Hi team.I just reformated the os and now currently reinstalling fsx.I currently have the latest version of nvidia inspector.I tried setting it up as per Word Not Allowed's guide but noticed that alot of setting are different from Word Not Allowed's guide.Infact the options/selections are also different.So i was wondering if someone could help me correctly setting the nvidia inspector.Thanks.

right I had flight slim x on my pc and I had the same problem, I brought a new laptop good enough to play the game at ease, its a brand new game brought it the day before, and everytime I go to activate it, it says there a technical error and that I cant activate it, try doing it by phone but that says the same thing, I can play the game fine just kicks me off like 20-30 minutes due to not activating, playing the game on windows 8 and my pc was ex, im getting frustrated as all I want to do is play the game ! help please

Hey All, Happy New Year!! I'm having huge problems with achieving cold and dark in the default C172. Everything is turned off (battery, alternater, all switches, mixture, avionics etc) but the radio and annuciator lights remain on. I have searched many places, and have tried the following: 1. Change to different aircraft (eg. 737 or Learjet) and turn off APUs, generators, batteries but the same problem occurs in these planes, and the C172 is no different when I change back. 2. Assigned keys for APU, master battery, master generator, master aviaonics and pressed these in the C172. Still no change. 3. I downloaded a dark and cold save file. I start…

Guys been around fsx since the start. Havnt posted here before as i tend to find the search finds any answer i need, However i quite suprised that not one developer hasnt made Jersey airport fot fsx. I know there is a freeware one, but im more of a payware person myself. Im sure there would be a market for it as there alot of A airlines in the uk that fly here. If anyone has news/pics of somebody making it id be intreasted to know thanks!! Danny

I know most people agree the flight dynamics of the Realair Legacy are excellent but I have a question about the landing phase. I find it impossible to judge my height from the runway surface in the final phase of a flight. I honestly couldn't tell the difference 10 and 30ft. Consequently I have a terrible time judging my landing and improving my technique. This gets particularly complicated when I add a bit of crosswind or bad weather. So I'm wondering if the Realair Legacy realistically reflects poor landing technique.For example if I flare too soon and allow the plane to drop will it realistically bounce and possibly nose over if I don't get the power on fairly liv…

I am having trouble adding PMDG 737 NGX. I currently have FSX Gold Edition with FSX Acceleration installed on my Windows Vista PC. I keep getting an error message saying: Unable to locate fsx.exe. Unable to install If anyone has had this same problem please advise on what I need to do to fix this problem. Thanks in advance.

When saving a flight and making it the "default" flight, I have selected an outside view of the AC. However, when loading the default flight, the opening window I get is of the 2D panel, not the outside view I originally selected. Is there a setting in the FSX cfg file ( or any other folder ) that determines what "view" is called by FSX for the opening screen, or is the default view always going to be the 2D panel?

I started with FSX and am still figuring out all the details. The C172 has a tach meter, but not hobbs meter. Is there a way to add a hobbs meter to the panel?

Hi Anybody know a way to get something to display ETA to destination in FSX. Looking for an fps friendly solution. The problem is i have the free fsx honeywell FMC, which displays this info, but soon as i engage nav mode using Garmin1000, both fsx GPS and Honeywell FMC loose info on full flight plan and just show only next waypoint. Only the flight1 aviation g1000 stuident simulator shows full flight plan, and for the life of me cant workout how to get the garmin to show cummulative and not leg/leg distance, and cummulative ETA not just leg to leg eta. any ideas cheeers

Since installing FSX Acceleration on my Win 7 PC I have had nothing but trouble with add-ons. Surely the whole point is that they are easy to use, I'm interesting in piloting not getting a computer science degree! These are a small list of my complaints. Cannot save flight when flying the PDMG 737 with FS2Crew. REX seems to crash when flying all the time. FS2Crew has trouble with voice commands on dials. the green text is picking up the correct words like "set speed 180" but the MCP dial goes crazy. I havent noticed any difference in the Europe scenery after buying GEX Europe, what a waste of money! The only add-ons that do work are the airport scenery ones!

I see there is a FSX registry fix but I don't know of all the situations where you may use it. Every now and then I reinstall windows, usually because of some silly problem that can't be resolved otherwise - I am a tinkerer. At some point I have to re-install FSX which is a pita with the addons as well. Will something like the registry fixer allow me to bring the old install back to life? Thanks, Jason

Love Opus and the weather but cannot get on with the cam views! I have really tried but I keep going back to EzDok. How do I get the view transitions to be as smooth and floaty ( is that a word?) as they are with your rival software? Any advice would be most welcome.

Hi, I ran the Mod but got a message that the shader10 directory (or files) had been deleted. Now, this was my second attempt at steves mods and wondering if it worked the 1st time but somehow got deleted. I guess my question is this: Is there supposed to be a shader10 folder? I looked at his batch and it apparently is under c:\users\me\appdata\local\Microsoft\FSX --- Not there though. Any help would be much appreciated. Regards Bob

Hello everyone, I have a problem loading Pilots Software FS Global Ultimate Europe/Africa. Having rebuilt computer I have W7 on SSD1, FSX, PMDG 737NGX and Beech Duke on SSD2. This all works perfectly, very fast. I intend to load other add-ons onto a separate hard disk and have started with Global Ultimate installed correctly on that separate hard disk. When loading FSX with Global Ultimate it takes 2 minutes, with it unchecked in scenery library it takes 15 seconds. Is the 2 minute load time normal? I still have UTX, GEX and some Photo-scenery and Mega Airports still to load on this disk. I have spent the afternoon searching for answers but got nowhere…

I'm considering buying several Aerosoft US Cities X scenery add-ons. (The discussion in a thread last summer touched on a few questions I have about the them but didn't answer the questions. http://forum.avsim.n...es#entry2420911 ) The sim stores description blurb for each of these scenery titles says, "It is clearly intended to fill the gap between the default scenery and very high dense city scenery such as Manhattan X, London VFR or Venice X. Because the file size is rather large due to the ground image it only includes one season (in most cases this is not a real issue) and no night textures. The VFR flights over these cities are mostly a day time affair anyway." …

I reformatted my HD and re-installed fsx with the DX10 option and holy cow I get smooth fast fps with no bugs, is this a dream or did Win8 fix dx10 in fsx?
