I cannot get any 747 FSX liveries to install. I've tried the "installer" and manually-- no luck. Could someone post a ' trail' they found that works ? in Fsx. Thanks . CJ

As a massive fan of flight simulation, I probably spend as much time trying to sort out problems with FSX as I do actually flying. I read the Avsim Forums with avid intest and marvel at the sheer brilliance of some of the contributors and hobbyist who tirelessly look to plug the holes and improve on this aged software; I am so grateful to these guys for their hard work and ingenuity. I guess what I want to know is, does everybody have a situation and experience similar to mine? I have periods where my sim runs well and then without undestanding why, it starts to play up; its almost like it can only sustain a limited time of uninterrupted flying before you have to try and …

I am using the Shade Shifter program which will inject one of the Shade profiles into FSX and then it starts FSX automatically. My question is will Nividia's Inspector recognize that FSX.exe has started and load the profile Reason I am asking it seems like even with 8x sgss and 8x S combined 1x2ss + 4x ms set I am still seeing a bunch of those nasty jaggies on the scenery be it from FSDT, FT, Flightbeam or any of the others! And this is with a 680FTW 4GB card. How do I know if the profile is being loaded correctly?

Over the years there have been many products that were announced and eagerly anticipated. Upon release however, some of these products have been a bit of a let down to many customers who were expecting a bit more. For this reason I thought it would be a good idea to get a general idea of what YOU the simmers really want in a product.

I tried a demo for a utility called FSTramp for FSX, a moving map, etc. It stopped working and I didn't think anything about it until I bought the Accu-feel utility for FSX. Now I can't get Accu-feel to work and a file called the dll.xml shows an entry for FSTramp listed above the Accu-feel entry. I'm thinking that since the FSTramp utility is not working, it is interferring with the Accu-feel utility. So I did an uninstall on the FSTramp from the start menu, then I deleted the FSTramp application from my FSX folder, but whenever I delete the FSTramp entry in the dll.xml file and start up FSX, it recreates the entries in the file. Hi In cold and dark, with PFE not connected to FSX and tgs not powered. I just need to open tgs guage, then close it. Subsequent attempt to exit the sim results in crash also happens on attempt to reset flight, or load aircraft. This means any settings change not saved if the sim is always crashing out. I must note that , the crash only happens when i come to exit or reset flight etc as stated above. Has any PFE users seen this issue and fixed it. All other gauges on same a/c open and exit the sim no crash. Open close tgs, exit sim with crash. The TGS gauge is working fine so i assume its installed ok, but of all the 10 windows in the a/c the tg…

Just released it today: http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.htmlIt's like an fsx.cfg critique tool :) it will analize yours and see whats wrong with it and even apply tweaks (if you need them) it analizes the file you 'send', so this is 100% safe. You could send a 'backup' fsx.cfg or a dummy one just for testing.

I think perhaps there is a simple solution to this, though i'm not sure what it is offhand.. But, if I have full screen FSX running and hit shift 3 to bring up the gps and resize it... i then change views and the GPS panel becomes hidden.. is there a way to force it to stay ontop, so shift 3 isnt needed again? Hi guys! I'm happy to hear that the Aerosoft airbus has arrived, and I have a couple of questions I would like answered (if possible) before I concider purchasing it. I am using nvidia surround to expand my virtual cockpit across 3 screens. Has anyone tried the a320 with a similar setup? Are there any known problems? 2. This is probably a dumb question, but why are the ILS frequencies for runways NOT listed on the approach plate? Isn't this one of the most needed things? Or am I just missing it? I know I can go to FSCharts for them, but what do real world pilots do?

I current use ASE2012, but have heard alot of good things about REX. If I decide to purchase REX do I need to uninstall ASE. Is it possible to use ASE's weather engine with REX's cloud textures? What kind of impact to FPS does REX have. Thanks for the info. John

Live camera wont initialize when I start OPUS even though I have it turned on in the config. It will start if I push the camera button in the configurator, but when i close that window it turns off. Any Ideas. I am running the latest beta. Josh

By dead reckoning I mean your flight plan consists of a compass heading, a time to fly, and a waypoint that's an easily recognizable terrain feature, without use of in-game maps or the GPS. I started doing this when I bought the A2A Cub. There are no radio navigation instruments, and no GPS although the plane has a good map that you can access from the cockpit. I used http://www.skyvector.com to create flight plans, although beware that the magnetic deviation isn't the same as FSX which is a few years older and headings might be a few degrees off. If anyone got Flightbeam KPHX can you please describe if its FPS friendly . Is it safe to fly the NGX to this airport with 80% UT2 setting. I see the airport highly details an looks really HD so am a little concern with FPS. My Sim is working very nice from all the tweaking i have been doing . Maybe this is the wrong place to ask this question, but: Is there a fix for the "Whiteout" mission to work properly with ORBX PNW? this is what happened to me, when I tried it: I took off a t Cascade Locks, landed at Trout lake, and tokk off again; everything worked just fine, but when I tried to land at Mount St. Helens (WN10), it seems that in the ORBX scenery the airfield has been moved a bit, and thus it's impossible to trigger the people boarding the plane. I tried various things such as landing at another place (of the actual landing strip), taxiing close to the waiting car or even landing nearly on the car, but without success, most of the time I even crashed the …

I just bought Thai creation's Macao for FSX from Sim market IT looks pretty decent. For $20 bucks get not only the airport but also the city. I was looking for an aiport close to Kai TAK (Fly Tampa's) and this is perfect for that. I can't do those 12 and 13 hr flights anymore...But so I like these short hops. but then this may be a tad too close. We don't have any quality addons for Japan anymore unlike fs9.. and this is a good substitute Although its not KAi Tak quality, its actually very very good. I have come to expect poor quality from non US and non Europe add on vendors...and this was a very pleasant surprise. The water land class needs a little work. …
