As the title says. I'm looking to enable head movements, such as found in EZdok. As an example, when I throttle up, there should be the effect of being pushed back in my seat. I keep hearing people say that Opus can replace EZdok, but I can't seem to replicate this effect. I can enable to the vibration and shaking effects, but not G reaction effects.

The show all variations checkbox in aircraft selection somehow got unchecked on my installation causing 2 hours of fussing and worrying. I posted this just to have another message the search engine can lead others with the same problem. I see how many others had the problem. The checkbox is in the aircraft selection dialogue of course. So if examples of the same plane in various aircraft installations suddenly disappear that is the problem (I wrote that in case anybody searches for "examples of the same plane". hello, could somebody please explain Opus to me and what it does. from my understanding i think opus just adds clouds and textures and is a competitor against rex and aes ( i have rex btw). i know i should be reading up on this but im in a rush and want to buy it asap if the product is excellent. could somebody explain what it does? many thanks.

Anybody know what gives over there at www.nemethdesigns.com? Maybe it's me, but I bought a helicopter from them, the payment was processed, and they sent me a link for download. However, the link downloads as an html page, not an exe.. Ive tried to contact them, but no response. Ive tried every which way to use the link, but no cigar. Any ideas?

Im using UTX+GEX and even on the default textures are the blurries too! only the ORBX EU ENGLAND is perfect on my system and i cant imagine why the ORBX is running perfectly and all the other textures are trash! Hi, I understand that OPUS can reside on a networked machine, but was wondering if all features are available i.e. head movement, weather gen, etc when networked. I would like not to run it concurrently on the same machine as fsx. thanks much Bob

Hi I notice that the TFS A340-300 nav lights and cabin lights were turn on only during take-off. Is there a way to tweak this just like the other AIs that there nav, logo and cabin lights were turn on 15 min before departure? Anyway here are the light settings on my TFS A340-300. Can anybody tell me what the differences are between the above programs ? Would it make sense to have both ? Or could they interfere into each other ? I use FSX Deluxe and many PMDG products,such as the 747,MD-11 and 737. Thanks for you suggestions Hubert Werni

Hello. As I understand it there are basically 4 versions of Windows 8. Windows 8 32-bit and 64-bit, plus Windows 8 Pro 32 bit and 64-bit Are there people that are running FSX successfully under all of these versions? Thanks

Just this morning, I purchased and downloaded opusfsx. In reading the Live Weather Engine manual, it says that lower resolution 1024 cloud textures are recommended for a "more realistic and less harsh" appearance. Does this sound right? Seems like we are going backwards from the HD 4096 resolution clouds.

A few weeks ago I came upon a web site of a service that provides "real person" ATC in Southern CA. It is subscription based. I can call ATC from FSX and a real person responds, and provides ATC services. I can't remember the name of the organization or web site, and didn't have any luck googling them. Does anyone know about such a service and/or have experience about the level of quality that they provide?

Hello, I remember that, when hovering the mouse on a switch or display, there will be a line or words popping up, telling you what is that switch display. For example, if you hover your mouse over the AP button, it will pop up "Auto Pilot Master Switch" in a small box. However, my FSX no longer has that. Hi All, If it's available, I'm looking for a moving map that uses the current US FAA charts instead of Google or a proprietary map like Plan-G. My "ideal" program would be SkyVector.com with a moving map. I know it doesn't have a MM function - it's a great website without MM - it would be fantastic with one. Those folks using SkyVector.com are familiar with what I'm looking for. I don't know if an app exists that uses VFR and Enroute charts or not. I've used FalconView when I was in the military, but I no longer have access to the charts it requires. I've been reading here that there are several people that use multiple weather programs (REX Essential Plus, OpusFSX, ActiveSky 2012) as well as some who use little parts of the 3 such as combining the REX Textures to be used with OpusFSX, the ActiveSky textures to be used with OpusFSX, as well as a third party freeware set of textures that I've read is very good but I'm not quite sure if I should try or not. As most of you know, Bojote introduced the idea of using AffinityMask in the [JOBSCHEDULER] FSX.cfg section to control which core runs the main FSX thread. His conjecture was that we need to offload core 1 (0) from doing the thread scheduling as it was the default core used by other applications. The result was to be better (smoother) loading of textures. On the other hand Nick N. disputes this line of thought with the reasoning that there is no good reason to reduce the number of cores that FSX can use. I'm looking for an iPad app for navigation. On searching the forums people have mentioned the Remote Flight Nav app but it looks a bit basic. I would need it to display flightplans like the G1000, showing waypoints, freq codes, airspace etc. Perhpas the Simionic G1000 app might be better but it does not work with PMDG planes?
