks Joe

Hi everyone. Sorry if someone this has been brought up before but I had this thought the other day and was wondering if people agreed. FSX was obviously designed as a 32 bit piece of software and centred around CPU's that were going to be very large single core CPU's that never appeared. Microsoft then create flight which obviously was not a great success and people like me and most people I know that use FSX would never go to it. From my point of view, apart from some rushed programming the sim itself if not bad in the slightest. My point is that I think that the best option would be to improve an already good product by making it use multiple cores effectively a…

I have a defualt set of controls setup in fsuipc for all FSX a/c But unfortunatly PMDG seems to comply with very few of FSX controls, so i need to use fsuipc "aircraft specific"or profile for PMDG, so that when fsuipc sees the key combo's it would forward to FSX eventually getting to PMDG. example ctrl+shift+e is typical of the key combos i am using tried to use press&release, but can not figure out what the parameter to pass should be, should the parameter be the key combo, if so do i pass ascci, not sure format for passing something ctrl+shift+e Generally which is the best wa…

hey guys...iam facing a really bad fps issue at fsdt jfk...while taxing and near the runway it arround 20-21 howeve near the terminal it goes down to 11-14 and in the air its in the range of 15-18.This is really strange as,i will normally get a constant 25-28 fps in most other addon airports.I have tried varrious settings and cleared the weather...but the fps dont change...it worsens when on approach to the airport.I would really be glad if someone could help me...Thanks !!

Hi All: If you have the Shockwave Lights program and if so, have you tried to apply them to this AC? I have had no success in getting Shockwave lights to show on this AC. No problem with my POSKY 757-200. Bright and clear. I even copied the "Lights" section from the Posky to the Freemium hoping I'd see something in the way of lights and then make final adjustments, but nothing showed. This is the only AC I have ( 38) where Shockwave lights won't show. Thanks

Hi Guys So I'm building an FS for our cadet unit for our cadets to fly (When they can get the staff out of it lol) and I've been looking for good quality aircraft for our cadets to fly that relate directly to being an R.A.F Air Cadet today... So, aircraft I'm on the hunt for are: Grob Tutor 115 (A good quality finished model) Tornado GR4 or as close as. Eurofighter typoon. Grob Viking glider. So far, the few eurofighter models I saw on Amazon have some really bad reviews... Hi guys, so unfortunately earlier my FSX just wouldn't start and I kept getting fatal error messages, and after two hours of troubleshooting nothing seemed to work so I am having to do what I hate most and that is re-installing the darn program. The reason I hate this like most of you will probably understand is because of the tedious addon installing, nothing is more boring than going through hours and hours of installing and trying to make FSX run like it did before with which for me was very good. Does anyone know if there are any developers working on a good Airbus A380 or A340 for FSX/Prepar3d? I tried the Wilco ones but after the NGX they don't feel up to scratch really... I know that Aerodoft are about to release the A320 but there's something about the A380 and the A340 that feels special to me...

Hi all Ok this is going to sound a bit strange but basically I want to go back to square one in my knowledge of flying and was just wondering how. What I mean is, I know how to get a 737 from A to B through programming an FMC, using LNAV and VNAV to follow my flight plan and doing an ILS approach. But ask me to fly a Cessna from A to B and I wouldn't even know how to begin let alone how to do a non ILS approach etc. What resources are out there to give me a good grounding in the basics of flying. Hi, I've just upgraded to FSX from FS9 and am getting texture tearing in windowed mode only. I have vertical sync activated in my Nvidea settings and in full screen mode there is no tearing. Any ideas ? Cheers, Mark. System. Win7 64 bit i7-3820 3.6 ghz CPU GTX470 gpu 16 gig RAM

Hello all I've recently upgraded to FSX, and in FS9 my flight planning was non existent. All I did was enter a start and end airport in FS9, and use the default ATC to guide me through a flight, culminating in an ILS approach into my airport. Now that I have FSX and am upgrading to more serious payware aircraft etc, I would like to learn more about more "serious" flight planning. I have purchased FSBuild, however the whole flight planning process just confuses me! All I want to do is choose a route, depart the airport via a SID, and do an ILS landing at the destination airport via a STAR. I am familiar with operating an FMC of a 737/757 from my FS9…
