So I've finally decided to upgrade my ATI 5850 to a better card, after some on here suggested that going Nvidia would give me a boost with clouds and weather situations. I run the 2600K at 4.8 Ghz and i'm generally 30 fps locked, but in heavy weather or near KSEA that can drop down to 17 depending on aircraft. I've been eyeing up a gtx 670 series card. But usually by february there is a price drop on cards, so I'm thinking maybe just waiting and getting a 680. Still unsure which exact model of either to get, though i definitely need dual DVI (I output to 3, 24" screens which are flaky on hdmi per say). I want a card that isn't super noisy overall. I just got a Samsung laptop today, and tried to install FSX with Windows 8 X64 and my addons, but when I try to install FSX at the very end of the install it says "Error 1722" and I tried the "Fix" with the command prompt and that didn't work either. I have also experienced errors 1603 and 1605. but Error 1722 prevents FSX from being installed. can anybody help me? my PC can run FSX no problem, and I don't see why its having these idiotic issues. my pc can run FSX with no problem, but the install wont finish. ive tried two different copies of FSX, Deluxe and regular, both have shown the error 1722. I fly PMDG and some GA aircraft. I am going to buy the Saitek. Is there a reason to spend more money to get the Cessna Yoke, Throttle, and Combat pedals vs the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke with Three-Lever Throttle (PZ44) for $124.00 and the regular Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals for $98.00 or combination of Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and Combat pedals. Is there a way to Change the eye point on the iFly 737 so it lines up with the HUD Without buying a program like EZdok? I tried using shift + Enter for up And shift + backspace for down but it's still off. Landing at 5:20 And If someone's Adjusted the eyepoint on the ifly's cockpit so it lins up with the HUD please let me know what your settings are so I can change mine.

Just curious to know how much tweaking of the config file and Nvidia Inspector my fellow simmers are doing. I spent quite some time a while ago tweaking my config file only to have the new FSDT CYVR add on manager overwrite it. And no, I hadn't backed it up. My system now runs poorly. Some posts I see around the place say that a vanilla config with just the HIMEMFIX tweak works ok. Feel free to offer any advice. Jas

They all just seem to be a moving map and don't actually show the airport parking ramps or taxiways. Anyone have any ideas? Looking for an iPhone solution ONLY. Shalom and greetings all my pals, There is defect in FSX default KLGA scenery when I am approaching runway 22 and suddenly my plane hits something invisible in midair and land-crashes (rather slam-land) on runway although no damage to my plane. Replay shows that my plane has clear path to runway and there is no obstacle. I do not have crash detection on. I always leave it off. Anybody knows fix to FSX default KLGA to correct this problem?? I bought the Blu ray disk about Air Austral: Air Austral Boeing 737-800, 777-200LR & 777-300ER (2012) The scenery is the home base of Air Austral. Downloaded the livery of Air Austral 737NGX-800 And I want to fly the 737NGX from here with this scenery! My question is if there is anybody who want to sell me this scenery???? Hi, I would really appreciate help on the following issue I have encountered with some FSX scenery: 1) I am using the VFR scenery with an add-on airport and all was fine until I updated the airport scenery with an update file provided to better merge with the photo-realistic scenery. 2) Following this update, the airport was no longer visible. After some trial and error, I discovered that the add-on airport re-appears when I allow FSX to regenerate the fsx.cfg file but of course I now need to recover all of the other setup/configuration data that is in my old cfg file which I backed up. I have connected a second keyboard with printed icons on keys for keystrokes in general aviation. I change the keyboard settings which takes a while using the new assignments, but when I start FSX again, they have reverted back to the (I guess) default settings. Both keyboards are connected, but I want to keep the newer settings to use when I start FSX again. How do I save these settings to use and not the default settings? I am not real sharp on doing changing in files, etc.

Everyone is different and everyone likes different add ons etc for fsx. That goes without saying. For some, certain mods work great, and others have problems with the same mods. I want to share my thoughts on ezdok/ezca and the enb mod. Both mods are awesome without doubt. If cameras are your thing, then ezca is the supreme program that will give you unlimited camera views, head shake and buffering effects, and a bunch of other things. However, from what I've read online, a lot of people simply like the head shake effect and buffering illusion. Hi guys, Desperate need of some help. Some sceneries and only some, I get a massive "leak" in performance. I am trying everything to solve the issue as it tends to not happen to others. I have a high spec system. Now, when I installed this current fresh install of windows, I remember changing a windows 7 setting on "ram allocation" [not 100% on its correct name] on a 32bit system. Hello everybody I think I have a problem with the rudder pedal logitech G940 After calibrated I noticed that the rudder does not turn the top until down when I brake in VC However, the aircraft stop when i use the brakes! no worries when I push the right rudder the plane turned right and left when I push the aircraft turned left and the same in VC The problem occurs with all aircraft AEROSOFT PMDG and the default Best regards

Add some of the best add-ons recently released, from the heavy to the GA class, a few new sceneries already announced, and you should have all the ingredients for FS11. Hi guys can someone please explain some of the details of this new historical weather feature that is in the latest version of Opus? So far it looks like just a checkbox but there is no way to choose the date/time of the historical weather you want to load so I'm wondering how far back it goes exactly?

Hi, I downloaded WashDCX for my FSX Acceleration program but I cannot seem to add it via the Settings/Add Area option. I hit the right buttons but nothing gets added. I am wondering if this is maybe something to with UAC or if it is because it installed in the Add Ons directory. I already have Add Ons listed on my installed scenery but it seems to be non scenery specific and I have a few other sceneries in there as well as WashDSX which are not listed individually either. Is there any way of telling if a scenery has installed properly or not?

I fell for the positive feedback for this app and bought it. First impression was positive du to its simplicity. I had great difficulties to get it work though. I could not get actual metars and tried the default weather themes instead, they looked really lame and gray. I finally solved (just before I would have sent a refund demand for flight1) the actual metar problem by sharing my d drive (where my fsx installation resides). Then I was ###### trying to find the metar text before flight, I found it only when sitting in the plane in game.
