for some reason, almost al of my instrument panel views have gone! Whenever i load a plane in fsx and do the key command for the GPS for example, a black box flickers where it should b and then disappears! then when i click on the views, instrument views button on the FSX toolbar, its show a tick next to the GPS button even when its not there. This happens for almost all my instrument views but then some still work. Also, not sure if this is relevant or not, but i dont seem to have a Gauges folder in the FSX files (not sure if there had ever been one though!) Anyway, hope someone can help,

I am flying the PMDG 737NGX a lot lately (with FS2Crew) and I am looking at making my approaches a bit more realistic. Today I want to fly to Birmingham. Coming from the south I chose to use the GROV1B STAR: http://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/eadbasic/pamslight-254F2678AA3E07C5A9451A18E28F2624/7FE5QZZF3FXUS/EN/Charts/AD/NON_AIRAC/EG_AD_2_EGBB_7-1_en_2012-06-28.pdf I have to fly from HON to EBONY and then to GROVE. But then what...? 1. If I choose the GROV1B STAR in the FMC and then the GROVE transitions I get a very odd flightplan which has me flying all over the place... 2. If I choose to not use a transition but follow the ILS chart http://www.ead.euroco…

For those using ProATC or even thinking about it, they have just posted a intro tutorial video. Sounds like they will do more. As any ATC program it seems can be finnicky if your flightplan is not just right, this explains some of the features and then flightplanning in the future videos. Might be informative and help you too. This one is really preliminary. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd2Kr-NQlds&feature=youtu.be

Just want to drop a quick note, that I've started a LINDA module for the LSH maddog. You can get it here in the AVSIM LINDA forum. For further infos about LINDA have a look on the link at my signature. The maddog module is WIP, but has already implemented the AP section, MCP Combo displays synced and many other funtions (external lights, fuel switches, etc), nearly about 200. Will work on further functions the next days/weeks depending on my time. I was always reserved about the Maddog as several opinions stated about the bad VC and demanding ressources; indeed, the VC is not 2012, but it is really an outstanding simulation with not much more frame …

Dear All, I'd love to read the opinion of real word airbus 32x rated pilots that has tested the new AXE ? Preferably unbiased i.e. not linked to the beta testing of AXE or any other comparable products. I kind of like the sim despite its infancy bugs (like many others I was desperately waiting for an "okish" bus sim)...I only have a couple of hours in a level D a320 sim so my opinion really doesn't count Best, Karim

Ok Guys and Gals: After trying Word Not Allowed setup - just the new fsx.cfg file - my own tinkering this has what I have come up with spent many many hours on this and it does work very nicely but we all know not all systems are the same but this is just my take on it, it should work great, one other thing you can play with the AA setting in inspector mine is 64x_4v12 best visuals with this setting some say it might me high but not much different then lower settings but the image quality is much better for sure. Good luck any questions just ask. I have tried a bunch of different stuff this always seems to end up being the best setup for me all systems different but …

This probably has been asked before, but I only find discussions of the default eyepoint position in VC. I got the RealAir Turbine Duke, and in its manual there is the option mentioned to have several of the panel-zoomed perspectives (3D) linked to quick access keys in the FSX keycommand menu. One only had to assign keys to cameras 5-9, (1 probably is the default pilot view, 2-4 are missing), since 5-9 corresponds with these zoomed VC views on different parts of the panel. Give it a key, and you can jump to it directly. I did, and it works, and it is nice. Better, much better than needing to cycle through all them in sequence, by pressing A. I would love to have t…

FSLabs made the Concorde X less than 2 years, a less banal plane and at PMDG quality. so why PMDG took 4 years to make simple planes compared to concorde x ?? aren't they working 5 days per week ? if not, they should (and at least 6 hours per day)

Hi and the very best of the Christmas season to everyone. "Santa" brought me an external HD with SimSavvy installed. Luckily she was able to get this order processed prior to this scenery being discontinued. I see reference in the supplied paperwork to load all states being used but to only load the states needed to alleviate performance hits in some computers. I always thought that scenery was only loaded by FSX when needed according to the location of the aircraft, and so states across the other side of the country wouldn't be loaded, much less cause a performance hit. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks, Bruce.

Hello All! Just a quick question, on the Aerosim 787, is there a way to turn off the baggage loaders and/or caterers? Any textures to delete? The only reason to this is because of GSX and AES. Anyways, thank you so much! -abasa12

Its a bit of a hefty download but its worth it. I also have the other Napulevola LIRN and photoreal scenery for the Naples area. I am going to that area next year on holiday and together they make for some great views, Vesuvius is smoking still and the aquaducts and flyovers look amazing. If you have the space download the lot and be very happy. Screenshots will follow soon!

Light bloom is a huge performance hog, but I've always wondered. Does light bloom depend on the GPU instead of the CPU? If so, how do latest graphics cards cope with light bloom?

For those who own the excellent Simcheck A300, looks like the addon will be released soon. The cockpit changes and screenshots are up here: http://simchecksoftware.com/forum/index.php?topic=393.90 You will be able to run some airlines with INS, and others with CDU. I'll probably set mine up based on photos from airliners.net and keep quite a few retro liveries with INS. Not sure of the price yet but hopefully not too much.

I am looking for the best payware AI package for use with SB4 / FSInn to depict traffic when flying online. Thus, I do not need the "AI element" at all, I just need the package wich will give me the best depiction of the planes my fellow onliners are flying. What is actually important when choosing a package for my "niche" use? And, a Merry Christmas to all of you! Thanks, Regards Morten

Anyone else getting massive stutters from LatinVFR's KMIA? I have their v1.1, removed static aircraft, and still my framerate jumps from 25-30 down to 5-8 every few seconds. This not only happens when at the airport, but even in the general area. On approach when I'm over Tampa Bay even, the stuttering starts. Or right now at FSDT KFLL, I am still stuttering. This happens in no other area. Anyone else getting this?

CLS is since a couple of months not able to provide a CLS forum account to a longtime CLS customer. It's a shame. So, I'll have to find my own way... Let me describe my problem to you. You have a fresh CLS 747-200 fsx installation, it's only 1 minute old. And it works fine. You change your hardware to something accurate, something quite new. You reinstall fsx incl. activation and CLS B742 incl. your password (purchase date early December 2010). And you convert liveries like the AZ-B742 "Baci" in deep blue from fs9 to fsx, thumbnail.jpg (!) and texture.cfg included. And it's working fine again. But now, you begin to install more and more, Airports, fraps 3.5.9…

Today, after flying my NGX from KDEN to KPHX, I landed in Phoenix with Flightbeam's KPHX, and I was noticing that this scenery is proabably the best scenery I have seen in awhile. I know it's not that popuar, but I am hoping that this topic will get it some buyers, because this company is no cheap knock off scenery maker. The every cent of the $35 spend is worth it. Flightbeam has outdone themselves. While we are waiting for the 777, save your money from buying something else, and buy this scenery. The more support we give, the more scenery they make. Lets all keep FSX alive!

My off duty supervisor (wifey) got me a Buttkicker Gamer 2 for Christmas and I think it will be one of the best addons for my home cockpit when it comes to full immersion. I made a custom attachment for it and placed it below my seat, and after doing a quick test, I think it really makes the whole setup come to life, literally. Anyone else has any recent experience with this? I have both my low and high cutoff filters off and adjusted the volume so that it does not clip (red light), but was wondering if there are any tips for using it with the Cessna 172.
