Hi I am stil fairly new to fsx and was considering buying this, although I am not interested in the Joystick side of it as my Saitek set up works fine as it is. However I recently got a g3d.dll error and I understand this may prevent it? I have the unregistered version installed, would the registered version have stopped this? Are there any other benefits from buying it, ie preventing other crashes? Any feedback from users greatly appreciated, running on windows 7, 64 bit, i7 3770k with 16Gig Ram and 680GTX Regards

My vote goes for OPUS, for innovating weather when we thought all that could be done had been done. 2nd goes to REX for continually expanding their HD textures with Essentials, and without it, OPUS wouldn't be so good I'm going to also add in the Angle of Attack 737-NGX series -- I know there has been a lot of criticism, but it seems like its finally getting on the roll. The videos are professionally made. Not really an add-on, but a must have viewing -- Air Austral 737 Blu-ray, 3+ hours of pure 737-800 coverage in HD. http://asn.aerosoft.com/?page_id=10542

Is anyone else having a clicking sound when using the wind noise options of accufeel? I am getting a constant click like the sounds are playing in a loop and I hear the beginning or end(not really sure it matters) of the sound for winds. I can shut it off by disabling these features but I would like to use it. I have tried default aircraft as well as payware, I still have it. I use onboard Realtek sound card but don't have problems with sound except with this. Thank you Anthony

Hello, as the title says, there is smoke coming from the tires during taxing. Before i post, i made a search here in this forum and i saw a similar post back in 2006 where someone wrote that it comes from the snow patches from the scenery and it affects the tarmac too. Is this really the reason or something else? Thank you in advance

I have a friend with a 256M video card that is having trouble with graphics and memory running planes like Dino's F-35. He asked me if deleting some of his planes, and extra textures of planes that he wants to keep, will help him in frame rates and graphics. I don't remember how much RAM he has but he does get Out of Memory faults. I always thought that FSX only loads the particular plane and texture and that deleting extra planes or extra textures would not help with graphics or frame rates. Am I right or wrong? I used to have a 256M video card and I have hundreds of planes each of which have multiple textures. I never deleted nay of them. Thanks, Bob.

Can the page file in Win 7 be located on a drive other than the one with the operating system on it? I have a 64gb SSD C: disk for the OS and it is getting low on space so I'd like to move the page file to a 256gb SSD that I have FSX installed on or a 1.5TB mechancial disk (WD Black) that I have for misc stuff. Edit: The page file is 16gb, so would free up a good chunk of my 64gb SSD

I installed the RXP to the Milviz 310 and the Carenado 210 both 530 and 430. I noticed when I have the GNS 430 on that the altitude selector on the AP only goes up by 1000's. Is this a bug or is there a fix out there? Thanks John

I've got this annoying bug where on some addons after flying (with fuel selector set to both) the left tank is the only one sucking fuel out. My default flight is the C172 and has always been both tanks at the same time.. Any ideas what's causing this problem?

You know when you listen to real ATC and the pilot contacts the approach controller and the controller gives him the runway to land, altimeter and the latest ATIS identifier, how does the pilot know what STAR to use for that runway? Will the ATIS message tell them? Will the previous controller told him? Or will the pilots have that all prepared ahead of time? I'm asking this because when I fly into airport and I get the runway information for landing, I have no clue what STAR to use because I don't know which one the right one is. It only helps using software like FS Commander because you can visually see the STAR approaches that us relevant to your position, but in a…

Hello. I have been using PDFKneeboard - which is an awesome freeware product for Flight Simulator - for a long time now in order to view charts, flightplans etc in the sim. Unfortunately the FSX version has some quirks on my system resulting in CTDs when opening certain charts with it. Unfortunately most of the charts work flawlessly with it, so that's why I don't really want to give up on PDFKneeboard and I don't want to go back to printing out charts and all the other paperwork again. I have tried contacting the author regarding my issue a while back but a new version of PDFKneeboard hasn't been released for a while now. I do wonder if there are any similiar…

Just checking out this plane, wanting to do a short hop from Frankfurt to Paris. Cruising at 11,000ft and decided I wanted to see what this bird can do, I undo AP and hit F4, not too far past 480IAS or so, CRASH!! OVERSTRESS! I can't seem to find any max speed chart per altitude, not sure there is one? I figured this plane would be super strong and go way faster without overstressing, no? Also, did a Mach2 test flight and I was shocked how long it took to get up to that speed. Took like 30 min inching its way finally past 2x speed of sound. This normal?

Hi, I have searched the library to no avail so here is my problem. When trying to get into the Scenery Library I get the message "You must have permission to modify the Scenery Library. All Scenery Library Controls have been disabled." OS is Windows 8 64 bit. I have been having some trouble with FSX but thought I had sorted it until I got this message. Could this be anything to do with FSDREAM Team and Virtuali? Grateful any advice. Colin

Hi All, This is my first post on the Forum, and would really appreciate your help with a problem being encountered with FSX. The Cessna 172 aircraft is being affected by turbulence when this hasn't been selected - wind was set to None, etc. Default 737 seems ok though. Weather settings were checked and everything was set for calm conditions aloft, but the aircraft continues to be thrown about as if there's a stong crosswind / turbulence, even when on the runway. FSX was removed then re-installed but error remains. Do you know of an FSX bug with turbulence? Thanks, Ryan.

Hello, I have a little problem. I use FSUIPC for everything, so I want to disable the Controls in FSX by unchecking them in the controller menu. It works of course, but after every restart it is checked again. I use FSX GO and have probably set something here or have whatever else done that this happens. Or is this behaviour normal? Can somebody point me to an entry in the FSX.cfg where I can turn off the controls there, please?

Loving opus.. especially the head movements. 2 little things I'd love to suggest though they may be proprietary to another head movement software. I love how you have your guys' camera gui setup but I'd love to see the ability to export/import cameras to friends or fellow members and would also like to see the ability to limit head movement to stay inside the confines of the cockpit. One thing that bugs me most is that i can sit back far enough to sink back behind my seat. I know this isn't the other software but I thought I'd throw that of there. Thank you for developing your software and also for the great customer service. -Damien

Has any of you had the terrible bounce when crossing the runway threshold on final approach ? It has happened to several airports when I approach to land and I cannot (each time) reproduce the problem. I approach normally on the glideslope and/or proper path according to PAPI's Then when I cross the threshold I get a strong kick which rolls heavily the aircraft sideways sending it off the runway, I touch down on the grass next to it by rolling it back straight before touch down, I touch down a bit more heavy and then I decelerate to a safe stop as usual but off runway. I have crashes disabled and at least this way I don't destroy my flight's ending. Whenever…

Hi All, first Post of 2013, so a very Happy New Year to all. As my Title asks, something I have never really thought about in all the years of using FS9 and FSX. While descending, I put my Landing Lights on either at or just before 10,000 ft as required, ( Beoing 737-800), but if descending through cloud, and at dusk or night, I can't remember ever seeing any lights reflected off a cloud. I use Rex Essential Overdrive, and this may be something for that team to consider, or could it be that there is a way to achieve this? See what people say here before Posting over on the Rex Forum.

Anyone tried the freeware offerings from FSND? Looks very promising for us that enjoy lighter addons, especially the upgraded default 737 and 747, also the Convair 240 looks fun. http://www.simviation.com/fsnd/Downloads.htm

Occasionally I fly an aircraft in FSX with the EZDoC view add-on that results in intense shaking at cruise speed. I believe that this is attempting to simulate approaching overspeed, however in this case the aircraft is well within speed limitations. I'm not sure if this intense shaking is triggered (and therefore possibly changed) from an aircraft.cfg setting, or if one of the EZDoC settings needs to changed. Has anyone experienced this and been able to tweak something to mitigate this? Thanks, Bruce.
