Hi guys, I noted this strange behaviour of runway lights when approaching to every airports. This video (Algiers default fsx) shows the issue, as you can see runway lights are regulary all illuminated when when I have runway in sight, but when I arrive near runway the lights lit on again more intensely, see the green threshold lights that lits up more intensely, seems like the lights feel aircrafts distance or a specific radius. Like the lights lit up near a specif distance from the aircraft. I have a big texture problem that I can't seem to fix. The settings are on ultra high. I tried DirectX 10 on and off. I used ORBX England which looked very bad then I uninstalled it and I tried GEX Europe and no luck. I have also VFR Germany and Switzerland Pro X sceneries which looks better but they are not looking good compared to screenshots. I made the settings according to the manuals of the addons. The game and all the addons are installed into a usb 3.0 external HDD. Computer specs are i7 3.3 Ghz, 8gb DDR3 ram and 512MB GeForce 650m graphics. Can you give an advice about how to fix the problem? You can see what I mean in the screens. FSX with Acceleration.

After testing the Just Flight DC-6B Demo, there are three issues that irritate me..... 1. The "phase shifting" of the engine sounds when banking, or switching between views. 2. The total lack of touchdown and rollout sound effects. 3. No feeling of "weight" on touchdown. It feels like a butterfly landing, not a large four engined plane. Is the full version any different? I rather like the plane itself (3D model/VC/flight dynamics etc), but these three issues are stopping me from purchasing it (particularly items 2 and 3).

I am just curious what the noraml temperature range is for graphics cards when running FSX? When flying over ORBX PNW my temperature usually tops out at 58 degrees Celsius (GTX670). My old card (GTX465) ran much hotter at around 72 (or higher) degrees Celsius. Is 58 in the normal range or is it still running a little warm? I have never had any GPU problems so I'm sure its fine.

For all the viewing positions inside the cockpit (all the inside views using the A key), I know how to set the view position using the aircraft.cfg file. Good day , sry for my english, i have instaled triple head 2 go with 3 screen and all aircraft works exept 744/748 and MD11. There is a bug : my mousse pointer gone crazy , she works and works and that hit the performance. I have read a lot of forum and test some fixes (Windows_view:0,333, 0.874) but nothing works. Hi Guys After I upgraded Microsoft Office 2007 to 2010, FSX crashes to desktop especially when I load Leve-D 767. Is there anything I can do? Shall I re-install FSX? and if I do so then I will loose all the add ons I purchased. Your help will greatly appreciated. I have Windows 7 64bit stelios

Hi All, Over the last few months I have been getting some great hours on FSX mainly in PMDG737 NGX and now Airbus X Extended. I have completed many successful landings at Heathrow but something has changed. Tonight for instance I flew from EDDF to EGGL with a planned arrival at runway 09R. When I reach my TOD I set my landing flap config then setup my ILS frequencies and course. The problem is that I cannot select the LOC button to allow me to capture the localizer. The weird thing is if I change the course to 271 for runways 27L & 27R I can select the LOC button even though I am approaching from the opposite direction. Hi, I am trying to use GPS choosing vectors to land to a ILS runway. I bet this is not the right way to do it with this aircraft (QW 146 Arvo RJ-100), but I am trying to learn on how would one do it. My Flight Plan is from KSEA-KPDX and chose the route in the GPS. And then I select the approach runway via the GPS - in this case I chose Runway 28R. Just curious if a Boeing 737-800 can really recover from a spin. With it's wings swept back it tends to enter a flat spin, from my training and studies, a flat spin is unrecoverable. However, FSX Boeing 737 has a hard time recovering from the stall warning. Last night ATC left me too high for too long, I should have just executed the missed approach, but no I said I can get down in time to capture the ILS. So...speed brakes on, throttle back to idle, gear down, VS set to 3500 fpm. IAS 140kts. Im sure everyone who is flying with real world weather with winds aloft are noticing ridiculous winds at upper levels. There is no real program yet that accounts for this and balances what would be the premium altitude as per your aircraft and its fuel burn. Ive noticed the winds are really strong and relatively close 100kts-140kts from FL260-FL400. So is there a proper manual method to find out what altitude would be best to fly at? Those winds crosswind or headwind really eat up fuel, but there must be a grey area as to flying higher for the thinner air as opposed to the extremely strong winds. This guy pops up as FSX shuts down precipitously and makes me wonder if anyone has a clue in what to look for. I see no change when using FS Water Config. I suspect that my setup file location may be wrong. I have the main location of FSX set - that was obvious For the shader forder I point to the Shader HSL folder in FXS root. For fsx.cfg I point to appdata/roaming/microsoft/fsx For shader cache I point to \AppData\Local\Microsoft\FSX\Shaders I guessed at the shader stuff locations. I do the resize of the window after making changes in FS Water Config but see no change in FSX??

I know its not realistic but sound is a huge part of the atmosphere for me. For examples, FSPassengers only has its canned ATC chatter and passenger loading ambient sounds heard when inside the VC. Or the landing gear whine and thud I'd like to hear when in Spot View. I know the Concorde X has a check box in its special Options pull down menu that allows for this called "Play Sounds in Ext Views". I find this a very nice feature. Is there a cfg setting or tweak that allows cockpit sounds to be heard in outside views for other planes?

Has there even been a fix found for this glitch? In dark conditions during the day, is there a way to turn this on? Shift L sort of puts a shadow on gauges but does not light the instrument panel properly like it does at night or dusk.

I was wondering (because of some problems with ATC not letting me descent on time) how this works in real life: - does ATC tell you when to start descending or... - do you ask ATC for permission to descend or... - do you simply descent at TOD?

I've installed all the demos of VFR Real Scenery and am not impressed. The world looks flat and fuzzy even with recommended settings. Reminds me of the poor aerial view on iOS6 lol!
