Hi was wondering if some one could point me in the right direction or a solution, thought it was a orbox scenery thing but i noticed it now on non orbox sceneries, the problem is that on most airports some of the trees and buildings are replaced by black triangler or square shape objects i can live with this. I tried sliding down my sliders etc it didnt solve the issue

My passion lies with PMDG737. If I turn the scenery way down and do not use REX I cant get ok performance, but its just ugly. Whats would be my cheapest move I could make? Recently I decided to start assigning HOTAS commands through FSUIPC for the Razbam Harrier. I've got most everything working except the gun. I've got the gun selected in the HUD and the MFD in the stores display. I've got 300 rounds loaded, Master Arm is armed and the gun boxed in the MFD but the gun refuses to fire when I press the trigger. I understand that to fire weapons I'm supposed to have Cabin Alerts-Seatbelt assigned and I have been able to fire rockets from it but I've had no luck firing the gun. I've tried assigning the trigger (button 0 in FSUIPC) to the cabin alerts with no luck with the gun and I've tried the pickle assignment (button 1 in FSUIPC) as well wi…

Hi guys! I am looking to buy an extra joystick for flying fighter jets. I already have a pro flight yoke with extra throttles and switch panel and pedals. Next to this, I have a VERY old thrustmaster joystick, from which I think is called "USB Game Joystick". I am looking to replace it for flying fighter jets. I am willing to buy something expensive such as the X-65f, but is it worth buying, or should I go for the X52 or X52 pro. Or maybe with the HOTAS Warthog? Which would you prefer? (If a make any purchase, should I buy the combat rudder pedals to replace my current standard rudder pedals?) I guess the question is, which should I buy and should I buy rudder ped…

Favorite; from 120 to 140 miles out, start down at 2,000 feet per minute and what ever cruise mach then 290 to 300 knots until entering approach area. From there slow to 210 knots and descend at about 1,200 feet per minute. Boeing or Airbus. Why; estimates for top of descent, routine, helps with good or bad flight models in FSX. What are your practices? I heard some pilots set idle thrust in a clean config and take what ever comes as far as feet per minute. Regards; Fritz

I went to fly out of my local airport this evening, CYKF (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON, Canada) and was shocked that the scenery was so wrong. The default FSX was much better than what I had encountered tonight. Here is the terrain directly around CYKF. There should be a river to the south. There are no roads. There are no urban areas depicted, of which there are metro areas to the south, east and west. What's with the desert look? Hi, I've just upgraded W8 and am having an issue in dual view. If I drag the MCDU to my second screen, I cannot operate the buttons. It seems that the command area has displaced. Does anybody have a solution to this? Thanks

Hi, Since historic weather is a make-or-break issue for me, I've been holding off on Opus for a while now until there's more than 24 hours of historic weather (a year would be fine though!). But after yet another disappointing flight using ActiveSky that ended up with wrong weather depiction at my destination I'm reconsidering... I understand that METARs can be downloaded and used later by Opus. If I wanted to start assembling my own historic archive of weather, how feasible would that be? What kind of files are we talking about and, more importantly, how much storage space per day (for the whole world as covered by Opus) would that require? I may as well also…

I was asked this question and as much as I wanted to answer it, I could not provide a good answer. So, I rushed to check if FLS Airbus was released...it has not. I hurried to check PDMG's website and saw no Airbus320. I then dived towards the FSX forum and found out some people commenting which one is/would be better. Wow. Is this a beauty. BUT, I have two problems that I can't explain or fix. 1. When opening to a cold & dark state, then clicking on the battery & avionics switches, the panel comes to life. I should mention also that my default AC (not the POSKY 777) has been configured to a cold & dark state with all the autopilot readouts at "000", and saved as my default flight that way. When loading the default AC and bringing the panel to life, all the autopilot readouts show "000" as previously set. But not when loading the POSKY 777 with the JB 777 panel. See attached picture. Hi, I'm not sure what is causing this but either it's my GFX card driver or mainboard which I changed, my problem is that in FSX either after reloading it due to change of the sim rate, using something in the menu (alt key) or simply changing the view I get a complete blackscreen, the sim continues to work and I can still hear the sounds, however the screen stays black. This usually happens after lowering the sim rate from above 8x. Sometimes it helps to change to windows mode and then go back to fullscreen, but this doesn't work everytime and most of the times I may cancel the flight and restart the entire flight again, which of course is a lot of work. Any Idea?

I briefly searched the forum and found nothing. I have a bunch of World of Ai packages, including lufthansa mainline, lufthansa regional, and lufthansa cargo installed, however for some reason Frankfurt airport is completely void of any AI traffic. I have Ray Smith's awesome Frankfurt/Main v1.1 - EDDF - Germany installed, but removing that and using the default EDDF did not help. The .bgl files containing the flight plans looked ok to me, but i'm not 100% sure as I don't usually do traffic stuff myself. Just curious if anyone has seen this and if theres an answer out there. -pk

Hi Guys I'm running FSX on full settings and I have decent fps, about 40-50 flying the likes of the NGX in VC with addon scenery etc but during descent and landing I get massive blurries on the scenery of the airports and the ground around it, sometimes to the point that half of the airport I've landed at hasn't even loaded. Anyone have any tips?

I am pretty new to these forums however I have been playing flight simulator since FS2004, I occurred a problem recently where I would fly in my PMDG 737ngx for about 10-20 minutes after take off, then FSX would just stop working, I could still hear the plane engines but it is obvious the game has froze. I have read over countless forum postings about this and there is a solution but that is for WIN7 32-bit users, I have WIN7 64-bit so I don't know what is wrong with my system. My FSX laptop recently broke down and I had my friend fix it. He said he'll install Windows 7 for me. I was both excited and worried. I'm an amateur user to Windows 7 (Since my high school computers' system is Windows 7), but since I haven't used FSX in Windows 7, I'm worried as to the errors that may occur. I've read some forums and saw that FSX runs into problems when running under Windows 7. Can you guys give me any advice when running FSX under Windows 7? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks.

I am wondering how to reinstall simconnect. Do I have to completely uninstall FSX. I have so many add ons I would hate to have to start from scratch again. My simconnect isn't working with FSUIPC. Sometimes it does and other times it doesn't so I am wondering if it corrupt.

The default drive for flightplans in FSX is C, Username, Documents, Flight Simulator X files. I can go into the Flight Planner, Load Flight Plan and change to the drive and file location that I want which is H: Flight Simulator X Flight plans and access the flight plans in the folder. I want it to default to this drive, and folder. How do I get this to happen. I also want the files that I save to default to this same folder instead of the C: Username, Documents, Flight Simulator X file. Thank you for any help offered. Lynn

So I just got the AirbusX Extended, and may I say it is a wonderful airplane! Hi, I recently reinstalled FSX into the programme files (not the x86 one) after experiencing the fatal error problem. However, upon loading FSX again I noticed that the aircraft where funny shapes with bits over here and bits over there. This is also true for the scenery, as for example, there's now a hill cutting right across both runways at KSEA. Has anyone got a solution to this? Dale

Does anyone else have this product? I just bought it, and have been trying to update it to the latest 1.9 version but it refuses to update. Keeps telling me version 1.6 in FSX. I've emailed their support email twice over 48 hours and no response from these guys. Do they have a forum somewhere?
