OK, so here I was, starting my pre descent checks after about a two hour flight (including preps), when I hit the keyboard to change views and all of a sudden FSX minimised itself to the task bar! I could only get it back to fullscreen by going into the task manager and hitting maximise. When it did return to fullscreen half the textures were missing, both inside the NGX, externally and also some of the cloud textures. They never returned, even after waiting a minute! What I did do directly after the issue arose, was to save the flight, which loaded again without a hitch after restarting FSX. I have never experienced anything like this before and hope it was just a one of…

I am really excited for the new turbulence effect! However one of the only reasons I wanted turbulence is the wing flex, and this affect doesn't touch the wings at all! I am a big NGX flyer, and the wing flex is a big feature!

Hi a,, I currently have a 2 screen PC running FSX with PMDG 737. I am looking to network my laptop to provide a 3rd screen. Looking at CRGSim it allows me to display the cockpit DUs on a separate screen but reading the docs there seem to be limitations with flight plans and PMDG: Does this mean that what is displayed on my 2nd DU nav in FSX will not be displayed on my screen using this? Anyone tried this?

I was given a stand-alone VRinsight COM/NAV box for Christmas. It has one USB connection and came with a USB cable and a CD with a manual and drivers/software. I read the (somewhat confusing) manual and installed the software, then plugged the USB cable between the COM/NAV box and my PC. The box lit up and identified itself as a COM/NAV box. I ran the software before and while running FSX, it finds the COM/NAV box. There is a checkbox "use this unit" that I checked, and a blank field for "Aircraft". Although I can turn the COM/NAV knobs and see frequency numbers change on the box, the COM/NAV frequencies do not change on FSX default aircraft. Has anyone had any exp…

In FSX there is the possibility to use DX10 preview. After checking my computer (running Win 7 32 bit) I saw thas DX11 has been installed. Do I get the benifits of DX 11 automaticly or do I would using DX 10 preview the best thing to do ?

UGH i'm getting mad every time I try to use the program. Always every time I use it....BOOM.. FSX crashed How do I solve this issue?

Hi, apologies if this has been discussed before, but I have searched high and low and only found one other post, whose solution, of course, did NOT work for me. Now the problem... Whenever I go in fullscreen mode in FSX, it won't display properly ie wheels floating in the air, wings deformed. ​ Attached a file, I think. The only thing I have changed in my FSX is adding Felts Field, but I doubt that caused this behavior. That's supposed to be the Baytower RV-7, but have the same behavior with the Realair Legacy. Any ideas?

I have been using these FSX.cfg settings for years and any experimentation always leads me back to them. These work for both DX9 and DX10. I'm interested in seeing what everyone else has settled on for solid performance and visual quality. Please if you want to respond only post pertinent settings and not your entire FSX.cfg. Hi all, Having done a complete reinstall of my windows 7 and FSX, I'm afraid I forgot to back up some useful files.. I was looking for the AutoAFCADupdater X utility (including AFCADS) for Aerosoft's Mega Airport Amsterdam for FSX. However, it seems that the website of the creator (A51 Zone) is offline and I haven't been able to find another place to download it. Anyone knows an alternative download location for this handy utlity? Thanks in advance.

win 7 64bit/ i7- 3.5 Ghz. Nvidia GTX 680. My memory fails me: Does installing SP1and SP2 require the "right click-run as admin' rule? If it does I have a problem with SP2. as this file installs from a Windows Installler package and one cannot execute this "rule". Or if it can.... I don't know how! regards Dave Wightman

Hi folks, I have a point and a question for you all today. Is it possable, that you can download an FMC for an aircraft, that can then be used for creating routes with waypoints? Including takeoff page, progress page etc? As, if this is possable, my CLS 767 could be flown a massive amount more, and i would enjoy being able to fly my freeware British Airways A319 "Firefly" (G-EUPC) Thanks All -Andy

I've been flying around Alaska lately in a very nice freeware Beechcraft D18S by Milton Shupe and Scott Thomas. (The only thing to dislike about it is the abysmal cabin). But, I can't get this thing started. I've tried following the checklist to no avail. I even have an original Expeditor checklist and booklet, but still I can't get those engines running without using Ctrl+E. Anyone had success?

Question regarding flying over areas with overcast conditions. Is there a way to program an overcast layer below? Flying out of IAD tonight and the WX on the ground was perfect. At about 3000ft it changed to scattered/broken below with a metar 200 overcast. Just curious. Justin

I know that's a pretty vague question, but I honestly don't know a thing about them. I do know my default plane is the QW757 for its superior thrust:weight ratio and awesome climb power. I use the NGX as well as RA Turbine Duke, and rarely now the Super MD-80 Pro for its ease on performance demands. What are the other attractions that have folks here looking for a good Airbus.? I see there is a new release and am intrigued but haven't a clue! How are their flight characteristics? Other features worth mentioning that make them distinct from Boeingware. I purchased OpusFSX for Prepar3D, why is it always in Demonstration mode and then automatically stops working every now and then? Shouldn't it automaitcally know that I already have a registered version? Sorry I couldn't find anything in the getting started guide about this! Thanks for the help!

Hi I have tried various versions of this , rex natural , vfr, 24hr. I think they all look very good, but a common problem I have is in daylight even in the summer sometimes the virtual cockpit goes so dark that I can't see any of the instruments, If I turn away from the sun they all light up again. Switching the panel lights on dosnt help. Anyone else get this effect, and any ideas how to fix.? I also have shade installed, its making me fly without enb, but night time flying seems too "bright" without enb. Nvidia 680gtx running on 3 monitors. Any comments appreciated. Hi all, I offer this as nothing more than anecdote or narrative of some tests (/playing around) I have been doing this morning concerning tweaks to the FSX.CFG. :smile: The results were interesting, and not at all what I expected. The Test Bed - I am using a stock i7 2600k 3.8Ghz, with 8GB DDR3 RAM, a ATI HD 5770 1GB, and Win 7 64 bit - All FSX settings remained identical for all 4 tests. I won't bore them with you, but they propably average settings, eg.. Texture Complexity: Very Dense, Autogen: Dense, Airline AI: 20%, Road Traffic: 15%, etc, etc - ATI CCC set at AA of 4x and AF 4x and other 'average' type settings. - PMDG 737 NGX with all '…
